Okay! Screw was missing on BC's license plate. Screw gun located in the 'mud room'. I wish the testimony was giving facts such as this and no 'maybe' allowed. I can see speculation allowed where the friends are concerned as to their impressions on demeanor and their observations, but not with the UC detective.

MOO

Yes, I hope SG can give us a good rundown of the events, but after all the blackout on video, this is not sounding too concrete to me. I still think they have better evidence, but at this point sounding like no forensics in the trunk and so forth are not too good.

If BC did change a license plate, it would have been interesting had he been pulled over for having the incorrect plate on the vehicle.

N&O has a small update.

RALEIGH -- RALEIGH -- "Adam Dismukes, one of the key investigators in the Nancy Cooper homicide case, testified this morning in Wake County Superior Court that though he believed she was murdered in her home he did not know which room.

Dismukes also testified that he thought Brad Cooper, her spouse of nearly eight years, transported her body to the remote Wake County spot where it was found.

But he said he did not know which vehicle her body was moved in."

So it sounds like he doesn't have a real theory about what happened except he thinks Brad killed her.

I hope they have some awesome evidence. I'm just ready to see it (hear it).

When I attended court in my law enforcement job attorneys often led officers down that "believed" road. Q. "What led you to believe a crime may have occurred?" A. "There was a large amount of blood pooled in the floor." Q. At what point did you believe Mr. 🤬🤬🤬 was involved in the attack on Ms. YYY?" A. I observed that Mr. 🤬🤬🤬 had scratch marks on his face and bandaid on a cut on his finger." Q. Why do you believe the attack occurred in the foyer?" A. I received information from a neighbor that a vase sitting in the foyer the day before was missing. I observed that the decorative sticks in the vase were broken and in the trash can." Whereby someone tweeting (twitter was not available back in those days) could have tweeted, "The officer believed the attack occurred in the foyer."

In the article it references that Detective Daniels is the lead on the Cooper case. Dismukes assisted by completing assigned tasks, not involved in everything.

Lets hope Detective Daniels, when he testifies, is not one of those we cannot see or hear. I suspect his testimony will be more complete.

Isn't that yesterday - the dog handler?

LOL, yes it is... I was so excited to see the attorneys speaking that I wanted to share my excitement with everyone (yes, I know :loser: haha) before they called the witness to the stand.

:truce:

Hello, less0305!

I have been in a position to escort parish, state, and Federal inmates to court and have sat through many trials as well. Maybe Louisiana just sticks more to what was actually seen, observed, stated, and heard by LE than N.C., although I do think it depends on the Judge. All non LE witnesses can go further.

It does seem some real facts are testified to by Dismukes as well as some speculation on his part. It is the 'maybe' and 'could have beens' that I do not care for.
