There is a lot of publicity right now on the case, and that always has the potential to get a change of venue. However, the judge is also going to look at Drew's time on camera and the attorney's time on camera and balance that against the fact that the family has hinted, but not really made strong accusations against Drew P, and the LE has been very close mouthed and has not really come out against Drew P like they might have.


The attorney is trying to provoke Cass, to get her to go into a rant in the media, making accusations. That way when it comes to trial, he can use that to try to get a change of venue (like that will really help Drew P get an area who hasn't heard about Drew P's missing wife!) Also, if she starts ranting, it will damage her credibility and he can use the "she knows Stacy is on vacation, and she just doesn't like Drew and wants to make him pay" reasoning.

I hope like hell I get called to jury duty to one of these cases... :angel:

VAN SUSTEREN: All right. Now, here's the other thing that just came in. I just got an e-mail. Here's the e-mail content. "I am Tom Morphey's sister, and while watching your show right now, I'm going crazy listening to Mr. Brodsky say that Tom has had multiple suicide attempts. For the record, Tom has never attempted suicide ever before. He has had substance abuse problems. However, he has never attempted suicide before."
Now, assuming that that is the sister, that's the e-mail that just came in, listening to the lawyer. We're going to — we're going to follow up on this, as well, to make sure that we get all the information for you there.

According to my daugher, I've done that to her a couple of times. lol.

"My purse" has done that to people many times. Where something inside accidentally hits the TALK button and calls whomever my last call was. If I get their voice mail, it will just record for however long the time limit on the voicemail is. I believe it's between 3-5 minutes... I'll test my phone right now...

Ok guys, I just called my voice mail from work and began counting from the time the voice mail beeped at 9:58 a.m.

My voice mail stayed on and recorded background noises from the office for 4 minutes, from 9:58 a.m. until 10:02 a.m. It then says "you have reached the maximum time to record a message" and gives options to send or rerecord, etc.

My cell phone provider is Sprint PCS.

ETA: I wonder if this will appear on my bill as a completed incoming call for 4 minutes.....

I would deny my daughter's claims except for the fact that she had me listen to a voicemail I left of me ordering lunch at the deli one day. And the one time she did it to me she was out with her friends one night riding in her car. I though ooooh goodie I can spy on her. After a couple of minutes I hung up out of frustration because it was the most boring conversation ever! What movie to rent, what snacks to buy at Walmart...zzzzzzzzzzz.

My daughter did that one night when I allowed her to go out with friends for the first time in high school. She called to ask permission and didn't hang up. I, of course, listened. They were totally planning something different and not approved! I called back after I hung up and said that I changed my mind and wanted her home. <insert evil laugh>

Anyway, I can just see DrewP sitting in his car for 4 minutes faking this call.
