State vs. Jason Lynn Young 03-01-12 (P.M. session: PT closing arguments)

The lack of forced entry puzzled me somewhat.

The PT has made JY into a great planner so if he planned all of this out carefully why wouldnt he make sure the door was broken into with a crowbar for example before he left the scene?

Maybe he just forgot to do that.

I agree the PT made great strides today but the unknown size 10 shoe issue is still a mystery. I dont think Jayson was wearing shoes that were two sizes smaller than his 12 size shoe. So no matter how this ends that will continue to nag at me.

I dont think anyone really believes he had help.

IMO

I think he didn't want to damage the house..cared more about the house than MY. Same reason he stripped his bloody clothes before going downstairs and locked his precious baby covered in her mother's blood in the bathroom. Very disturbing to even imagine

I was able to catch Howard Cummings closing argument live and was very impressed with how he did. I just now watch Becky Holt and I thought she too was amazing. I truly believe the evidence is there for the jury to convict on Murder 1 and the prosecutors did a wonderful job of showing them how to put the puzzle together.

I hope the jury feels the same way and gives Cassidy, Meredith, Linda and all those who love and miss Michelle and Rylan the only small measure of justice they can get here on earth. Guilty Murder 1 and sentenced to life without parole.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughtful discussions. Even if I disagree with you, I value your voice. Thanks to all the LE, Howard and Becky who have labored not once but twice in the search for justice.

Michelle and her family have snuck in my heart much like Laci and her family did all those years ago. I for some reason really relate to Meredith and I have thought and prayed for her constantly over the last few weeks.

I disagree, the defense as usual not only knew where the state would go, they got there first.......

Klinkosum's 10 point power play, and Collins gas mileage chart among all the other things he presented was brillant.

It is also the style in which they know how to talk to people,to make them understand.

Holt and Cummings are usually so bitter, snide and sarcastic, and talk down to people.

jmo

Of course they got there first, they went first. jmo:seeya:

Isn't it strange that so many times a husband wants out of a marriage and their spouse end up murdered?
I feel that there were too many coincidences in this instance. Just too many coincidences imo.:seeya:

Unfortunately millions of people have wanted out of their marriage and get a divorce. Actually a very small percentage wind up murdered in comparison to those who get divorces and go on with their lives. Even spouses where there were domestic violence issues during the marriage arent usually murdered by their spouse or ex-spouse.

About 3,500 females are murdered each year and about third of them were killed by their spouse/ex-spouse or a boyfriend. 66% of them were killed by someone else such as an aquaintance, friend, coworker or stranger or an unknown.

imo

I ask you Wp, is that what a stranger does?

I think it's possibly a stranger, but as I've said before, I think it's more likely that it was Jason Young. I do think he's guilty, I haven't wavered on that at all. But I don't base that on the violence of the crime. Anyone how is capable of murdering another human being, forcefully ripping life out of an innocent person, is also capable of that level of violence.

The one thing that has me scratching my head that I can't reconcile overall is a really odd one. I can make everything else stand out but this. I can cancel out DT with PT and PT with DT on most of what I am looking for.

What is the thinking behind why there are fingerprints on the sheetrock (theorized that he balanced while beating her) when there are no injuries and we assume he had gloves on?

Do we think he removed them when the strangling didn't work and he didn't need them for the beating?

Maybe I shouldn't have made that comment, but going by what some of you say every person abused will be killed when its simply not true.... Thats my point..That happened 5 yrs ago & he's never laid a hand on her since.. Wasn't being snarky....
So if it bothered some of you I'm sorry..... I to have been in an abusive relationship.. Stayed in in for 9 yrs.... Was I ever afraid he would kill me? no.. He just wasnt that type of person....

I believe Jason IS that type of person though.

For anyone else who missed HC's closing today, it's up on WRAL now. The pictures of MY are shown around 27 minutes in, for those who did not see it the first time, and wish to do so.

I don't know how I missed it. . . gruesome.

A door lock is not that expensive though especially when a murderer is trying to cover his tracks.

I missed that part. So Cass was in the bathroom locked up the entire time?

I thought I had read she was walking around in the home when Meredeth arrived?

Maybe I have that part wrong because I havent been able to keep up with all of the trial especially the first few weeks.

IMO

Gritguy....Notice HC didn't mention MY's unborn child much when speaking of the murder. Not sure if he didn't at all but at the end he just said MY. Any strategy or reason for that you can think of??

Unfortunately, we don't have all the pieces to the puzzle - only the killer has those. Fortunately, we have enough pieces to make it out - JY is guilty.

Even 10 murderers?? Better hope those 10 aren't in or near your neighborhood.

I cannot even imagine sending an innocent person to jail. That is definitely more horrifying to me than the thought of 10 guilty people roaming the streets.

True, a lock wouldn't be much. No not all night, just long enough to make the bathroom full of her prints.

and google.com/history, and that tells you what is stored from computer to computer, attached to your google account.

Now, all of this is still probably saved at the google server level.
