Star Jones Reynolds GONE!!!

  • #121
I am watching a rebroadcast of Larry king with Star. What is wrong with her voice? I swear she sounds like a 1-900 operator. Raspy, breathy. Weird. I think she's lost too much weight too.

She looks like the runt in a litter who isn't going to make it!

I only watched The View because of B Walters.
Star came across to me as thinking she's better then the others...
Further more never did consider her a star....

Wonder how many seasons Rosie was signed up for....

She was trying soooooooooo hard to get LK on her side. But no way. He's been friends with BW a loooooooooooong time.

well, once the book goes on sale, we'll quickly find out just how many fans give a rats as* about star jones. her interview with LK made me puke...she went out of her way to be so calm and reserved ....wounded by baba wawa...cry me a river. she is one of the biggest "opportunists" out there. if i never see her again, it will be a good life!

Star on "Today" saying this will be her last time talking about this and apologized for her actions regarding her wedding saying she got caught up in the euphoria of it. She is asking for people to to give her time to wrap herself around everything that has happened.

Al asked her if she has talked to any of the women since she left. She said Elizabeth called her and she is really appreciative of that phone call.

I am not a fan of Starr Jones, Barbara Walters or The View. I saw Starr on The Today Show and, I thought that she did well. It seems to me that all she did on The View was to let her fans know that she would be leaving. Walters is the one that started slinging mud.

I agree! I am NO fan of SJR but IMO she handled her speech on the View very graciously. The table was not the forum for getting into the when, where, how, why stuff. Maybe she shouldn't have done the People article but for pete's sake, it's HER life, HER job, HER name that has been dragged through the mud for months and months. I think she had every right to tell her side. BW indeed started the mud-slinging with the "betrayed" comment and acting as if she were blind-sided. And if Star was given the option of telling what she wanted re: her departure, then why is all of this causing an uproar.

For once, I think Star is acting kind of classy. It may not be who/what she really is, but at least she's giving it a go. Refusing to criticize BW is smart on her part but I guess she can't win by trying to take the high-road, as much as possilbe in this situation.

I can't think of the name of it...but it they do work together well. I really enjoyed Max Bickford, and was sorry to see that show go.
Stakeout or Stakeout 2, maybe?

For anyone who cares a prerecorded "The View" is on. You can tell by Star's demeanor that it's taking everything to hold her back from erupting. Can't be but maybe a couple weeks old cuz they are promoting "the Devil Wears Prada", a new movie.

She really was! But he wasn't budging. You could tell he really cares about Barbara. He was very prepared last nite - the most I've ever seen. He even re questioned matters which she side stepped.

Well, I missed the interview by Al Roker on the Today show this morning. If anyone else did, as well, and is interested in watching .. the entire 15 minute segment will be re-broadcast on MSNBC at 12:33 pm (Eastern time) today.

CNN is rebroadcasting last night's interview with Jones-Reynolds right now. I imagine it will most likely be on again on one of LKL's weekend shows.

She talked about her weight loss phenomenon last night and pretty much said she had admitted to everyone all along that it was surgery because she called it "medical intervention". But the truth is, she has implied from the very beginning that it was something else and NEVER one time has come close to admitting it was surgery. The woman is a delusional diva, and I hope this week is her swan dive into oblivion. If I never again have to see her lips moving while saying absolutely nothing of substance, it will be a pleasure.

She is so full of baloney. I do not recall her ever mentioning she surgery of any type.

I'll be glad when all this hoopla is over...I am sick of seeing her mug on tv.

I think the movie was called "Stakeout" and then wasn't there a second movie called "Another Stakeout"?

Old Broad

I don't think I've seen them both, but that does sound like the movie. :)

herhaircut has nothing to do with anything unless u are taking a pot shot at her sexuality..which is not funny..there are a hell of alot of straight women with short hair..and plenty of gay women with long hair..there are more straight women with short hair than there are gay women with short hair by virtue of numbers..rosie has never been a fashion queen type though she was the homecoming queen during highschool..I just really get bugged with gay jokes..it doesnt matter if she is gay and out-she isnt making fun of straights..leave her and all gay people alone-the inuendo is totally inappropriate..there are gay readers here and your kind of comments and the others that I have read about rosie just tell the gay readers what the tone of this forum is..and I dont believe its this tone except for a few..dont send gay people the message your post does-they dont deserve it for one and its ignorance for 2.
This is a gay friendly forum-and its an all friendly forum..enuf about rosies hair and the dyke stuff u are implying-there are manystraight women who have balls and say things..and have ego's..its not a gay hting and rosie isnt gay first-she is who she is and she is also a gay woman who has done tremendous good in the world.

OMG...I was out of town for a day so didn't get to stick up for my post earlier.

First of all, I am sorry there was some uber-sensitivity to my post. No harm intended....how in the world you took my post to be gay-bashing I will never know! I talked about HAIR! The hair thing was in a contract for heavens sake, and was well reported! Geesh...

Secondly, if you have any interest at all, I am sporting a doo that is about an inch and a half long all over my head. And I am hetro, happily married and about as ballsey as you can get when it is important. As this is as you are implying that I am prejudice by my remark. Bad on you for assuming.

If you would like to know about the people in my life that I love that have alternative lifestyles then you may PM me. I will then fill you in on the real reason I dislike Rosie...and it IS a stereotype about being a pushy New Yorker! Which before you slam me on that, please note I am married to one

Newtv I believe the poster was referring to the fact that ABC put a clause in the contract with Roise about her hairstyle and not taking a shot at gay people but the clause in the contract.

Rosie’s Contract: She Can’t Cut Her Hair

Rosie O’Donnell’s new mega contract with ABC has one absolute proviso: the former talk show queen cannot cut her hair.

You may recall there was an uproar toward the end of Rosie’s run as a syndicated talk show host because she chopped off her locks to emulate Culture Club songstress Helen Terry.

Thanks mic...the hair contract WAS the basis...that and the pics they keep showing of Barbara Walters and Rosie at the Emmy's, where BW is so tiny to Rosie.

Hi Lynie :)

Hey, you have no need to defend yourself on this thread. We all (well, most all!) knew exactly what you meant and that you were not "gay bashing".

Quite honestly, I was astounded to read the tirade from the one poster that responded negatively and hoped she would delete her comments after giving it some additional thought. I did consider responding to that post - but, realized the ridiculousness of the attack and decided it was better to just let it drop.

Many of us also find Rosie's pushy over-the-top in-your-face attitude & distasteful behavior of the last few years very unbecoming - to say the least. It has absolutely nothing to do with her "haircut" or choice to live an open & very public alternative gay lifestyle. It's her personna & often obnoxious behavior that grates on the nerves.

Just wanted you to know that you had support here on the thread - and that the attack on you was unwarranted. I sincerely hope an apology to you will be forthcoming.
