This is such total BS. A bad hair cut is a bad haircut regardless of ones sexuality. Rosie played out her internal struggle on National TV and became so angry at the phoney Rosie she had sold out to she became the anti Rosie.
For years she had sold herself as someone that she wasnt. She perpetuated that persona on America and people across America bought into what she was selling. She was a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 when she came out. She was angry and IMO directed alot of that outwards. Her haircut was ugly and her attitude was ugly.
I totally accept Rosie as a lesbian, but i dont accept her as a phoney or a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. That personality trait sucks regardless of ones sexuality.

EXACTLY.....!!!!!!! She is pissed because SHE made a bad personal choice to compromise her integrity and she is left with the bag of shame...........She is crude, crass, ugly (inside and out) and completely talentless...........I hope the show fails and it's Rosie's fault.........hahaha........Just kidding! But I hope that the public shows their contempt for the NEW-old Rosie by boycotting this lousy show.

Again- Gay or not-she's an azzhole and bitter. Her girlfriend really got herself a winner.

I think I'll write the show and 'express' myself they way Rosie does on National TV......;)

Intersting perspective.
I do not know anything and I mean NOTHING about Rosie except what you are all telling me.
What is her appeal then? I mean why is she famous? Do others like her? or is she someone we "love to hate"?
She seems to have struck a nerve with you and others and i am trying to 'get it"

Jelly, she was discovered on Star Search many years ago - now are you gonna ask me what Star Search was?:D She went on to do stand up and then a few movies - She did the one with Madonna - what was it called? A league of it's Own or something. She was funny and got her own talk show.

I agree with SQV about the gushing over Tom Cruise but it's my take that she gushed over any big name. I especially remember her going on and on about Barbra Streisand - she actually made a fool out of herself, imo. Babs did finally go on her show and it was pathetic. She may as well have got down on her knees and given the hail Marys. Maybe she did - can't remember! :D

Okay..but why is she famous? What is her appeal? I really am 100% ignorant.
Is she like Tom Cruise where many of us just think he is a waste , but others think he is a hunk?
I said before I had to google Star Reynolds or whatever her name is ,so i know even less about her!
I mean Rosie sounds horrible according to most on this thread, so what is that people DO like about her? Why would she be chosen for this show? Was she chosen for her controversial attitude?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Dang- forgive my typos......I was on rant  . Rosie is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. As someone else said- her NY pushy, bulldozer way of approaching people makes me sick. She is over the top aggressive and before someone says I have an issue with NY'ers - WRONG..........I love their openess and straight forwardness, to a point. I like a person who stands by their belief, even if that belief may mean losing something that matters.......A high paying job, for instance.
Rosie played a roll and compromised herself for it..........Tell me how that is different then her poking at o'l Star for not coming clean on her surgery choice? Star- as gross as she is- didn't owe the public an explanation anymore than Rosie did.........Rosie hid her choice or lifestyle for profit.......so did Star.......Rosie has criticized Star over and over in the public in an attempt to shame her when Rosie is the one who should be completely ashamed........She should have told her own network to shove it if they didn't like her lifestyle- yet instead, she agreed to hide it for the sake of cash.........AND, she lied......over and over again when she was caught with women.......Again, who gives a crap if she likes women- she just should have said she did and take her knocks just like she told Star to do...
heck! I cannot follow any of this! I have to some homework. She must be a really awful person to evoke such response from everyone!
Thanks for the info.

I think Rosie portrayed this girl next door persona. She got locked into this "personality" and over the years began to hate who and what she represented and the lie she was living infront of the camera. When she "officially" came out she became the anti-Rosie determined to wipe out that person she despised but that the audience loved. She was very "in your face" about it.
Everyone knew for years that Rosie was gay but they didnt know that she was a mean spirited 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and IMO that is what alienated her from her audience.

I don't watch the show..The few times I have, it was soooo boring. Now if the hostesses were: Ellen De - ?, Joan Rivers, Rosie, Phyllis Diller, and what's that woman who was married to a Tom somebody? Roseann? --I still wouldnt watch it.

I dont think she is an awful person. I have actually met her a few times back in the late 90's when I was heavily involved with lobbying for safe and sane gun laws and she was the keynote speaker at several events. I think she got caught up living a dual life of her own making and became miserable and hateful in the process.

I agree Tybee, she got literally too big for her britches. Plus her attitude sucked.

