It would not be an accident, but a plan perhaps by his loving Step Mom if all the inconsistencies point to a cover-up. How to conceive a plan to harm a child after a proud moment at the Science Project is unfathomable if that's even a word. I don't want to believe anyone from his own family would harm Kyron. Having a hard time with this focus only on the Step Mom, and no one begging for Kyron to be returned.

When I was in school, they would have two different shows of every play we did. One show would be for the entire school and faculty, and usually took place during school hours, and then another would be at night for the parents.

Does anyone have any reason to believe this wasn't the case?

I am starting to slip all the way to the beginning when I thought that LE didn't have a clue and were beating the bushes, so to speak, to see what shakes out. At first, they did not seem to focus on her immediately, as the thorough search of the area by the school seems to have been directed more to a random perp leaving him nearby, or Kyron walking off. If they had felt she had taken him from the start, I don't think they would have thought she would leave him right there. Then maybe they got the cell info, if that is what sent them out to that island. But I don't think they have anything else other than theories and the fact that no one else remembers seeing Kyron after 8:45-ish or without her.

So maybe they are really trying to eliminate her but if they do, then what? That is almost scarier, as I don't think they have another direction in which to go.

If this were the case, I think that we would be aware of it by now, and, to the best of my knowledge, no one has mentioned that there was to be an evening performance at the school.

I got the impression that the talent show wasn't a "major production" but rather an opportunity for talented students to perform as part of an end-of-the-year celebration. The talent show probably included students from all grade levels who wanted to participate. jmo

BTW, I was trying to share some google earth maps of the area that I thought were pretty neat since I have never been to this area. The website apparently wasn't allowed. For those of you that know how to do the map thing you might want to check it out.

The site also says that weatherbug has cams in network for anyone w/ a premium account. They archive all of it's cam feeds. Does anyone know if weatherbug has any cams around the Skyline area that may have picked up video?

FWIW, I believe the science fair projects had already been set up prior to that day. The teachers usually do this because: A. They can grade them first. B. Not all parents can take off of work to bring said project to school that morning. This is also corroborated by the fact that SM and Kyron were not surrounded by multiple parents that morning of "setting up projects."

I'm not being disrespectful here, but I've known about cell phone pings ever since I got my first cell phone back in the late 80s. When someone calls into your cell phone, the system has to have a way to know which tower to route that call through. Otherwise, they'd have to broadcast every single call through every single tower in the US. Not feasible.

Frankly, I am surprised that anyone is surprised about cell phone pings. What do you think runs the battery down even if you make no calls at all? If you turn your cell phone all the way off or yank the battery, then call your cell phone number, the system either instantly or almost instantly routes your call either to voicemail or to an automated message saying something like "that phone is not reachable right now."

I'm honestly not trying to be disrespectful, I'm just surprised that there is any adult who doesn't know how cell phones work. I'm one of the least tech savvy people there is and I know! I tend to assume that if I know something tech-ish, everyone knows it.

But a lot of people do not know this. Not necessarily because they aren't tech-savvy, but because they simply haven't thought about it or read about it. They have a phone they can all people with and don't think about it much beyond that. To chastise people because they don't posess a bit of knowledge that you do is a little over the top. I personally found this post offensive and would hope it's not typical for how posters speak to each other here.

And it's all endless speculation anyway. No one here knows for sure what the info is on the cell phone, "pings" or otherwise. For all we know, there are other ways the cell phone may have tripped her up, IF that is what is being dealt with.

I interpret the behavior as BioM ;shock & sorrow at having your flesh & blood missing. BM's spouse LE: supportive but suspicious & comforting inspite of their hearts being torn out.
BioF: He probably has witnessed time at home with upheaval between a teenage boy, an energetic bright 7 year old & the addition of a beautiful red haired baby girl who also needs a lot of attention.
SM is torn between feelings of having been used....the constant caregiver. She has been caretaker to her own son who 's bio Dad did not pay any attention or child support. A 2nd marriage where she felt less than cherished,plus the burden of her child from the first marriage. The second marriage fails & SM & KH move in together to take care of Kyron. Finally they marry & produce a beautiful girl. NOW, TH is the center of the family with a loving husband & the perfect child. The rumbuctious teenager has to go. His adoptive father or his grand parents will take him.SM has her snazzy red mustang(proof her husband finds her HOT!! Together they have the ideal daughter & family. SM may resent the attention that Kyron needs & she is no longer the care giver. She has her own husband & the child of that union. Now what do we do with Kyron, the odd ball, misfit in the perfect family?. SM has spent so many years with him,she doesn't want people to think badly of her. She however, is resent ful of her time, now that she has the perfect status, life, image. Why can't BioM take Kyron & care for him. ?? BUT! BioF loves his son, loves interacting with him. He also adores his daughter & his wife. He doesn't want anything to change.
SM wants a different life, bodybuilding, socializing,$$ to spend on her daughter & herself. Time for the perfect family ,she is after all 40 years old. If not now, when?

That's what I thought as well, since there was a definite shift from LE saying someone say Kyron around 9.00, to saying the SM was the last person to see him.

If Terri found comfort in crocheting, or baking, or sewing, or gardening, I would have no problem with reporters showing her doing any of those things as her way of coping with Kyron being missing. I get that. Do what you normally do.
But going to they gym, right after hes reported missing no less, seems to me to be callous and NOT what a grieving parent or step parent would do. If you must exercises, jog for Pete's sake. Jog on down to Sauvie Island and see whats happening with the search effort for YOUR child. IT reminds me of the Anthonys, "we will just stay here and have our normal lives while the rest of you people hit the brush and ponds and search for our child". JMO.

But I can't say that one thing is okay for them to do and another is not simply because I may not partake in the gym. Although I know many people who do workout continuously and they all say it is a great stress reliever.

Gates told everyone that he did not want anyone searching for Kyron other than those certified and trained. This is to make sure if evidence was discovered/recovered it would be done by those who are experts in their field.

I don't fault them for abiding by the Sheriff's wishes. I am sure other citizens would have also like to contribute too but he made it clear he only wanted those certified to do so. That is to protect the integrity of the case in case something should be found.

For myself, having had 2 children pass away (I realize we don't know whether Kyron is still with us on earth or not ..I pray that he is, but I'm not feeling real positive, ya know?) the simple fact that she was physically and mentally able or capable to carry on 'as ususal' that early on and then post on FB about it bothers the h@ll out of me! I know people react differently, but that strikes me as extremely odd and whether I am right or wrong to feel that way..I do.

First, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Second, I agree with you 100%. As some else said (and I'm sorry, I can't remember which poster I"m quoting, I've seen so many posts these last two weeks): it's not so much that she was trying to carry on, but that she was Facebooking about it. Sorry, but did she not think that others would think it was odd? It seems like a move that shows she either doesn't know or doesn't care how she might be perceived under the circumstances.

My sis has a hubby who works for Micron, out west. Sounds impressive but he makes $12 an hour and has been there several years. No idea what he does, Hes not the brightest bulb in the box, my sis runs a bakery in an Albertsons grocery store and is a cake decorator and is the bread winner of the family.
I assumed Kaine had high position cos not all families are in the position to give a brand new mustang as a mothers day gift. Plus, she does not have to work outside the home for a second income, so I "assumed" they were doing pretty good financially.

All it means is that he has good enough credit to buy a new car and make the payments.
