State rests rebuttal case- thread #166

I don't feel it's unnatural to go looking for your boyfriend through the house if you didn't share a room. Maybe she was restless and wanted to see if he wanted to talk. Maybe she'd been waiting up for him to sneak in and he hadn't, so she decided to go sneak in his bed. Chris and Skye weren't her friends, and the house may not have been familiar or comfortable to her. I think it's unfair to say she had to stay in her room the whole night.

She could have been hungry, wanted some food and noticed Travis wasn't in his room. I mean, who knows. I don't think she purposely set out to sneak and eavesdrop outside that bedroom the first time she went up there, but the second time, she probably sensed they were talking about her--and she was right, so....how comfortable would any of us be in that situation?

Again, not defending her on the murder. Not defending her on 90% of what she did, but Jodi's wrongs don't make other people's behavior beyond reproach.

I watched Sky on DD this evening. She said Jodi was over-the-top creepy with her possessiveness of Travis while staying with them. She wouldn't let him out of her sight for a minute. At one point, Travis had to use the restroom and Jodi freaked out because she couldn't find him immediately. When Sky told her he was in the bathroom, Jodi went and stood by the door until he came out.

I have to say, if I were a guest in someone else's home, and it was late at night and everyone had gone to bed including me, I would not get up and wander around, especially going upstairs to the host's bedroom to eavesdrop. I would just go to sleep and let them have their private conversation.

If we are to believe the 30 year old virgin fascade and the lifestyle I assume C&S lived, I could not see tham bunking them together in the same room I guess was my point. and if they weren't in the same room, JA would have no knowledge if Travis was still in conversation with them unless she went into Travis' room, or to snoop at C&S's door.

I agree it's not a big deal, other than it shows her intent and actions that night.

This is JODI we are talking about, you know, that brunette librarian wanna be that is court daily doodling in her doodle pad. She is beyond nosy. She was probably going through all their cabinets and drawers before lurking outside the door to eavesdrop.

I listened to C&S and they said Jodi was sleeping downstairs. How is that rude for others to be upstairs having a discussion?

I agree with Dewey, how did Jodi know that Travis was in the room with C&S? What is she doing listening in on private conversations. For all she knew, it might have been something private between only C&S. Yes, she did knock on the door and there's Jodi. THEN, she did it again later that same evening. I can understand her looking for Travis in the middle of the night but what gives her the right to be listening through a closed door of someone else's house?

I have a hard time understanding why C&S are rude. I've been with friends overnight and some would stay up late while some slept and we would talk till the wee hours. No one's feelings were hurt, no one was stalking outside doors. Knowing that Travis lived nowhere near C&S what a good opportunity to talk face to face about their feelings and give advice? Why do they have to only talk through emails or on the phone? Just because someone else wouldn't handle it that way, why does it make it rude and wrong for someone else?

Excuse me for bringing all this up again but I thought the C&S ship sailed a loooooong time ago on this thread but yet it keeps getting regurgitated up over and over with nothing new added.

I guess maybe because I was brought up to believe a man's home is his castle and private conversations are just that, private. I can't picture myself roaming about someone's home, whether they are my friends or my SO's friends and listening at the doors, it's just not in my make up. I don't even feel comfortable going in someone's fridge, and that included my parents' home and my best friend's home. :blushing:

I posted a few hours ago my opinon that JA probably did get a pamphlet at a mall to give to TA. Come to think of it, pedophilla is not mentioned in any of those. It is all about masterbation, 🤬🤬🤬🤬, adultry, pre-marital sex, modesty (no shoulders or knees showing) SSA (Same sex attraction- that means Gay) Shoot, there is nothing mentioned in any of the LDS recovery groups about pedophillia. The church does not address that, does it?!

JA didn't say the pamphlet was about pedophilia. She said it was on affordable mental health counseling.

I wouldn't be surprised if a friend had given her such a pamphlet before.

Thank you :) I listen to this at least once a day.....love the song and the pictures.

Glad I could help. There have been many touching tributes to Travis, some I have shared on my FB page, but I refuse to share any that have JA in them, or photos of him in the shower or after he was deceased. I even flip the channel on the tv if they start showing too many so called glamour shots of JA or talk about how (eeek) beautiful she is. It just turns my stomach.

BBM One would think that the C&S Hughes ship had sailed a long time ago. Like when they gave the 48 Hours interview. But SH was on TV last night and the night before that CH was on TV and he is Twittering. And CH will be on Blog Talk Radio Sunday night. (I am looking forward to that broadcast) So, they have not exactly sailed away from the public eye yet.

The Hugheses are talking now because they are no longer under subpoena. Dan Freeman also just talked to a paper. Expect to see other witnesses come forward in the near future.

Using your post as a jumping off point, is this the same night that Travis allegedly snuck into JA's room and forced himself on her? I think that was earlier, if anyone can clarify please. Secondly, I doubt C&S put them up in the same room, which is probably why Travis said he would be down later to say goodnight to her. If Travis and JA had seperate rooms, how did she know Travis was still talking to C&S when she went stalking at the doorway?

Chris said on DD that the discussion was in April 2007 iirc.

I hear you. I guess I might be leery of hearsay with no means to verify it, especially after all the hearsay in this trial.

If, God forbid, my best friend was killed in cold blood and then his character assasinated by the very person who slaughtered him / her, I would hope I had the strength and passion to set the record straight for the dearly departed as Chris & Skye have done.

April 2007 discussion was the last time ja stayed at the Hughes home, iirc ja mentioned during her testimony that the Hughes home was a meeting place for she and TA, since she lived in CA and he lived in AZ they met there several times.

She did return 1 last time approached Sky about why she hated her, or it might have been the next day dunno.

Ok my last post about the Hughes, I hope everyone that knew and cared about TA comes forward and straightens this mess out, so many damn lies have been told. IMO

Good night all.

Did someone say DONUTS? Hang tight everyone. Just a few more hours...

My family has been warned...do not bug me during the next few days. If they get a hot meal and their laundry done, they are incredibly lucky.

I plan on fasting with the Alexander family. Hoping and praying for justice.

BBM and a big HALLELUJAH!! To be quite frank, I've been afraid to post today because my opinion of Chris & Sky Hughes goes against the grain here & I don't want to be attacked/called out for a differing opinion. IMHO, there's a WORLD of difference between someone attacking the Hughes' and offering their opinion, unfortunately, that difference seems rather small (almost minute) on here today. It's a shame too because having different opinions is what makes WS special and I hate seeing people feeling like they have to tiptoe, including myself, for fear of backlash. You don't have to like the Hughes' to support JA being convicted and somehow I've seen it twisted here today that if you don't support the Hughes' you support JA in her quest to be acquitted (not saying EVERY post has alluded to that, but a few here & there have). Perhaps it was the long wait between trial days and everyone is, understandably, on edge but hopefully everyone is more tolerant of each others' opinions later today :) and :moo:

It's perfectly fine to give opinions but to judgmentally attack someone, in this case C&S Hughes I have to disagree. I can understand not supporting them, I can understand thinking there's something hinky there but to call them names that I've seen posted earlier is going way above and beyond opinions.

I do agree, I think lots are on edge with this trial and hopefully we all hang in there!

BBM. After a longer break, the day before trial starts on here sometimes reminds me of kids having been on holidays and needing to go back to school. And to be clear, ;) I'm not saying anyone is a kid, I'm just saying it's that kind of atmosphere.

It's been another long weekend...:scared:

A few more hours and we will forget about the Hughes, and we will all be complaining about something else. :floorlaugh:
