JY used the shoes 11/06 and they finally found the details of the shoes 12/07.
Sorry, your statement makes no sense...unless you think it would be normal to ditch perfectly good shoes the following week?

I think you two might be confusing which "JY" you are talking about.

JY = Jason Young, murderer of wife Michelle Fisher Young.

JA Young = Det Jim Young of CPD

He was comparing the 2 cases.

I PR'd last year (just under 9 minute miles). I'm a big guy (6'5" 245), so 9 minute miles last year was great. I hurt both of my achilles tendons playing in a basketball league last summer that still haven't healed (on has). So training has been hard. I ran 12 minutes slower than last year, but 5 minutes faster than November. I'm hoping to get over the injuries and then PR again next year.

And I agree....it is definitely personal preference. I quit drinking before them because I would have to pee too many times during the run. Now I don't.

Yeah, you're about a foot taller and 100 lbs heavier than my husband! I am always amazed how serious runners don't get completely derailed by injuries--my hat is off to you!

Hello, new to this forum. I've heard comments on Nancy having an affair with her twin sister's beau and an STD as well, but it seems to only be rumor. Can you tell us where you received that information? Many thanks!

That was garbage put in the defense's motion and completely made up.

Heck, my wife would wear flannel to bed at that temperature (actually she does). I actually prefer it that cool at night.

Me too, to the cool. I just checked our thermostat in the house, it's 59 degrees in here. We set our heat at 59 I think, and mostly use the gas fireplace in the winter. Neither one of us like it HOT. I'd rather live in Alaska myself, but never does a long-sleeved garment appear on either of us once the AC goes on in the spring. :)

Ohhh Dear..Dont bring in anything to add to confusion for my overwhelmed brain:floorlaugh:..I think referring to this Det JY we should use Det. McDreamy..sorry ncsu..I know you are a male..so dont take offense ..but he really is a good lookin guy to us females

Not if he agreed to it.

I know you don't, but investigating the disappearance of a man's wife and seeing scratches on his neck, I certainly would have gotten one to protect the integrity of the case.

Often a specific search warrant would be required to photograph the person of an individual. I would have done a search warrant for the person of Brad Cooper even IF he had consented. That would make a greater impact than just having the individual's verbal consent.

JMO, and do not wish to continue the point.

It is some of the court papers that will filed in February. I have the link at home and can post it later. At work right now...

I have to leave for the rest of the day, so y'all hold down the fort! :seeya:

I do hope it picks up this afternoon. I felt like this morning's testimony should have begun with, "Brought to you by The Department of Redundancy Department" and with the warning: "Viewer discretion is advised. Portions of today's testimony may induce drowsiness or coma."

Is it just me?? or does Brad do alot of shopping purchasing one item at a time..??? In less than 24 hours he goes to store 3 times and buys one item each time??..That is rather strange to me ( the OCD/organized list making person that I am :floorlaugh:)...It appears Brad is not use to shopping:crazy::waitasec:

Two things from this morning:

If the trip to Lowes for the drop cloth was innocent and at Nancy's request, why didn't Brad mention it when asked about errands done on July 11th on the depo. videos? Alice Stubbs asks several times and he kinda hedges his bets with a (paraphrased) "maybe. not that I can recall." He knew darn well were he had been, and he knew better than to turn Alice Stubbs loose on that information.

Det. Young said he appeared to wipe his brow and then wipe his hand on his jeans as he entered Harris Teeter on the first trip. That's what it looked like to me, too. If he's sweating that would indicate to me he wasn't chilly and might not need a long sleeved pullover completely zipped up. But maybe that's just me.

I would like to know if the clothing BC wore to Harris Teeter was confiscated by LE.

New to posting...but long time lurker. Love the thoughtful discussion. Since we have heard no evidence to date that Nancy was killed in the house, does anyone think it may have happened out in the back yard, on the patio, or the garage?

We don't know that he ditched the shoes. We have no idea if they specifically looked for the shoes from the video. They did for JY because of the foot prints left at the crime scene. We don't have that in this case. So my statement makes plenty of sense.

The detective clearly stated they never recovered the shoes seen on video.
If not ditched by BC, where do you think they went:waitasec:
