I think it's important to show that BC liked to live the single life, women on different continents, competing in distant locales, no wife to nag about doing laundry, money in his pocket to spend on the ladies = reason to get rid of wife.

BC admitted it went on for about 3 years, right?

No, according to BC it was a one-night stand - a one time thing and he called HM and told her it could never happen again.

Didn't Brad tell Nancy he was "in love" with Heather? Do we know if they actually had plans to be together after he and Nancy seperated? Wonder if he's made any "confessions" to her?

As much as I'd like them to "cut to the chase" a foundation has to be built!

I thought that was the orig story, but then in therapy it came out it was a long standing affair and he loved her?

March 2007 email from Brad to Celine, who lives in France. Brad researching internships for her, one in UK, maybe one in RTP. #coopertrial

BC thinks of getting French sweetie to RTP ....my my my. Isn't he Mr. Helpful.

Couldn't the defense just concede that Brad slept around and was a jerk and that Nancy seemed to be whiny and unhappy with her situation, much of which she caused / contributed to?

Then perhaps we could have some evidence?

This entire thing seems to be suburban couples behaving badly, or real housewives of Cary - but not Dateline worthy.

Sounds more like a friendship (although an inappropriate one since he was married). An internship in the UK wouldn't make having an affair any easier.

This goes for the defense - shows BC is such a nice guy. He's busy working, school, training for a triathlon, trying to save his marriage, and he has time to help his former french lover find a job.

Celine email to Brad: I am considering an internship in the US. May I ask you what Cisco requires. (Brad was working at Cisco) #coopertrial

I'm sure you may be right - I may have forgotten some of what I knew at one time.

Really, what is the point in any of this, except to give us salacious details into their lives?

On another note, I'm hopeful this trial destroys HM's life as she knows it. She makes me sick. Sure, there's 2 people in an affair, but to have an affair with her FRIEND'S husband, and then banter back in forth in emails. Vomit.

I don't see it as 'salacious details' as much as I see how long the affair had been ongoing. Remember, something Nancy said was that Brad had kept telling her she was imagining things, she was a terrible wife for accusing him of doing something he hadn't done, etc. IIRC, wasn't that very much what Betty Broderick's husband had done when he was having the affair with his young secretary? Said *she* was nuts, etc. I believe I heard testimony here that Nancy was questioning *her* sanity due to things Brad said about her/it. These emails were in 2004, and it wasn't until 2008 that Brad finally coughed up the truth. Up until that time it was referred to as 'nancy not believing him, and nancy being crazy'. MOO

:silly: Now I really am sorry I missed this morning's testimony!

Brad SAID he was going to sue... I guess that was before he fell in love with her....

Incorrect, he admitted it was more than a one time thing in the deposition (in closet and in the car).

Thinking he would have to be pretty upfront with his wife if he wanted to have a fiiendship. Looooonnnnnnnnnnnnggg way to travel for a friendship.

Perhaps that is the only evidence they have. I imagine Dateline is getting pissed that they wasted resources on this. But Keith Morrison will try to find a way to make it sound interesting using his drama voice.

And what is that foundation exactly, that he had an affair with HM? That he flirted with the french girl? I believe that's been pretty well established.
