SM as a potential focus of the investigation

*IF* she is their POI, why would they let this happen.. *IF* she harmed Kyron, and then she has the freedom to just come and go as she pleases, what if she hurts herself... Did this sort of thing happen in the Trenton Ducet (sp?) case....

BBM You mean let her drive her vehicle somewhere? They can't stop her just because she's a poi (if she's a poi).

I think as far as SM goes, her life is over. With that questionnaire given out, I think a lot of people are going to draw their own conclusions, and I think of lot of them are not going to be supportive of SM.

Such a blanket questionnaire is bizarre, if you ask me.

I think they are hoping that they can make someone crack.

Turning the pressure. Turning, turning.

But if a person is a sociopath, that won't work.

Just because they are cooperating, doesn't mean they are not the LE's POI/suspect. It only means they are answering & giving LE info when LE wants it.... IMO

I am trying to remember a case where the suspect fully cooperated with LE from day one and kept continuing to do so. Most of the ones I can remember may have done an initial interview and next thing we know they had lawyered up pretty quickly.

I find it odd that LE decided to make the questionnaire public when they have been so private about most everything else. They could have easily gave the questionnaire and flyer to everyone at the school without letting the media know. They obviously have a reason...I just want to know what it is! :waitasec:

They are the best. I think it is due to WS being mentioned twice in negative light for putting out info, once in a comment of an article and can't remember the one from yesterday.

Even tho it turns out the info wasn't posted on WS first, c'est la vie. It's done and out there. Hence the being overly cautious to make sure nothing is posted here that shouldn't be.

They're overworked and waaaayyyyy underpaid...the level of moderation here at WS is what sets us apart from other crime froums...WS rises to the top like cream...hands down the best true crime forum on the net.

That's exactly what I think...they know the internet is going crazy with theories on the perp---by releasing the questionnaire is only adding fuel to the fire. The LE is subtly pointing the finger without coming out and saying it. I think they are hoping she will crack.

Bringing my post over from other thread;

IMO there is an underlying purpose for distributing these questionaires. I do not believe that it is to gather information (or additional information) regarding who saw Terri and/or the white truck that morning/day and what time... this is not how information is collected from potential witnesses of a crime and it is certainly not the correct way to build a prosecutable case against her. This flyer questionaire campaign would never stand up in a court of law. I mean come on, talk about LE baising witnesses! My hunch is that LE is using this questionaire as a means to acquire as many handwriting samples as possible from everyone/anyone who was at the school that day to compare to a letter or a message left somewhere from the perp. MOATM ~

ETA: There's a huge difference between LE seeking or soliciting tips from the public by providing a toll-free number and an email address to submit tips versus sending out a flyer that asks questions about one specific person, including a picture of that one person.

Good thoughts, but I'm thinking LE is keeping very close tabs on where she goes, who she's with and what she does.

Terri Horman drove out her driveway today and of course wouldn't stop to talk to media.

The truck has been returned.

Terri Horman was the LAST PERSON to see Kyron. Said that clearly.

Investigators are aware of the uncle thing, and are looking at it, but do not believe that it's connected to Kyron's investigation.

Now looking at Lindsey Baum. Her mother has reached out to the Hormans/Youngs.

Wonder if a tracking device was installed in the car whist it was in the shop :waitasec:

She also was on the media so that doesn't help indicate guilt or innocence. And it took her 9 days to confess so she kept up the rouse for a while.
