BC is still busy writing, writing, writing. It must be a book, and I'll wager its title will be, "Adventures of Brad, The Sequel -- If I Did It." Best seller?

I think Brad is making a list of questions for whomever does the cross on this witness..

Wolfpack in the house!!! It is good to have you back, I am a 94 Computer Engineer graduate and I do enjoy discussing and debating issues with you.

I'm 95 EE (although I started in 89....spent 4 semesters co-oping). We probably had a class or 2 together.

I initially thought they were tallking about Nancy's phone...but it appears to be Brad's blackjack phone..Is that right?...

  • #148

9. I do not believe he would keep a necklace because it was worth $2800 (because Brad's all about the money), yet would dispose of networking equipment worth much more than that. Brad knew the necklace was a big deal long before he handed it over to police in October. If he murdered her and took it, there is no chance he keeps that once it becomes known that it is a topic of concern for all her friends.

I have not had time to read all posts made today, I stopped after seeing this one and have a general comment about this thought. BC paid for the necklace unlike the networking gear which he secured from Cisco. Therefore, despite the value of the networking gear it did not come out of BC's pocket.

  • #155
No call history in the phone.

  • #156
thats why the NEXT witness is blacked out...because he/she will reveal how they(FBI)get their information...and criminals can't be privy to that

What do you do when you begin to examine a cell phone?

Check serial numbers and be sure it can be turned off and on and check software to see best way to download it.

Witness given evidence, cell phone. Did you make a report? Document id'd as his report........

Def Kurtz doesn't object at this time and wants to talk to pros? silence............one of links on FBI report was a dead link.......

When did he receive item? About Oct 29, 2010...............received from Charlotte Field Office, FBI...............

Turned it on and it requested a pin #.....couldn't unlock so removed 'sim card' and read 'sim card' with computer. Pin can refer to phone or sim card, Puck deals only with sim card (personal unlock key)......tech talk! :slap:

What info kept on sim card? Id of user, tele # user, and ID for card itself. Can contain list of contacts, messages, and limited call history. This phone did not have this.

Pin for sim and Pin for phone. Password just for phone...........puck is a back-door around sim card. How many digits are puck codes? 6?

Usually you can figure out phone # by sim card.

Report on sim card and one on phone as well..............Card holder verification?

Public land, mobile network selector? He doesn't know about that.

SMS = short message service...............what did you find? This sim card didn't contain any SMS messages. What happened when you tried to get into this sim card?..................It was connected to another computer, higher level of security. 3rd party connection, incryption program he'd never seen before. Asked for 32 character screen................hmmmmm..............interesting.................

Det Young gave him 32 digit code..............he entered the number and it unlocked the phone and connected the phone to a computer......7 contacts,....generic service numbers.................didn't find any people's names or phone #'s..............Couldn't determine what happened to contacts on phone................There were messages on phone and downloaded................some personal messages and some not personal..............10/22/08, phone # ..................that's the phone # and the phone stores incoming and outgoing messages. What is text of message?

He has no knowledge of case, he just downloads and provides the info.

Why no contacts on phone? He assumed contacts had been deleted.
Calendar, notices.....won't read calendars and appts..............

No call history in phone.......Images saved? Yes, and movies (short one) H doesn't know what the pictures responded to.....

2 possibilities of LACK of call history...............user instructed to delete history or replaced 'sim card.'

Uh oh, did Brad switch sim cards?

  • #160
No call history in the phone.

This was collected into evidence October 2008, found on table or in Brad's mothers purse...It appears call log had been erased..or the sim card had been replaced...Thats what I have gotten out of this testimony so far...
