Desiree says "It's been a rude awakening to realize the process and to realize they are not just going to walk up to Terri and put her in jail because we know she's involved and we have all this evidence"

There are still "millions of data points" that need to be examined. Those points come from all the cell phone calls picked up by 11 towers within a certain radius of Skyline School -- what investigators call "ground zero" -- during the six-hour span on June 4, 2010, when Kyron's disappearance went unreported. --Oregonian story

Stepping back a moment, does it startle anyone else that LE is going to look into a million other cell calls which may or may not, most likely not, be related to this case. I wish there was a better explanation here because this seems like an unprecedented invasion of privacy of people not remotely related to this case...it seems akin to asking for the DNA of all men in a certain age range when police are hunting for a serial killer (the courts struck that request down..another state) Wow.

What phone data would the school have that couldn't be gotten some other way? But again are all the other teachers, administrators subject to having their privacy invaded. The computer logons may have been different if they kept a record book of something but many court decisions over getting that data from public libraries. Seems to me there's some major privacy issues to be considered here that no one is looking at.

Don't misunderstand, I want Kyron found. I'm still hopeful he's alive. Just looking at the process here and haven't seen anyone else raise the question.

What does this change of wording mean, from MCSO, where they say that Kyron was last seen in front of his classroom doorway? I have never seen it worded that way before. Seen by whom? It does not specify Terri Horman as before whenver MCSO addressed last seen by. And I thought he had been last seen 150 feet away? Had he made it to his doorway when TH supposedly turned around? But why don't they mention who saw him there?

I've never seen that wording either. I know all other reports reports said he was last seen by TH. And, I thought she had last seen him on the first floor?

I am a bit irritated about the time being given to us. In that flashalert it says "nearly six hours". 8:45am to 3:30pm is nearly SEVEN hours. Nearly SIX hours would have him being disappeared at 9:45am. Can someone please clarify this?

Also, IMO if he was at the door of his classroom, this means that others should have seen him. With the new statement of where he was seen and 6 not 7 hours being referenced; I am really wishing for the FL sunshine laws right now!

Oh no, it doesn't sound good. "If something breaks"

Very disheartening. I was happy for a second when I saw that they had at least been looking into a wider circle of people than I initially thought. But, wow...just not feeling good about this investigation right now. :(

BBM: I have never seen it worded this way either. From what I remember, Terrie watched Kyron walk towards the door of his classroom -- and wasn't it stated that she "waved" to Kyron as he walked down to his classroom ?

When I get time, I am going to go back and re-read some of the "initial" news reports ...

Thanks for posting this article.

I agree Donjeta -- it does NOT sound good.

"IF something breaks" leads me to believe that this "might" be heading to be a "cold case." :maddening:

Prayers that Kyron is found soon !

What strikes me is this is not an article but a press release and yet stated differently from everything MCSO has been quoted as saying about the last sighting of Kyron prior to now, as far as I know.

Kyron's stepmother reports she last saw him at approximately 845 AM Friday, walking down the hallway towards his classroom. School staff report not seeing him after 845 AM and that he did not make it to his classroom.

(snip)

This is the from the first press release from MCSO.

OK, to me that is quite different and indicates someone else may have seen him at the door of his classroom since we know they have not been talking with TH on a regular basis so that her story could have evolved to this degree.

Was it TP?

Was it TP?

Here's what T said :

"...Jason Gates said Kyron's stepmother brought him to school for a school science fair and last saw Kyron near his classroom at about 8:45 a.m.

TP, Kyron's classmate, said he last saw his friend at about the same time when Kyron told him he was headed to look at another student's science project.

"He walked by the hallway and I'm like, 'Hi, Kyron,' and he's like, 'Hi. I'm going to go see this cool one. It's electric.' I'm like, 'Alright, bye.' And that's the last time I saw him," T said. "He never did make it back to class."

What did he mean by "by the hallway"? That sounds like he (T) was in/at the classroom, and Kyron walked by him in the hallway.
