SALEM, Ore.
SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Investigators trying to find missing Oregon boy Kyron Horman are distributing a flier asking if anyone saw his stepmother near Skyline School on the day he vanished.
The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office also wants to know if stepmother Terri Horman's white pickup truck

was seen at or near the school on June 4 — the day of the disappearance.

The sheriff's office has not described Terri Horman as a person of interest in the case.
The 7-year-old boy went missing after a morning science fair. His absence was reported that afternoon, when he failed to return home on a school bus and his stepmother contacted the school.

so, now that I can say something, I am too overcome to say anything.

:praying: for Kyron

I just can't imagine what in the heck happened! She takes him to his school then decides to dispose of him?????????

When this first broke, I did a bit of research, and I said, "no way she's involved." But the more I dug, the more I found, and within two days, my opinion had changed.

It is sickening to think that a person who seemed to have a great life, husband, children, stepson, could harbor the kind of hatred necessary to harm a child in her care.

I know that it's something that no one wants to think. And we want to look for other perpetrators, because it's just sickening to think that the woman smiling in photos with the child could harm the child.

It's the worst kind of crime. =( IF she did this, after everything this community has been through, I don't know if there's any way that she can sufficiently atone for this.

All my opinion.

I think I will wait until after the press conference to comment on this thread...I am really feeling weird about all this.

She's toast. If they can't confirm anything, the implications are there. Her life is over as she has known it.

I wonder if Bio Dad is with her and how it's working out for him living with her.

The Willamette Week article, as well as other articles that reference it, may now be linked to and discussed.

Thank you all so very much for your patience!

I believe Terri has been the focus of this investigation from day one...I think LE has very systematically conducted this investigation in a manner that would insure her safety as well as the safety of those with her. Handling the situation with kid gloves so to speak...absolutely no pun intended.

I think, as numerous other posters have alluded, that this was not a spur of the moment thing. I think it was planned. And the idea of trying to pull it off in the midst of the school science fair was a major part of the plan. The chaos, lots of people milling about, the fact that the school day started earlier than usual, these were all pieces of the puzzle that the perp was counting on.

I wonder if the artwork was released to make the perp (if it's the SM) break down with guilt? Red Squirrel=SM and Sun=Son. JMO

I am going to guess that the family won't be there at the press conference. I am also going to guess that LE won't name a person of interest. If they came out and admitted it then people are going to be demanding that they make an arrest. I am sure this is a mess for LE. I am sure they have been trying to keep this quiet for a long time. It's been kind of an open secret. Media has been behind LE and keeping this quiet and then WW comes along and doesn't go with it. I trust WW completely. I've been reading it since I moved here nearly 30 years ago and they are often ahead of things.
I just feel so bad for mom and dad. I am sure they have had their suspicions, especially with the stepfather being LE. I am sure they have been doing what LE suggests to help the investigation.
I don't expect much for LE but I hope they do give out some information.

That is the part that I struggle with as well. You take him to school, then leave with him, to kill him. She must have snapped.
