"This now makes two straight weeks of more than 1,000 daily cases, and 20 of the last 21 days. The only exception was on November 15, where there were just under 1,000, with 988 reported.

The number of hospitalizations also continued to climb. There were 980 people in hospitals with the coronavirus, up over a 100 from over a week ago. The number of patients in ICU, however, dipped slightly back to 201."

S.C. reports more than 1,700 new COVID-19 cases, percent-positive rate above 23%
DHEC "reported more than 1,754 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases Thursday, over 100 more than the total reported Wednesday.

It marked the 16th straight report in which the daily new case count exceeded 1,000 and a second day with percent-positive rate above 20%."

S.C. reports nearly 2,500 new COVID-19 cases, highest single-day total to date
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported a total of 2,470 newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19 Friday, the highest single-day total reported in the state since the pandemic began in mid-March.

According to a statement released by DHEC, Friday’s report of cases was the highest number of daily cases than at any time throughout the pandemic. DHEC along with the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and the South Carolina Hospital Association said that they were compelled to address the seriousness of the state’s circumstances and the actions the public can take to change course.

“It’s clear that our state and nation are at a pivotal point in this pandemic,” DHEC officials said Friday afternoon. “We’re at a pivotal point in this pandemic. Together, we can take actions to change our course.”

SC reports record-high daily COVID-19 case count as percent positive soars
As of Friday morning, DHEC says 78.59% of inpatient beds in South Carolina are in use while 78.39% of ICU beds are in use.

There are 1,047 hospitalized patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are under investigation for having the virus, DHEC said. Of those, 233 COVID-19 patients are in the ICU.

DHEC is reporting 1,931 ventilators available in the state with 526 of them in use. COVID-19 patients account for 104 of those.

South Carolina sets record high for COVID-19 cases again | wltx.com

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina has set another all-time record for daily coronavirus cases, topping 2,700 for the first time ever.

The state's health agency, DHEC, released numbers Saturday that show there were 2,715 new cases. That's up from the 2,499 seen a day earlier, which itself was a massive spike an an all-time record since the coronavirus began.

SC reports 2,139 new cases of COVID-19, 26 additional deaths Wednesday
"COVID HOSPITALIZATION: As of Wednesday morning, DHEC says 81.18% of inpatient beds in South Carolina are in use while 79.35% of ICU beds are in use.

There are 1,217 hospitalized patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are under investigation for having the virus, DHEC said. Of those, 275 COVID-19 patients are in the ICU.

DHEC is reporting 1,930 ventilators available in the state with 542 of them in use. COVID-19 patients account for 128 of those."

"As of Tuesday morning, DHEC says 80.26% of inpatient beds in South Carolina are in use while 78.89% of ICU beds are in use.

There are 1,046 hospitalized patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are under investigation for having the virus, DHEC said. Of those, 261 COVID-19 patients are in the ICU.

DHEC is reporting 1,929 ventilators available in the state with 521 of them in use. COVID-19 patients account for 111 of those."
