Been lurking a few days so I figured it was time to contribute something. I've wondered the same thing (if somebody phone camera snapped anything from that last day) which is why that picture jumped out at me so quick when I saw it.

In unrelated news the Expel the girls group on Facebook appears to be missing. Temporary Facebook hiccup or did it get deleted? It was getting overrun with trolls so getting deleted may not be a bad thing.

Thanks. And thanks for contributing, I hope all our lurkers sign up. There was talk on that page, as you've seen, about deleting it. Some photos were obscene. I am baffled by people that would feel such a need to post such gore and insults on a child's memorial page, as well...no life? Such hate.

Welcome, Laurence. So glad you joined us!

I was so glad to see that you asked her who it was. I'm dying to know... if it is Phoebe, it'll break our hearts, but it'll also be some pretty heavy evidence, won't it?

:Justice:

Thanks. :)

If they respond that is Phoebe (last day or not) I think the next question for Síocháin Loscann is whether or not the police have a copy and statement from them.

Odd, isn't it? This response was posted in answer to what is it?
Síocháin Loscann
Its an image taken by a person who will live the rest of their life with regret that all that they did was take a picture with their camera phone. Regret that grows everytime a new picture of Phoebe appears.

Regret that might prove unendurable and if so they feel like thats just fine....the way it should be.

I'm glad someone else asked specifically if it was Phoebe. I don't think it is, but it would be good to clear it up.

ETA: Here is the pic:

Do any of the accused have long blonde hair...like the girl leaning over the person on the ground?

Also, aren't there three younger students charged who are unnamed...and unseen?

I wanted to ask but someone already beat me to it if that is Phoebe in that photo. This story hits home for me a lot because I too was the new girl in my school but not in HS. It was when I was in 7th grade. The popular boy had a crush on me and I was a pretty girl. I was bullied too by the "popular" girls from 7th-11th grade. Mostly in just 7th and 8th grade. IT was rough. I went through similiar stuff such as things thrown at me and names called. Thank goodness we didn't have FB back then. I guess our FB were pictures and nasty stuff written and drawn on bathroom walls about me.

I'm so sad by all of this. This whole thing makes me cry a little each day. What a sad world.

This entry from Phoebe's online funeral guestbook...
January 22, 2010
I was blessed to meet Pheobe, spend some time with her, and feel the warmth of her glowing spirit. She told me her plan was to become a high court atty..fighting for justice..how ironic. I am truly sorry for your loss.I will extend her spirit by teaching children to be kinder and more compassionate to one another every opportunity I have.

and this one...

My name is Eric Loubriel and I am a current Senior at SHHS... Having met Phoebe on more than one occasion I could tell how great a person she really was. Her death came as a shock to my brother, S. L., who was taking her to the Cotillion two days after her untimely death. As angered as I may be I feel like her passing has opened many doors for many people. May she Rest in Peace and may her family find some peace and justice in her passing

Thanks for sharing Waddup.... I'm happy you made it through. People can be so vicious when propelled by jealousy. :(

It looks like Síocháin Loscann has posted on a couple of other threads over there since I asked directly if that was Phoebe or not. Maybe if some other people ask him/her as well they might be prompted enough to reply on the matter.

According to this article....the report of 9 students was incorrect...there are only a total of six charged. Who knows though, they could still have it wrong now?????

http://www.bostonherald.com/news/regional/view.bg?articleid=1245296&format=comments#CommentsArea

"Sean Mulveyhill, 17, of South Hadley: statutory rape, violation of civil rights with bodily injury, criminal harassment and disturbance of school assembly

Austin Renaud, 18, of Springfield: statutory rape

Kayla Marey, 17, of South Hadley: violation of civil rights with bodily injury, criminal harassment and disturbance of school assembly

Ashley Longe, 16, of South Hadley: violation of civil rights with bodily injury as a youthful offender

Flannery Mullins, 16, of South Hadley: violation of civil rights with bodily injury and stalking as a youthful offender

Sharon Belazquez, 16, of South Hadley: violation of civil rights with bodily injury and stalking as a youthful offender

Three juvenile females are charged with delinquency complaints, including violation of civil rights with bodily injury, criminal harassment and disturbance of school assembly. One of them is also charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
They list all offenses for the 6 yet mention 3 more with other charges. LOOKS like there's 9, to me....I'm confused, now...

I know I saw that too. I almost want to sign up on that page to ask but am afraid of the answer.

People do and I think because of it I've never been one to get in on that "new girl jealous" thing. Even in my current profession where we have new girls a lot. I always befriend them when all the other girls are going crazy mad with jealousy.

Several sources seemed to be implying that the three younger girls had ADDITIONAL charges as juveniles plus the one where they were charged as listed as "youthful offenders", so that they were then counted twice by many media sources. I have no real idea which interpretation is correct.

"Months before Prince's tragic January 14 suicide her aunt, Eileen Moore made a point of urging the official to look out for her vulnerable niece.

“She told him Phoebe had been bullied over there and was susceptible to bullying. Nowhere near to this degree,’ Darby O’Brien, the man who first contacted the media about the tragic case, told the Boston Herald.

“I don’t think anybody imagined anything like this would happen,” he added.

Superintendent of Schools Gus Sayer refused to address the alleged warning when it was broached to him on Saturday, saying, “I can’t verify that right now; it’s the weekend.' He then added, 'It is not appropriate for me to discuss anything from Phoebe’s personal file.”

But Luke Gelinas, a parent and frequent critic of South Hadley school administrators, told the press on Monday that Sayer confirmed the alleged warning from Prince’s aunt during a recent conversation.

It's understood that Prince’s family have hired an attorney. If the family files a civil suit against the school district, Moore's alleged August warning could greatly bolster a civil suit.
So, she told a male...Dan Smith, maybe?
"Meanwhile, three of the nine teens implicated in bullying Prince faced arraignment yesterday. Lawyers for Sean Mulveyhill, 17, Kayla Narey, 17, and Austin Renaud, 18, entered not guilty pleas on behalf of their clients.

Three more teens are to be arraigned today. The remaining three students are juveniles"
here's another media report from 20 mins ago saying there 9...hope they get it straight and make it clear, whatever it is.
