I really think if there was a connection the local media (if not the national) would have picked up on by now.

They wouldn't publish anything unless there is a solid proof. The media may not have any more information than we do. It's all hinky but nothing solid. And it seems the only time the media throws info like that out there anymore is if LE confirms it first.

Just a quick post from a lurker...

I'm not thoroughly convinced the POI is tribal NA. One value of any Native American community is that they genuinely love children. If for one second any tribe thought the POI was a member of a community, they would not protect him. Perhaps he could have NA blood but is not a tribal member.

Then, too, Mexicans are mostly a mixture of Spanish and NA. Could the POI be Hispanic?

This bothers me too. Had he heard something earlier and dismissed it and the unanswered phone gets him to thinking?

Plus didn't Skyla's mom come from the north? She must have otherwise she would have gone to the house first. So she would be driving on the road where the girls were walking. This is leisure rural living right, that's why everybody is walking, so when Skyla's mom drives past the girls she picks them up and goes to Taylor's house and drops Taylor off and heads home.

I asked this before and nobody touched it with a 10 foot pole. Skyla's mom was going to be driving along the road the girls were walking, why did Grandpa have to go look for them?

That does not bother me at all. For example, my son went for a bike ride late this evening with a friend. They did not come back when it was dark, so I started calling around. I called his friend's cell, no answer. I called his friend's home phone and he wasn't there. I started calling all his friend's houses. His friend's Dad went out looking for them. I was about to send my husband out and another neighbor offered to go out looking. My son then strolls home. He had been at a friend's house playing pool and "didn't know it was dark out." I chewed him out, and we have new rules in place. So, no, I don't think it was unusual for the grandpa to go looking for them. It shows he was on top of things.

The girls must have known something that could really do tremendous damage to someone. I keep asking myself why would someone kill two innocent young girls...and I keep thinking they had to have found out something..someone's terrible secret...like I mentioed before 2 guys in a gay relationship..that would not go over well in Oklahoma...especially if one of the guys is an older man and the other is a young teenager. I may not be right about this but I gotta be honest...it is what keeps coming into my head. They knew something awful about someone...something that would destroy someone. They couldn't be allowed to live with the knowledge they had.

I don't pity whoever takes on that task. It's hard work and I know I won't keep it straight. I have a neighbor who keeps telling me she'll teach me the ropes of geneology through the LDS church. I should be thrilled but I'm not!

I'm a genealogist and have done a bit of digging on the Getman surname in Missouri, as it appears that's where Skyla's biological parents were from. What I've got so far is that Kim Douglas Getman is about 48 years old and apparently has been married three times.

I thought Mexicans are also known for their love of children......even raising extended family members' children in great numbers.

I don't think because someone is of a particular race makes them immune to doing crimes like this one though.

I don't imagine he is in the area anymore. He may have his own set of guys he hangs with.

imoo

Maybe we need to figure out who this Diesel guy is?

I cannot imagine this type of situation would bring about an execution style, cold-blooded murder of two children in broad daylight. I'm much more inclined to believe it was drug related. I also believe that someone who was at that bridge knows something. And I believe (and hope and pray!!!) that LE knows waaaaay more than we do!

If a hired killer killed the girls, in my opinion, they wouldn't have shot them so many times. I would think they would take a head shot and be done. I may be wrong but it sems the less noise and time spent the better.

No wonder you are so good at this!

It not against the law to be gay in Oklahoma. It goes over in Oklahoma just as well as any where else. I know a few gay people in Okla and thery are treated just about the same as every one else. Before you say but this is a small town so is the the town I came from. You just make it sound like that people get killed in okla just for being gay. I don't think think age would have anything to do with it either. No wrose than and a older man and younger girl.

You could be right on the money...we just don't know and so we offer up some theories. People kill for 5 bucks nowadays...no empathy whatsoever. In all reality it could be one of several different motives...mine is just one..your is another. Let's just all say a very very special prayer tonight that we will wake up and the headlies will read... Arrest Made In Young Girls's Murders.

Multiple shots is to confuse LE and OSBI. Apparently, it worked. IMO

Thank you so much for bringing that up. And I agree with your thoughts, also that the POI could be Hispanic.
