Because she was the friend that did a lot to raise awareness of the fact he was missing, so I was surprised she wasn't at the inquest as requested.

The messages and calls we heard about, also true. The movements of some of the main players that night, none of it comes a surprise.

I am confident, having read the coroners words so far, that Jay’s death was a tragic accident, but boy some of those witnesses are literally running scared.

Let’s see what comes up at the follow up inquest. Can’t wait to hear what they have to say.

Brad responded to the coroner to say he would be on a holiday booked before the inquest date was announced.

Lucy is claiming blissful ignorance about the attempted contact despite knowing she’s one of the main characters.

Brandon and the Masca boys are allegedly uncontactable, but hopefully will be found and forced to attend the next inquest.

Gotta hand it to Debbie, she’s not letting it rest despite admitting she thinks Jay died accidentally. She wants the back story, as most parents would.

Not wishing to victim blame, but all the initial suspicions last year seem to be as suspected. It seems that illegal activities were taking place at a rave by those that were friends of Jay. None of these people want to make any comment and tried very hard to avoid the media when Jay first went missing. Most of those that have watched the progress of the case know that the truth was being hidden from the very start. From the very start questions were asked about a stolen watch, especially when Jay's body was found. It is quite simple. If the watch was found on the body of Jay it would seem like an accidental death. If there was no watch, it raises the possibility that it was not an accidental death.

There was that video posted by the mountain guy on that night where suddenly all the dogs were barking in the village that night I thought that was weird ..,I mean I thought he was just wrecked walked the wrong way and fell but looking at this new evidence makes me think if a watch was stolen where is the guy it was stolen off and if he hasn't came forward why? Was there some revenge acted out ... Someone wearing a 12k watch could know some powerful people out there. ... And why did Mark first quote Jonny Vegas someone who likes Hennesy which points to the Canadian guy who also was flaunting a AP watch in the days that followed and then suddenly Jonny Vegas is another nickname for Rocky which doesn't make sense.... Very dodgy case indeed

I think quite a few things coming out that inquest seem odd like him saying on a message to his friend they have a tracker on me by message ... And the fact no watch was ever mentioned found and no watch owner has ever cam forth despite it being published at the time that a fight had taken place over the watch and him getting kicked out the club which was largely dismissed as conspiracy but now we have seen his messages him himself saying he did...

So many of us were pointing at all of these issues, right up to the tragic end. So many questions left unanswered. I'm generally not a conspiracy theorist but this whole thing smelled nasty and I've never changed my mind - just like many others here. I agree that it's probable that he died from an accidental fall. I don't believe that the reason he missed the bus and chose to walk - or ended up at the BnB at all - was 'accidental' or random. But I do believe that we'll probably never know - *because* it wasn't random and the only people who know that will never come forward. BUT... JMO

Surprised by this as none in Tenerife which is the main drug Island. The other Islands are not really party hot spots except Gran Canaria maybe

EXCLUSIVE: Jay Slater vanished in Tenerife last June only to be found dead a month later with severe head injuries at the bottom of a remote ravine on the Spanish party island.

Williams-Thomas adds: 'So, Qassim says in the recording that Jay left the rental on the morning and took with him Qassim's ketamine.

'If you wonder why we've not heard this before, his police statement of course made no mention of this.

Also speaking for the first time since last July is a woman Jay had been holidaying with, that friend Lucy Law who also didn't attend last month's inquest - only for her parents to later tell MailOnline the first they knew of a requirement to attend was when police had arrived at their house asking for her on the day on the inquest.

She describes how Jay told her he was 'on a mission', couldn't 'go back to the rental [where she and he were staying]' and he had 'taken two kitchen knives down his pants in case anything kicks off.'

The more I hear about Jay the less sympathy I have for him. He just seems like he was out for trouble that night.

Carrying knives also shows he had little respect for other people’s lives.
