Yes, I caught the word he used and I think that's wrong - but its no indication of intolerance. If you look deep enough you can find something to dislike about anyone.

You seem very sure of his intentions and motivation though.

Being qualified as an expert will allow him to be used again and again as a defense expert witness and THAT is where he will see a financial reward. Do a pro bono, get qualified, and then add that to that extensive resume of his. Gave a little, to get a lot.

I don't think this approach is going to work very well for the prosecution. If the jury hasn't used Fecebook they won't care and if they have, they have experienced Facebook privacy fiascos.

Actually, on RR NC page there is a video about facebook's lack of security this am, the video wouldn't run for me, I am not going ot have to go back and see if it works.

Looked like personal pictures you might find on Facebook or similar site. One picture had the witness in a T-shirt with an unreadable slogan.

Quoting myself cuz I missed this afternoon's testimony, but sounds like they really DID look at his Facebook account?! What was the T-shirt slogan?

I think the only point he is making is that he can't deny what the man testified to. I thought the going over his resume was ridiculous too and that he wanted to pull in job he had while in school.

One area I do question is the use of a version of back whatever it was, a version that is updated from what was available in 2008. Having trouble being convinced of a couple of things - one- if it was so great in 2008 why the update, and two - the only "proof" offered for it being the same was this guy's word - not one single piece of documentation. I'm pretty much thinking I would like to know a few things since the defense is trying to show the jury something done on software that did not exist at the time the supposed events occurred. I live in the "Show Me" state though...

I agree but a lot of those types of programs are updated when a new OS comes out. If there is any relevancy to the different versions I would expect they would ask their own witness during rebuttal. MOO

I have to disagree. I'm definitely not an expert and even I saw some things that were not exactly accurate.

I think they showed he wasn't much of a professional, much less an expert.

I personally was quite offended by his '' remark. Especially at his age, and in this day and age. One of my grandchildren has autism, and very much *appears* to be retarded lots of the time. Other children make fun of him if he is at the park with my daughters and his cousins, etc. Anybody, especially an adult, loses all of my respect when they make such references. MOO

I don't think his website being under construction, and we have no idea how long it has been under construction, means anything if his business was word of mouth. It doesn't seem to have hurt his business not having one. Websites are not a requirement to run a business even if you have a tech company.

The judge didn't allow the photos to be entered into evidence so we don't know exactly what they showed...except a few of us got a glimpse of them early this morning and JW was not wearing a shirt. Don't know about the t shirt slogan. Only thing ADA did was to slam the man about not updating his FB security. Very disappointing.

I would call what the pros and judge just did the the witness c l a s s less. I am ashamed to
live in Cary and I will never feel the same as I did before this trial.....I always felt safe living here
but not anymore. I always regarded the justice system fair but not anymore. Shame, shame, shame is what I feel out of this debacle. It's not about who is guilty or not guilty but a biased judge being able to rule over this case from the beginning. Everyone wants to know the
truth but has no tolerance to let the evidence be shown fairly.....My heart goes out to Mr. & Mrs. Rentz and Mr. and Mrs. Cooper.

Interesting testimony..kids were well dressed and appeared to be happy...Dont think anyone is alleging the kids were threatened or abused..unless you consider taking away their mother as abuse..but of course she is only testifying prior to Nancy's murder...:waitasec:
