Sleuthing Cindy's Depo & Baez Objections to Sealed Items

Just a thought...could the tooth referred to be KC's baby tooth? Most moms keep the baby teeth. But why would they even want KC's baby tooth? :waitasec:

Great thread, btw! Good sleuthing!

Hi Paintr,

Long time, no see!

Kids usually don't loose their baby teeth until 5 or 6 years old. Caylee wouldn't have lost any teeth yet.

I am thinking Exhibit 22 is larger than what is shown in the PDF. Ashton is saying the "top picture is sealed". Then Cindy starts to say she recognizes the handwriting on the left but not the right. So the question is what was at the top of that page? The top picture is a picture of something Casey gave Baez b/c they talk about limiting the answer to only items that Cindy had given Baez.

So they don't talk about whatever that picture was and then they continue on and they talk about what photos, videos or images Cindy observed Casey gathering to bring to Baez and he starts having a hissy fit.

So I think there are two issues here...there is a picture of something that is sealed that Casey gave to Baez and there is the issue that Casey gathered up pictures, videos, etc to take to Baez to be sold. Around that time they were also asking about Casey being in the garage alone....Cindy was adamant Casey had not been in the garage alone. Could Casey have given Baez a some duct tape from the garage?

Paintr was talking about Casey's tooth not Caylee's. (I made the same mistake on first reading, too.)

I noticed in Cindy's depo..they note she is crying when they are questioning her about what she found in the backseat of the car... she says pants, boots, Caylee's carseat...says she lifted up the carseat to see if there was anything under it. Do you think she found Caylee's front tooth in or around the carseat? She knows that Caylee was probably hit in the face while sitting in the carseat and that is what got her so emotional at that point? I can see it.. Casey...leaves angry, Caylee in carseat, perhaps crying and Casey turns around and hits her, knocking her front tooth out...which leads next to murdering her because she can't bring her home with a missing tooth and bruised face...Caylee would tell what happened.
And the carseat...Cindy says Casey's was black and white, and the one in Cindy's car was the brown Eddie Bauer. Did she find blood on the black and white one from the tooth loss, dispose of it and put the Eddie Bauer one in Casey's car? LE has the Eddie Bauer one...where is the black and white one??

Good thought. I wonder if Dr. G would be able to tell if a tooth was broken off by the condition of the mandible and maxilla (lower and upper jaw bones). Surely that would have come out in the autopsy report. Wouldn't it?

Maybe not..because it was a non-rooted baby tooth. It is interesting how the front tooth is missing and Cindy oddly keeps making a point of saying Caylee has 20 teeth, not 18. Hmmm... so 3 teeth not found would be less suspect than 1 front tooth not being found?? That would be my guess.

In the hearing yesterday LDB alluded to the fact that the family may sell the autopsy photos, then changed it to something like "what family would do that?" Then stated that she was not concerned for the family but for Caylee. I think this was after JB said that KC was next of kin and owned the pictures.
CA said in her depo that she had received $10,000 but it has been reported that over $200,000 has been paid.
How did the SA know to question GA about the laundry bag containing balls. Is there a picture we haven't seen?

This developing theory has also given me new perspective when recalling CA becoming SOOOOOOO outraged when Momtective posted video and photos many of us may not have seen.* Perhaps.....unaware that those videos were out on the web, she viewed it as a possible detriment to the deal KC made with JB.* Let's be honest.... the A family didn't / doesn't want to support KC.* Her jail account is proof of that.* I also remember that CA wanted to copyright Caylee's name and any likeness of her.* I am sure now, well as sure as I can be (IMO) that her real concerns were not over perfect strangers using Caylee's likeness, but over JB making more off of them than she could.* Nothing the A family does anymore even phases me.....I expect nothing but bad behavior and lies....but given their dislike of JB, it kind of makes sense why that became such an issue.* I always wondered if KC was bringing cute Target bras and nighties in that backpack.* I also suspected she was loading up on snacks to bring for a "carpet picnic" ala "Pretty Woman".* I think we have now determined within reason that she was bringing ANYTHING with Caylee's likeness to keep CA from using it and because she needed it more.* Maybe, CA was more than willing to share because she wanted to throw JB's deal out in the open AND under the bus.* He has alienated KC from her family for his own profit.* ANYONE care to place bets on whether he EVER gets another client?* How much do we want to bet that the brokered deal is associated with certain media specialists that are now absent from the case.* Perhaps that's a new thread we could open and angle to sleuth.

