Those fires which are suspected to be arson. Can the suspects be charged with murder if people died in the fires?

When I heard Bush was going to SD today, the first thought that came to mind was "I bet the disaster efforts stop just like in every other one he's visited". And sure enough it did! Amazing, he's gotten slammed for it every time and he keeps shutting things down.
I just find this unbelievable! I'm sure Bush isn't the first president to value a photo op over real recovery, but why doesn't he know better? Why doesn't somebody tell him?

I'm not defending Bush but would say this if it were any sitting President. They are damned if they do,damned if they don't. If you recall,he did not go to New Orleans for precisely the reason you are citing, getting in the way taking time away from rescue and recovery, and he was blasted for that.
Any President is in a lose/lose situation in this case. If people like them then they did the right thing,if people don't like them, they are in the wrong.
Frankly I think its more hassle than its worth, but for everyone with my opinion,I'm sure there are those out there who feel he needed to be there.

FEMA is there and will help out with clean/sanitize expenses as well as possible reimbursement for hotels/lodging costs during evactuations...if you have ash or heavy smoke in you house or embedded in your clothing/furnishings..call the FEMA Hotline or register thru their website (www.fema.gov) and apply for assistance. People don't realize that there is help for all residents affected, not only the unforturnate who may have lost everything.
It's worth a toll-free call to FEMA and a few minutes of your time!

I think before 911, the air traffic surrounding a presidents visit wasn't an issue. Now it is and a visit shuts everything down. And I remember hearing in the past during prior presidencies that they wouldn't appear at certain events because it would be too disruptive. Can you imagine a wall of fire moving towards your home and hearing the planes are grounded because of Bush's visit?
