Am guessing he was to have given it to the driver discreetly and then the driver would have put in the front of the car as planned. SD said to the driver that SD had put it in he back of the front seat in the passenger area... (not as per original plan). He had opportunity for example when he took them to the restaurant or when he picked them up from the hotel.

But Tongo should have insisted on it first. How did he or they know that Dewani was going to pay anything? Very naive.

Tongo says police station was a long distance from barracks. Five to eight minutes estimated travelling time. #sabcnews #DewaniTrial

Who were these women? What were they "busy" about at that time of night?

Leigh-Anne Jansen ‏@LA_JANSEN 2m2 minutes ago

Tongo: She wanted to know if I know those people. I said no, I don't. She wanted to know where the incident took place.

Tongo: I told her. She wanted to know whether I knew the names of the tourists. I had forgotten the names by then.

Tongo: But I said, I know where they are staying.

I'm glad you're asking because I was stumped too. Since the break, what is being tweeted doesn't make sense to me.

Tongo: I explained to him the same thing I explained to the female.

Tongo: I don't remember the names of the detective and female officer.

Tongo: The detective said we should go. He was in the company of another colleague.
