I became a "member" of the HOA website a while back cuz I was curious if there was a limit to the number of people living in a home LOL. My access is coming in handy!

AWESOME! I have some questions:

Is a homeowner living in Steve Powell's gated community allowed to rent out rooms?

Is there a limit on how many people can live in a household?

Are there any stipulations in particular about who is allowed to live in the community or how many vehicles can be owned and parked in the community per household?

I am wanting to know if Steve Powell is violating any of the community rules by having all of his grown children living in his house with him.

Does each house have a septic tank - leach field or are they connected to a city sewer system?

It sure does, doesn't it, Alexis? What a shame - the poor Powells are being harassed especially because purple represents domestic violence. Boo hoo!

Josh should be surrounded with black ribbons. The color would represent very well his entire future.

The president of the Homeowners' Association can hang his head in shame :blushing: when Josh is convicted of the brutal murder of Charlie and Braden's mommy.

Talk about irony, no? Afer reading other posts about the HOA, rules and so on, I agree it needs to be consistent if they are wanting to appear unbiased and professional towards all the tennants in the community, imo.

Its also too bad that Daddy P did nothing but teach his kids to be dependent on him and play the role of their enablers. Not to mention living on another planet if they think they can protect Josh from reality and believe he won't have to face the consequences for his actions.

But, they say truth is stranger than fiction, and we see it all the time in murder cases, don't we?

I don't know -- but it's obvious Lawlis enforces the Homeowner's Association rules arbitrarily.

No matter what the HOA rules dictate, It didn't seem to bother Lawlis that "Jaeden's party signs & balloons" remained intact after Susan's flyers & ribbons were removed.

Lawlis excused "Jaeden's signs" by stating they were on county property and not subject to Homeowner Association rules. However, "Private Road" was written on the top of the street signs. Lawlis admitted the signs BELONGED to the HOA. Therefore, Lawlis lied - Jaeden's signs were NOT on county property!

It seems pretty obvious that at least one reason Susan's signs were treated differently from Jaeden's signs & balloons was because Powell had complained and wanted Susan's flyers gone.

If it was simply a matter of breaking HOA rules, ALL the signs should have been treated equally. They weren't -- and I'm sure they won't be in the future.

Oooooh how I hope old man Powell and his cowardly wimp of a son have tons to complain about in the future. The sooner the better!

Pickie, I was wondering the same thing. Isn't he in a 5 BR house? Thought I read somewhere he wanted to rent out the BR's for side income?

If they are one of those communities that don't allow street parking after 11:00 p.m. or midnight, unless DaddyP has a 3 car garage, I can't imagine trying to accommodate all those vehicles in his driveway! We're looking at 5 cars, no? And if Josh isn't the only one with a van, thats more space as well.

Of being on the Internet, dealing with missing person's and their families, helping them with websites dedicated to their missing loved ones, I have never seen a more self serving, arrogant, and blatant attempt to make the "person of interest" in this case seem like a good guy.

The site isn't about Susan, it is about how Josh views Susan and how he wants the world to know how wonderful he was to Susan.

Example;

Susan never held back when it came to purchases at the beauty supply. Of course, Josh has always been happy to support Susan's efforts in any way he could. Josh suggested that she turn it into a real business and he offered to teach her accounting basics. Josh is a Quickbooks Certified Pro Advisor and has a degree in Business Administration.

"Of course Josh has always been happy to support Susan's efforts . . . "

Whoever put this together for Josh needs to stop and never do this again for another human being.

This makes Josh look so damn guilty I can't even believe it.

Please, someone preserve this site because it will come down but it is important that we have a copy of it for future reference.

Isn't it amazing? What gets me is that he is so in the dark about how he is perceived. Most people wouldn't put up a site like that, because they would realize that is wouldn't come close to passing any rational reader's sniff test. He seems either too ignorant, too egotistical, or both to get that.

It's shocking. I wonder what his attorney is telling him about that nonsense. I wonder if he is even talking regularly with his attorney, at this point.

Those poor boys, living in that home full of crazy people.

I think Josh most certainly killed Susan, but I don't think this photo is photoshopped.