Re-read it. It's one page with Exhibit 22 at the top and Exhibit 23 at the bottom. The picture we have of the two pages is Exhibit 22. Please note that at no time was it stated that the EXHIBIT was sealed. What was stated was "we have an exhibit" that has an objection so we won't be asking any more questions on that. They did not exclude the exhibit.

I am not sure she was concerned about the family selling them as much as the "slimy defense". JS said he understood the State's position and mentioned them "protecting the rights of the family" whereas LDB added that the States position was to protect the rights deceased child. I think that JB mentioned next of kin to further his cause by saying that the "next of kin" did not object to the release to experts in another manner than server. I also believe that the State wanted to make public the fact that THEY have Caylee's best interests as a high priority. While AL may have balked at the correction that LDB made regarding the position of the State. We have to remember that everything is transcribed for the record. AL took it as a personal "dig"....LDB was making sure the record reflects their position. She is a class act and on top of her game!

Do you suppose the court reporter would have included Andrea Lyons "Oh my God" comment when LBD stated whose interests she was there to protect? :furious:

That is correct. The LAST we heard, BC had the diary. Doesn't prevent him from sharing with JB and the SAO is aware of it. If BC had not involved himself in that part of the objection I wouldn't have thought about it. But he did.

What ever it is, it's damming for KC or at least JB thinks so.

I believe it was during a LK appearance that BC mentioned that HE had possession of the diary. I also recall that we were posting about that at the time on some thread and questioning why LE did not take possession of the diary at the time they photographed it.

You are correct, EC.

I was a little surprised that LE didn't want the whole thing, just a pic of those 2 pages.

Speculating: Or maybe there are pics of other pages and they are sealed for some reason?

I am still confused about something being sealed that we are not aware of?

IF something (photo, etc) is under seal, wouldn't that have happened during a hearing or in response to a motion?

Is there such a thing a being "secretly sealed" under Florida Sunshine Law (does THAT even make sense???)???

I don't think something can be 'secretly' sealed - however I do have an idea.

Could one of the photos be a frame capture of the infamous Casey-Anthony-hears-the-news-her-daughter's-body-has-been-found jail video? That one was sealed?

As far as I know, the only 'sealed' testimony so far was the in camera discussion about how the defense was being funded. Judge Strickland sealed the video tape of KC at the jail the day Caylee was found, but that doesn't seem to be in play here. Ergo (I love using that word) the exhibit that freaked JB out to the point of being nasty to CA has to be related in some way to the defense funding. So, for right now I am sticking to my theory. However, if that one does not pan out, I would go with the theory posted that JB did not turn over everything when he was ordered to. Oh wouldn't that be loverly if it could be proven?

Weren't there some photobucket photos also sealed? Why am I recalling Strickland agreeing during a hearing that he had viewed the photos and agreed that they were inflammatory or "compromising"...???

My memory is flawed, so please humor me, LOL ....... but, weren't there some pics of KC (the "so-called bad pictures") sealed?

I am vaguely recalling that too...I can see Strickland (in my head) commenting about them being "compromising" or something like that because I thought it was funny at the time watching the hearing and seeing KC sitting looking at Strickland commenting on her "bad pictures"

Now that you mention it, I remember the same thing.

Agreed. By family I meant KC.(should have said that) LDB stated that the position of the "family in the court room" was not relevant. I thought that Al looked at KC with pity when she said OMG because AL thought that LDB was insinuating that KC would sell the pictures.

Well, were the pictures (for example) of the placement of the tape on the skull "officially" sealed? Maybe there are some things that are sealed that there was no motion for? I dunno. . . But I don't remember a specific motion for that; was there?
