Could they prove Jodi logged into Travis' computer if she destroyed her hard drive? I don't think so, but haven't checked to see if there are cases that have run up against that problem. Since it's not in that she did, I'd say most likely not from a damaged hard drive. gah...premeditated and obscenely corrupt/wicked/depraved, you name it, etc...

Yes, correct. If you do not secure your router, it is wide open and anyone can connect to your network.
One your on that network, your IP is neighbours IP.
I hope most people password protect their routers to prevent this stuff from happening. :seeya:

Maybe they could get you up on the witness stand because I have this question:

If they had Wi-fi, could someone have accessed their computer from outside the home and made it LOOK like they were actually logged onto the computer the detective did the forensics on?

I just read an article about a couple who was originally arrested for having ch. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on their computer and then through the investigation it was determined that a neighbor had in fact downloaded the photos via their wi-fi account.

This couple was then found innocent.

Thank you in advance.

BBM: Somehow I just find a Sarah Palin wannabe lookalike non threatening. :floorlaugh:

Too funny.

Someone posted on here earlier, it was either a Dateline or 48 Hours Mystery. Anyway, it was an older one, one I had seen already. I had no clue, when I watched it when it aired, who Juan Martinez was. I rewatched it tonight. Pitbull Juan... exactly the same as now. :

And JW pausing for like it seemed like an eternity. Really you don't have your questions prepared?

The geometry and the heart pumping comments were priceless. JW did not break him. Had it been the other way around, and Dr. McYummy was on the defense side, Juan WOULD have broke him.

I was trying to figure out why she was frozen. She looked crazy. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Just? It's criminal. Like Jodi.

What if Jodi wanted to donate her organs. Would you feel differently? (Just curious as I think the whole topic is kind of a moot point anyway)

I will sleuth for information on Jodi hard drive.

In the meantime, I still find it a strange coincidence that Dr. DeMarte house was broken into and her laptop stolen.

Emmi :seeya: I get the feeling you are an activist? It is a personal question and you don't have to answer.

Also, do you have a Philosophy background?

Just? It's criminal. Like Jodi.

I was :floorlaugh: the day she went up to the clerk's table to retieve papers to prove a witness was wrong and couldn't find what she was looking for, then went back and asked the witness again if he had testified to something else and again the witness said, I'd like to review my statement first. It's been a long week with very little sleep so I'm having trouble right now remembering who the witness was, but the look of panic on JW's face was priceless. :floorlaugh:

I was yelling @ the screen when she paused for so long
"You know where we are, right? You know why we are here, right?"

Which one was it? I haven't seen that one yet. tia

Organ harvesting -

I was totally failing to see the difference of opinion here until I realized that one poster is talking of organ harvesting AFTER someone is dead and the other is talking about organ harvesting BEFORE someone is dead.

I am at a loss as to how you can harvest someone's organs before they die because I would think that would kill them. I cannot understand why anyone, especially through a legal system would kill someone by harvesting organs? I think they would wait until the person was dead. BUT in this case where there is DP, taking organs would be impossible.

Nope. No organ harvesting before death. :twocents:

A lobotomy would be beneficial for criminal science though.

Curiosity killed the cat. :rollercoaster:

Here's what I say since we are playing, "What if..."

I say that if she wants to donate her organs and she's going to be dead anyway, maybe we should start looking at this type of thing as a viable alternative.

From a purely technical stand point, no argument could be made against it, in fact it would be an ideal setting.

what happens is that the emotions of the situation come into play.

As far as 'transferring evil' goes...usually with transplants, the recipient never knows who the donor was so ...I don't know about transference of evil.

When people tell me that they think that some place is haunted or tainted because a person died there I always ask them if they have ever been a patient in a hospital?

Did you know that the bed you are lying in could have EASILY just hours before held a dead body. That's the truth. People die in the hospital all the time and the beds and room get stripped down and washed and re-made and then especially in a busy hospital, someone is admitted and put in that bed.

Non the wiser.

It's a fact of life.

I'm just the messenger.

Of course I would feel differently. But the post wasn't about voluntary organ donation.

The topic is moot, thank goodness, because such sadistic punishment is unlawful and anathema to civilized societies. Nonetheless, that the idea is even entertained, and given verbal support, is disturbing and worthy of discussion.
