Were these cards used by Shrien to bribe them but without money they were useless anyway but what was the point??? IMO it shows he was guilty.

I think you are being kind -- I keep thinking he was stoned or something.(highly agitated from guilt)....who the heck does that? MOO

Mbolombo could get himself into a lot of trouble if he is doesn't testify honestly and satisfactorily.

Its all a bit confusing now, will see how far the indemnity extends when the Judge returns.

(I wonder if Mondo will change his mind about testifying?)

Judge says MM to be granted immunity in this trial if he tells the truth? How does anyone know what the truth is????

This is tricky, he could incriminate himself.

I think it means they'll let him off if he swings the case by proving SD's guilt, or innocence beyond a reasonable doubt.:D

Judge: I'm not satisfied that the indemnity granted by Judge Henney applied to this trial, I will ask counsel to address me...

Judge: Mr Mhlombo have you read through the charge sheet?

Mhlombo: yes.

Judge: I will ask counsel to address me on this aspect at a later stage.

Mbolombo says he understands.

(This is interesting)

PrimeSuspect:
Lutchman: he didn't give reasons for wanting to go shopping. He did view the body after the post mortem. (this was actually Dewani going to meet Tongo at the Waterfront bridge, Tongo didn't turn up after 2 hours SD waited, Tongo couldn't get transport, that's why Tongo called to change venue to meet.)

This shows the real deceit of the man, to do that in those circumstances, and not tell anyone present has to be unbelievable.

This reveals where Shrien Dewani's priorities lay!

MM: evidence I did not give was to disclose my involvement.

(State) Riley: when police approached you to be a witness, did they explain this is terms of Section 204?

MM: they explained fully, I understood.

Riley: Did you tell the truth in that statement?

MM: Even then I did not speak the truth about my involvement

Riley: in Mngeni trial you were indemnified on conspiracy to commit murder and illegal possession of ammunition?

MM: correct. I was truthful, but not all evidence regarding my involvement. Also lied when testifying

Riley: how did your statement of September this year come about?

MM: I ran out of ideas that there is no more hiding. I have to be open and honest. Volunteered to make statement.

Judge: you said had Mr Dewani told you there was a lot of money in the car,you would have investigated this from a diff angle

Lutchman: if the driver knows there is money in the car, they have the car hijacked, seen it before.

Judge: so the same is true if they know there are wealthy customers.

Next witness, Monde Mbolombo, the middleman, who was granted immunity from prosecution.

Are these questions from the Judge showing any bias?

Yes I'm wondering about that. I highlight everything she says because she is so involved, I want to look it over when it comes to her verdict, unfortunately we don't have video footage to scan over like in OP trial.

I am thinking there were material facts missing that changed it from carjacking and missing woman to
carjacking robbery and missing woman moo===changed motivation jmho