I don't think Susan's arm is missing. Her hand may be under the little boy's right arm and we can't see it because of his puffy coat.

The line under her right leg? I think it's just a shadow of her leg against the snow from the flash of the camera or the fire.

I think the snow in some places looks whiter because it is less dirty.

I think Josh's photoshop skills amount to some use of blurring, but that's about it. I don't think this whole photo is doctored. :twocents:

Just curious, erynne936 ... do you believe that the fire in Josh's photo is also a legitimate part of the original virgin photo?

If so, are you experienced with photo editing and knowledgeable about the use of Photoshop?

There is a freeware pdf writer program I've downloaded and used on various computers for years. It is absolutely safe to use. You can download it here:
http://www.cutepdf.com/

After you download and install it, go to the http://susanpowell.org web site then hold down the ctrl key and press p to print the page. Instead of selecting your physical printer, select "Cute PDF" then save the resulting document in your documents folder. Repeat the process for each page.

You can use the freeware program GIMP to convert the pdf files to .jpg images by downloading GIMP here: http://www.gimp.org/windows/

Once you have downloaded GIMP, open up the program, click on "File", click on "Open", locate your document in your documents folder and click on it then click on "Import".

Once it is opened, click on "Image" then "Duplicate". Now click on the X at the top right hand corner to close the image then click on "Save". You will then be prompted to type a title for the image which you MUST end with .jpg. (Make sure to save your jpg image where you can easily find it again.) Now click on EXPORT then SAVE and you are done.

I was really hoping SP was in some sort of violation, but he's not. The only restriction on the household residents is that a dwelling that is zoned for "single family" cannot have more than 4 adults who are not legally related. (Section 1.24)

Regarding vehicles, I can't find any restrictions on the quantity or on street parking, however the HOA website http://www.silvercreekwa.com/index.php had a member poll about "what is the biggest problem in the neighborhood?" and Street Parking was the #1 result.

But they aren't cheap. Where would Susan have got the $ to buy one without Josh knowing? Less she did it using $ from her private account she allegedly had that he didn't know of.

My husband checked into getting a second set of keys for his Ford. It was $80 for the metal key (and if you buy more than one, the second key is only $30. The first key costs more due to set up costs and programming it - theres a chip on it), and another $125-ish for the electronic part of the keychain. Needless to say husband still only has one set of car keys, not wanting to shell out that kind of money.

Wow, this is news to me. I had one made for my car and they didn't charge me a cent. Granted, it's just a key and no programmable unit is applicable to it. (alarm and push button lock/entrance). But she wouldn't necessarily need that for an emergency. OT but I would think the auto dealership should have supplied two programmed sets upon purchase...unless bought used or on the open market.

nice tone. it was just my personal opinion, and i am all for thinking outside the box and exploring all the angles, but i think some people are looking way too hard into this photo. no i'm not a doctor of photoshopography or anything like that. are you or any other posters who are giving their opinion that this photo is photoshopped?

FWIW, whether the photo is genuine or photo shopped is really pointless. I think the photo is just JP's poor attempt to exonerate himself.

I mean, for all we know, he could have secretly plotted her "disappearance" months in advance. He may have taken this photo simply to prove they went smore making in the dead of winter so that his story about taking the boys out at night would have some credibility.

The very fact that he posted all that garbage about how supportive he was of her and what an awesome guy he is is more damning than any photo shopped picture, IMO.

Let's hope he continues editing &/or posting pictures, he's just digging himself a deeper hole.

I'll try to answer some of your questions. Our neighborhood falls under the same HOA as Country Hollow. As renters we are not in the HOA, but I get the gossip on some habitual offenders from my neighbors and make observations.

If there is a limit on number of people it is not enforced. We have a family close to us that seriously has 12-14 people (adults and children) living in the home. Although the homes in here are larger than most in Country Hollow this is a pretty crazy situation. The HOA has numerous complaints on this extended family living situation and nothing is done.

The HOA puts "tickets" on vehicles that are left on the street overnight. I don't think there is much follow through done. The family mentioned above was getting them non stop, but I think they mostly gave up on them, or clearly they are not enforcing it.

I would imagine that SP has a 2 car garage and the driveway would hold 2 vehicles as well.
