There have been a couple of timelines done already. The problem is not knowing the exact time the girls really left (clock could have been wrong) and the exact time of the phone calls from the grandparents to the cell phone. The 911 call is basically all we know for certain. Right? Basically, we are looking at a timeline of near 5:00pm to 5:40pm. Nothing within that framework is going to be able to be verified without the records of the cell phone.

Envoy, it was sweet you thought of Taylor when seeing the turtle. I have a feeling a lot of us will be reminded of her from now on in that small way.

I think we can tell by the sketch they are productive leads. They are headed in the right direction and I would be very surprised if they don't already have a name to be working on from additional leads. Someone knows this guy and this sketch is plastered across the state and the country.

It is just too bad that AMW didn't see the need to post it last night. GRRRRR!

I just went to AMW website (where they have the sketch posted) and sent an email asking why they didn't show the sketch or describe the POI on the show (it bugs me as that show gets seen by a lot of people, right)? Maybe they rushed it and didn't have all of the info prepared?

John Walsh could have taken five seconds to hold a copy of the sketch up!! No excuse for not showing it.

I have been less than impressed with AMW on several occassions as to accuracy in their stories etc. Now I am just mad at them!

Why do you say that? Do we know how many family members showed up at the funeral? Didn't some of her siblings live in Weleetka and her uncle too or do I have that wrong.

imoo

I believe I read that Taylor's one brother and two sisters live in Weleetka and one brother lives in Sallisaw.

  • #705
Hmmm...it just reminded me when they said they were expanding their search the other day that they mentioned Sallisaw, didn't they?

Timeline, based on what we know.

This is based on distance. I think it opens up a discrepancy regarding either when Skyla's mother called or why Grandpa waited as long as he did to look for the girls.

Following is based on:

6/10 mile to the bridge = 3168 approx. 3170 feet
3 mph that average woman walks = 1 mile per 20 minutes = 1/2 mile per 10 minutes =
2640 feet approx 2650 or 265 feet per minute.
2270 feet return from the bridge = 3170 feet to bridge minus 900 feet (300 yds that news reports say the bodies were found from the house).
Girls made it to the bridge and were returning back.
Girls were shot and killed where they were found.

5:00 girls leave
5:01 265 feet from house
5:02 530 feet from house
5:03 795 feet from house
5:04 1060
5:05 1325
5:06 1590
5:07 1955
5:08 2120
5:09 2385
5:10 2650
5:11 2715
5:12 2980
5:13:45 at bridge at approx 3170 feet return home
5:14:45 265 feet from bridge
5:15:45 530 feet from bridge
5:16:45 795 feet from bridge
5:17:45 1060
5:18:45 1325
5:19:45 1590
5:20:45 1955
5:21:21 2120 feet from bridge/900 feet from house. News reports first state girls died between 5:20 and 5:25

Assuming the same rate of speed for grandfather, he must leave the house to look for the girls around 5:26

5:27 265 feet from house
5:28 530 feet
5:29 795
5:29:25 900 feet from house discovers body

He doesn't notice anything at 5:26 when he goes on the road that makes him run or makes him go to the car. So, the crime happens probably only 5 minutes before he takes out after them. Not really enough time for the POI to be dallying by the side of the road after the murders, unless he sees grandpa in the distance and leaves, but grandpa doesn't report anything, and his actions don't really show that he does.

So, if Skyla's mother did really call at 5:08 to see state that she was coming to pick her up, does it really take 16 minutes (5:08 to 5:26) to call the girls and be concerned that they don't answer? I am wondering if there are some slow clocks at Skyla's house and the phone call was closer to either 5:13 or maybe even 10 minutes off and really 5:18, which makes more sense. 5:18 chit chat, 5:20 try to call the girls. No answer. Hang up. Maybe try to call again. 5:22 . Get concerned. grandpa puts on shows or something and heads out at 5:26?

Seminole isn't far from Weleetka. I wonder what color the truck is?

Authorities are investigating a Seminole man’s death after his wife backed over him with a pickup truck Saturday night.

Shane Warledo, 27, was arguing with his wife, Starlite Warledo, 28, as the couple drove along a gravel county road east of Seminole around 6:30 p.m.

Shane Warledo got out of the truck and was hit as his wife tried to turn the 1999 Ford pickup around.

Pretty tight timeline. So, who is your poi?

  • #712
Why? Why would he feel the need to come dressed to hide his tattoos? It would make it premeditated.

Could he also be hiding track marks on his arms?

Other possible reasons:

Has some physical reaction from sun due to disease or medications
Lives without A/C and is used to it
Some work he was doing, such as farming
Thought he was dressed up since he had on a bluish gray long sleeve shirt
Mental problems
Trying to cover up being a very thin person

Timeline, based on what we know.

Thanks for great details! I was thinking maybe he tried to call a few times (thinking they were just dawdling) and then finally went out.

Sorry for this late photo in response to posts earlier in the day, but I was gone.

Here's a better perspective of the road. Note in the distance, the other truck and as the road blends into the distance a curve to the left.

this is County Line Rd. looking south. The crime scene was close, but not as close as the other photo indicated.

Although I don't think the driver waited around much after the murders, from this perspective (I think the other truck in the distance is the one parked next to Taylor's house), that area of the road with the overhang of the trees would provide a perfect hiding spot to lay in wait for someone returning from the bridge on the west side of the road.

How right you are and I think whoever did this was waiting and hiding until the girls were right there practically in front of them.

I wonder if the POI (if he did it) could have actually had his truck backed up into the tree area and the girls walked past without seeing it and him at first.

I just had a thought about motive....did Taylor and Skyla know of bys or men that were in a gay relationship but had not come out of the closet yet and were they killed because they discovered the secret? Just a thought.

No, the truck is parked right next to their mailbox if you will look closely. The white one that is.
