This angers me greatly. Brodsky, Drew, Lisa Stebic's husband, and talking heads are going to jump all over this story to show how Stacy, Lisa and other women probably did run off. This woman purposely set up the scene to make it look like foul play or an accident was involved. IIRC, her car was found near the river, a door open and the car running. This after she made calls that men were following her. She took valuable resources from Stacy and Lisa's case. $250,000.00!!!

Throw the book at her!

Wudge, maybe you're not continuing your remarks (since I finally got fed up and didn't finish reading the thread), but I'm tired of reading them. Go somewhere else if you're going to continue to post the remarks you have. Seems you're looking for a legal colleague to debate with. Give it a rest with everything. You condescend other posters..and give this thread a bad vibe. I don't even want to read it anymore.

Y A W N! Oh, yes..what were we SUPPOSED to be discussing here?! Stacy, I believe.

Agreed, Seriously Searching. Let's get back to Stacy. (Btw, I'm sorry to have contributed to the OT remarks....I just feel like this is a great community and Wudge is spoiling this thread for everyone - most importantly Stacy.)

I don't agree that Wudge is spoiling this thread. The posts are designed to open our minds to other possibilities. And, again, as I continually post, everyone is entitiled to an opinion - even your opinion about Wudge.

Lets keep our opinions of other members off the boards. Discuss the post not the poster.

It seems like Ric Mims is the big spender tonight at the Fundraiser for Stacy! He purchased $250.00 worth of buttons ($5 each) and gave them out to the people who attended. Nice gesture, Ric!

Big Spender, good one SS.:)

I wonder what happened to the donation he reportedly was going to donate to finding Stacy after he paid his $480 cell phone bill with money he received for selling his story to NE?

I agree! This certainly came at a very bad time, taking valuable resources away from the search for Stacy Peterson and Lisa Stebic, and not only that, as you've stated, it gives DP, Craig Stebic, and Brodsky new leverage in their contention that woman do run off intentionly. That woman should be made to pay the cost of the police search efforts!

It's a shame I agree, however the resources came from Cook County not Will.
DesPlaines is just north of O'Hara air port runways by I90.

Incorrect.

Due consideration of the evidence presented at trial is not the legal standard for a juror to assess guilt. The legal standard for a juror to assess guilt is: after deliberation with the other jurors, a juror finds that proof beyond a reasonable doubt exists based on the evidence presented at trial meeting the evidentiary requirements (proof for each of the necessary elements) of the charge or charges against the defendant

In other words, a juror might believe, think, feel, suspect or even have an abiding conviction (prior to the mid 80's, this was usually said to be an abiding "moral" conviction) that the defendant committed a crime or crimes. However, a juror cannot render a guilty verdict unless upon close examination with the other jurors of the evidence presented at trial, a juror finds that the evidence meets the burden of proof for each of the necessary elements that must be proven to support rendering a guilty verdict against the defendant.

HTH

Wudge, I understand what you are saying here. Basically you mean that in order to convict a juror has to do that only on the evidence and not personal feelings, I will agree with you on that point since when someone's life hangs in the balance of a verdict they should be 100% sure so that no one else would become a victim.
But IMO when Stacy is found there will be more than enough evidence to convict DP beyond any doubt.

This was over at the family site. I don't know if it has anything to do with Stacy, but police in Chicago have been inside a brick house that's undergoing renovation. They've been there for a number of hours. They say there's a body or bodies buried in the basement. Police have been seen going into the building with shovels and pickaxes. There's a video at this link, as well as a brief article.

Just googled the addy, not far from I-55 ramp.
The drive from Bolingbrook that hour of the morning would take 35-40 minutes.

--->>>Hmmm, video mentioned perhaps two bodies. Course could be one older body and one more recent deceased. Time will tell us. Wonder IF IF they are digging up cement etc.?

Also wonder WHO owns the building?

That's what I was wondering too.........who owns that building? From what was stated, it sounds like the building is vacant while undergoing restoration. How did the police know to check out the basement of that building? They must have had a tip? I know this is far-fetched, but what if the building is owned by someone DP knows, or perhaps he knows the contractor who's doing the renovation?

It may not be related to Stacy at all, but I'm intrigued by this development.

--->>>I share your same thoughts, I can only hope that LE is intriqued enough to check it ALL out. IF the bodies are of a different racial heritage then those thoughts abpit Stacy can be put to rest.

I would think that ANY body that is discovered in the area near Bolingbrook will be looked at with a fine toothed comb.

Yes HOW did LE get this information about the contents of the building, hmmm.

Ignore you?! Never! I applaud your efforts! : )

As I understand it, it was a body from 2004. Now while we would love to connect this man to every single bad thing that ever happened within 100 miles...that is just not going to work. However, we do need to continue to connect the pieces of people who DP has had dealings with. There are many and they are all suspect, imo. We can't go on tangents that happen outside of his jurisdiction, if you ask me. Concentrate~

If the evidence would be sufficient to support whatever the charges or charges were, that would be fine by me. I am a strong advocate for proper and just verdicts based on valid and reliable evidence.
