I've asked that same question more than once. Patsy had portofolios of photos of JonBenet. She had professional photographers that spent hours with JonBenet during the day taking pictures of her in different outfits.

So why would she keep her child up late on Christmas night for some basement photo session (the basement, ew, what about their "picturesque" living room? As IF Patsy would want basement photos) when they have to be up really early to travel the next day? Why would she allow someone who wants to photograph her daughter come over at midnight and keep her up? Why would she need to keep it a secret from John when she was free to take JonBenet to any photo studio during the week?

She wouldn't, and only someone who was desperate to excuse her would come up with such a weird, unlikely scenario.

Agreed. Pretty neat trick for that many peeps (in the proposed theory) to parade around the house/basement without leaving a trace.

While I don't agree with the proposed theory (pedophile ring), why is it mostly considered to be impossible, or considered such a 'neat trick', to not leave a trace, when there are so many movies that promote not leaving a trace? I mean, if you're going to do crime, especially a capital crime, you're going to take steps to not leave traces, right?

This isn't the movies, this is real. The killer would have had to spent a LOT of time in the house, and to move from room to room.

I think there was Santa, CW, CG and GM there that night, maybe one or two more hangers on. It now seems unlikely that Karr was there that night, although he apparently knows details about the case that have never been made public. My guess is that being a pedophile himself, he has learnt these details via the pedophile grapevine. I think that when he was arrested on those other charges in Thailand, his emotional state was such that he confessed to a crime that he did not commit but was totally obsessed with.

With all due respect I don't buy the pedophile ring story. If there was a pedophile ring why in the world would they pick Christmas? Not a chance. Maybe another day, but not that day. To many people to answer to at home for one.

One of the things that has always made me feel it was an "insider" was the date. The time of year. Freezing cold. Snow to make tracks in.

I still don't get how JonBenet is tied with her hands above her but no marks are made on her wrists when she's zapped with the stun gun.

But they did leave things behind. Unknown boot prints. Unknown DNA. Possibly a hair. Duct tape, source unknown. And a note.

It's also hard for me to believe that Patsy had her mind straight enough to write an organized note (ie We have your daughter, this is what we want, this is what you do) yet leaves the practice copy. But at the same time gets the rest of the roll of duct tape out of the house.

I think Patsy was awake and let Santa in and then fell asleep in the living room waiting for Santa's friend the photographer to arrive. I think at least three others crept in down to the basement after she fell asleep. I can't remember any of your previous posts wenchie and whether if I should be taking your question seriously or not. Just in case I've given you a reply.

If a photographer was expected to arrive, wouldn't JBR's clothes and hair be more presentable?
