I am pretty sure that Brandy is not a sure thing. I think she is just part of the rotation until they find someone permanent.

Here's hoping!

Well, darn... I went to her website and nothing appeared but the word "success" in the upper left corner. Something must be wrong with it. Has anyone else tried in the last hour or so?
Still not working..... kind of ironic, isn't it? All it says is "success"?!

The ABC website sure removed her pictures fast.:D

Seems like the word "FIRED" would be more appropriate.

I just tried to. Do you think BW and ABC took legal action against her? Was she posting their personal email addresses, do you know?

I agree! I am NO fan of SJR but IMO she handled her speech on the View very graciously. The table was not the forum for getting into the when, where, how, why stuff. Maybe she shouldn't have done the People article but for pete's sake, it's HER life, HER job, HER name that has been dragged through the mud for months and months. I think she had every right to tell her side. BW indeed started the mud-slinging with the "betrayed" comment and acting as if she were blind-sided. And if Star was given the option of telling what she wanted re: her departure, then why is all of this causing an uproar.

For once, I think Star is acting kind of classy. It may not be who/what she really is, but at least she's giving it a go. Refusing to criticize BW is smart on her part but I guess she can't win by trying to take the high-road, as much as possilbe in this situation.

Hello! I also agree (and just found this board). I've gone through some 11 pages of this thread and I just don't get it. People seem to be using this opportunity to pile on the SJ criticism and take cheap shots, while I can't see how she did anything that's so bad.

So The View fired her. They wanted her to keep it under wraps, Star didn't feel the same. She said on The View that she wouldn't be returning, and somehow that got under control freak Barbara's skin, who apparently likes everyone else's lives to be scripted like her own. Star was diplomatic about it on the air; she didn't say she'd been canned.

I don't know why this bothers BW, why she feels "betrayed" or any of this other nonsense. So she didn't have complete control over how a single show went. She isn't God, :angel:and life goes on.

I've taken countless cheap shots at Star because I think she's handled herself over the years in any way BUT classy. She's flaunted every move she's ever made, whether it was weight loss, breast implants or her marriage. She's used people from one coast to the other to obtain freebies for anything her heart desires. She's promised countless people on-air name recognition from everything to decorating her own home to being part of her circus of a wedding... and when the name recognition didn't work for her, she refused to pay the bills. She's a user and a loser, and she's the most self-absorbed narcissistic creature I've observed in years. So yes, I'll continue to take cheap shots at her because every single time she opens her mouth, there's yet another golden opportunity for me to do it.

Oh no... that would mean less time in bed with Mr. Light in the Loafers since she'd no doubt have to be at work in the middle of the night. As unpleasant as she is during normal daylight hours, I can't even think about how snarly she could be that early in the morning.

Both of those thoughts are visuals I don't even want my mind to see! LOL:silenced:

I see... I wouldn't know if she's flaunted every move she's made, because I don't know every move she's made. But I have no doubt there's somebody behind every nook and cranny waiting for her to slip up. Like most celebrities, she probably can't go to the restroom without someone waiting inside with a camera.

I don't watch The View, not my cuppa, and I'm indifferent about all of them. But more than anything it looks like a simple case of BW getting upset because SR didn't dance to her music. And some of the comments here seem almost personal, which is frankly a little scary.

Thank you for trying to explain it to me. I did a google search on the phrase and found out its origin. It still makes no sense to me but at least I will know what the phrase references if I hear it again. Thank you.

The reruns a few days before (they reshowed it) You can hear little remarks made that now make more sense. (DUH) I think Stars website that leads to the ABC View address is stupid. I see a possible lawsuit. (Or an attempt) Not sure on what basis.

Mainly, Al Reynold's was rumored to be on the 'downlo' way before he married SJ. No matter what the situation is, it's none of our business, or does it effect our lives, so big deal :D

I agree- and some people are bi-sexual. If he is sleeping with Star now its possible he is BI..it is possible he is gay and cant face it so hides in a marriage, (many men do-and many women do), It doesnt mean they dont love who they are with..they just bite the bullet or have affairs.
it isnt an indicator of their worth to each other or a statement about star herself..Many women become attracted to gay men and wish the man would marry them.

From CBS - "As of Thursday evening the website was down, only displaying the word "sucess"".

"The View is lining up guest hosts for the next few weeks. The View isn't trying out for replacements this summer, that will be done after Rosie O'Donnell makes her debut on the show Sept 5.."

"That doesn't mean some of the women who appear this month won't be considered for the gig".
