Didn't she get into a big row with someone on Court TV over race issues in one of the high profile cases? I didn't see it but I have heard it referenced a few times. Always wondered what happened.

Yes - Star Jones was/is one of O.J. Simpson's biggest and mouthiest supporters. She has appeared on CTV as a guest legal pundit and was also a legal correspondent for Inside Edition back when O.J. was on trial.

IMO -she was an unattractive obnoxious irritating witch back then too. And yes - she'll be the first one to play a race card and subsequently blame the fallout on everyone else. Honestly - I cannot tolerate that pretentious 'all about me' diva. I never understood how she acquired then kept her seat on the 'View' all these years.

I noticed in the promo for tonight's LKL program that aired yesterday - both Star & Larry were seated in his studio. Star was wearing a pretty & feminine aqua blue colored top and Larry was wearing a green shirt. I also heard in that promo that Star would be taking calls.

Now - If the two of them are wearing those same clothes in tonight's broadcast that they wore in yesterday's promo - then I believe the show was taped - pre-recorded on Tues or yesterday. That would also mean that the viewer calls taken during the show would not be from tonight's supposedly "Live" initial airing.

On the other hand - perhaps, Star went into the CNN studio to meet with Larry on Tues or Wed and sat for the promo piece only .. ? Don't know - guess I'll have to wait & see what they're wearing tonight to know.

Am I making any sense here?

LKL - Thursday, June 29th - 9 PM - Midnight - 3 AM EDT

The only thing I can add here is that I heard him say that she would be interviewed in their LA studio. I was wondering how that came about.

Maybe Star will get lucky and make some guest appearances on Martha Stewart's show. Now that would be a match made in Heaven!

I think with 60 minutes to talk on LKL tonight, Star should be able to find several new and more exciting ways to alienate herself from the powers that be than she has in the last 2+ days. Anyone that sees the show, please report back so we'll know how she's doing on slinging the hatchet around.

Is she sucking up to Larry or What?

Larry: Are you hurt?
Star: Oh, Larry, you ask the hardest questions!

Larry has never asked a hard question in his life. And he darned sure doesn't do any homework before a guest comes on. Larry all but makes me ill. Maybe Star and Larry should team up together.

She seems to be holding her own, but I'm not paying really close attention. I've only seen her take one call, from a male fan. She did say she'd like her spot filled with a professional person of diversity, not an actress or journalist, doesn't have to be African-American, but that would be nice. She did mention that she will start a new TV program. Hubby (Star's, not mine) said "Baby, put on a stiff upper lip, you are gonna shine!"

That's a wrap..no fireworks, only one phone call?? Says she won't need her law degree just yet. FWIW, I think she's lost too much weight!

Sorry, I wasn't able to transcribe - it was so much. ABC faxed in their position and Larry kept putting those points to Star.

I thought Star was very phony - big cheesy smile. Very slick.

She couldn't answer the question - Why didn't you start looking for a job in April? She danced around that one.

I actually thought Larry was pretty good tonite. He is very good friends with Barbara and it showed through his questioning.

One of the ABC tops said that his only regret about this whole thing is that they should have fired Star last November when her ratings were down. She said she was surprised to hear that because this was the guy who invited her to sit at his table at the Emmys in the Spring.

She also had evasive answers to questions about her wedding freebies. She mentioned that 5 of the 10 highest-rated shows of (whatever-her-wedding-year-was) were shows about her wedding. Spin, maybe?

Spin absolutely. She's a pro at that. I liked when Larry asked her if she thought Barbara would lie and she fumbled a bit and said the story was "concocted".

One of my favorite movies is one that starred Rosie and Richard Dreyfeus as undercover cops. Don't remember the name of it, but I thought they made an excellent comedy team.

I can't think of the name of it...but it they do work together well. I really enjoyed Max Bickford, and was sorry to see that show go.

Well, for what it's worth - it was just announced on NBC - a brand new promo for Ms Star - an exclusive interview with Al Roker on the TODAY Show. This one should be a cake-walk for her.

It figures .. she's doing the media circuit to get "her side of the story" out there .. all the while claiming her virtuous honesty & integrity. I need a barf bag ...

Tomorrow morning - Friday, June 30th
NBC Today Show - 7-9 am

Too bad she didn't call in...but you're right, BW has too much class. Keep on yapping, Star...then no one will touch you with a ten foot pole!

I agree, it was a good show. Larry asked a lot of pointed questions. I do wonder about the surgery for the weight loss. I haven't watched the view much, but I came away feeling she kept that information for her book and kept it off the show? She seemed to be stumbling around on that subject to me. Now when a news blurb appeared about her contract in Nov. and she asked Bill about it, she, I guess, was reassured there were no problems? That was unfair in my eyes, if true. She is insistent she did not know until April 21st. She did admit the wedding freebies were a mistake. But why couldn't photos of her wedding appear on the view if she hadn't sold them? She says the photographer arranged for those photos to appear in People, was it? Too many questions still. She didn't look good to me, had on a beige suit, too much beige, she needed color. It was the kind of show I might have to watch again to be able to relay to anyone. It is worth watching if the subject interests you. If ABC told her she could say whatever she wanted, and she chose to tell the truth, the only problem I see is the story in People hitting their website that same day. That was underhanded?? The show leaves a lot of unanswered questions as to who is telling the truth, although the network stated their positions as relayed by Larry, also Barbara's feelings.

I think the movie was called "Stakeout" and then wasn't there a second movie called "Another Stakeout"?

Yes, she did the interview with People PRIOR to saying on Tuesday's show that she was leaving. So the story was going to hit the stands in this week's People Magazine, and that was by Star's own design.

It's interesting that Star talked about "loyalty" on LKL tonight but in one of the interviews I saw on TV today, one of the first hosts of the View to leave (sorry, I forget her name... might have been Debbie and I think her last name was Greek... she was blonde headed), she talked about how close her and Star were and how they even vacationed together, etc. But when she got fired from the View, she said she never heard from Star again. So it doesn't sound like Star needs to be on her pulpit re loyalty, IMO.
