Something is odd about this testimony. She called Nancy and asked her to leave the party to come drink wine with her. She seems a little upset that NC may have gone running with CC without inviting her AND when she supposedly expected NC to come over to paint.

Sounds strangely needy and possibly jealous of other people getting NC's attention.

Just observations from her testimony and demeanor.

Listening to call to CPD by Jessica. IMO, her gut feelings are Brad did something BAD.

Who and where is Carrie Clark? Did "running with CC" that morning really mean "rendezvous with Mr X."?

If she did tell Brad that she was running with Carrie Clark, it probably meant she was running with JP or another man.

Guess all those witnesses that saw her running alone were mistaken?

I'm getting the impression that the prosecution started with the weakest witness, and they're getting stronger all the time.

Not necessarily. If she was meeting somebody she could have started her run alone.

JA Just testified that she saw NC immediately prior to going to the party and she DID have the necklace on. She further testified that she had never seen NC without the necklace, and had been told by NC that she never took the diamonds off, including pool, shower or sleep.

There was an indication in a statement by JA that she believed that she did not take off either necklace or earrings.

The testimony about the necklace was very compelling.
How many 'little things' that don't add up do we have now?

1. There is a Carey Clark
2. The two of them did run together often
3. Carey Clark did not have any plans with Nancy to run that Sat 7/12/08
4. Carey came to the Cooper house on 7/12/08 and told police that she and Nancy did NOT have plans to run that day.
5. Cary also filed an affidavit testifying to the above.
6. A copy of that affidavit it in the Legal Docs section above.

jmo, JA is 100% credible.

And in the 'really small world' dept. Carey Clark's husband is a veterinary surgeon. My dog had emergency surgery last April at the specialty hospital he worked at and it turns out that her surgeon was Carey Clarke's husband. I didn't meet him in person but I did talk to him on the phone after the surgery. I didn't know at the time that's who he was or who his wife was; I found that out later.

JA said that she had never seen NC without the necklace on however there are a LOT of photos of NC without the necklace on so clearly she didn't always have it on.

You would have to know when those pictures were taken. I think there has already been some discussion about when she got the necklace.

There are a lot of photos showing Nancy before she owned the necklace. The necklace was purchased in Oct 2007, according to testimony.

In 2008 the defense attempted to show a picture of Nancy not wearing the necklace, but the photo was blurry and taken from across the room, and one could not see any detail in the photo, so their 'proof' fell flat. They had posted this picture on their own website at one time.

One of the prosecution witnesses said that Cisco was doing the green card process for her. It's actually a long process.

It does not take 8 years. I have a tad bit of experience with this. All we have on this is what Brad supposedly told Nancy and supposedly he told her this after he canceled her return to Canada in April. Why did he wait until that event with all of these finacial troubles he was so concerned about I wonder. If you don't believe Nancy about much, why do you believe her about this ?

Well, she sure was right when her instincts told her something was wrong and it was time to call LE. No denying that.

She was a very good witness.

Also, referencing the Carey Clark thing earlier. That's still not concrete enough for me. Nancy seemed to run the "house" activities (including social and social fitness) so that could have been a name out of a hat that meant she was really heading out by herself or with someone she didn't want to have a confrontation over.

The age of the photos can be based on the kids ages, I think.

The work visa for Nancy would be a long process, but not eight years. It depends on when they started that process, which is probably a year or so after the kid's births.

Still, this witness is getting more to what I was looking for.

Again, a single photo without her wearing it is all that is needed to refute this testimony. The defense said they have several.