The wedding freebies was over the top. IMO

LOL! Most miserable and hateful people I know are awful:D
I am just marveling at how strongly people feel about her. Right up there with Tom Cruise (oh I have heard of him:angel: )

I agree with your whole post. She is a crude woman too. She reminds me of an overweight Adrienne Curry, the chick on My Fair Brady, she has the foulest mouth in the world.

Oh yeah- what's up with that chickie...??? I never understood her appeal either. She burps, farts and cusses like a sailor yet because she's skinny and willing to take her clothes off, the camera loves her. But I am also in the dark about many of these 'celebs' appeal......Paris Hilton? Britney Spears? Nicole Richey? ect. The list is so long that'd I be here all day.

I still cannot figure out why Babs hired Rosie O'Donnell for The View. :waitasec: :waitasec: She seems to be almost as unpopular as Star. Rosie reminds me of a washer woman. I think the show is going to implode in the near future.

I think Tybee has answered your questions here. She was a comedian and a people pleaser, imo. She was funny and sweet. I actually stopped watching her daytime show because of how she sucked up to her guests.

After she came out - like others say she was "obnoxious", "bitter" "and in your face". Her true colors were not pretty.

Compare her to Ellen. Look at the difference with the way Ellen has handled everything and she took an absolute beating! I have the greatest respect for Ellen and just love her!

here's a little bit about Ellen. It's been said that Anne Heche only used Ellen to further her own career. After Ellen she went on to marry a man and have a baby.

Scroll down to Ellen.

"Star Jones In Roof Garden Flap"

Landscaper sues "The View" star over wilted quid pro quo deal

DECEMBER 14 --
Star Jones stiffed a New York City company that helped "beautify" her penthouse garden in advance of an Architectural Digest photo shoot last year, according to a lawsuit filed against the freebie-loving star of ABC's "The View."

In the below Civil Court lawsuit, Dimitri Nurseries claims that Jones signed an agreement guaranteeing that the firm, in lieu of payment, would get a credit in AD (Agricultural Digest) for its work.

When that citation didn't appear, the Manhattan firm demanded that Jones make good on a $7189.20 bill for geranium arrangements, potting soil, moss, mulch, dogwood, ficus plants, and other items.

Jones, 42, didn't want to pay up, and instead offered earlier this year to give the firm 'a plaque with her picture' that could be hung in its East Harlem headquarters.

Dimitrios Gatanas, the gardening center's owner, told TSG he declined Jones's unique settlement offer.

"What am I, a diner?" he asked.

In 2002, Gatanas's company built a garden on the roof above Jones's Upper East Side penthouse duplex, which the TV personality dubbed the "Girlfriends's Garden," since her pals helped foot the $30,000 bill.

For her part, Jones claims she's the aggrieved party, saying that the original garden construction was shoddy and has caused leaks that have damaged her condo.

She, of course, didn't air those claims until after the gardening company filed its court complaint in late September. (6 pages)

I agree. In that way, Star and Rosie are alike. Success went to their heads.

And Ellen is a real gem.

A quickie of sorts - as I am watching the Wimbledon matches and my guy, Andy Roddick, is losing big time ... (sob!)

MSNBC - a reporter from "In Touch" magazine (can't remember his name) said that Star Jones has been offered a position on one of the 3 major cable news channels. (CNN, MSNBC, FOX) He said that he didn't know whether or not Jones-Reynolds had accepted the offer or not. Also that he was 'not at liberty' to say which of the 3 networks made the offer. <Major GROAN!>

He also commented that he didn't think Star could handle 'a show of her own' as the single anchor and to succeed she would need to be part of a group, as she was on The View.

IMO - Star's political views are not in concert with FOX - so I can't really see her being offered a show on there. Somehow, I doubt that it's CNN. With Dan Abrams now at the helm as GM - MSNBC is seeking to make some changes & revamp their programming line-up.

As we know - Dan has left his anchor chair on his show, "The Abrams Report". Star is an attorney and has had previous experience as a legal correspondent on CTV, NBC (Today Show) and Inside Edition. So .. I am hoping - no, praying - that Dan hasn't made an offer to Star Jones to host a 'legal type program' on MSNBC in place of his current 'Abrams Report' program. <groan> Oh man - I hope not!!!

If anyone else hears anything further on this offer to Star - please jump in n' post.
