The state has resumed questioning:

HC is introducing exhibits..and asking the therapist how she takes notes.

She types things out on her computer as she hears them.

MY and her husband have been to counseling, they fight over everything, they have differerent personalities, and sexual intimacy is lacking.

Relationship looks good on the outside, but not on the inside.

They argue over house chores.

She has to make all the plans.
They go on vacations and they have a lot of fun.

Everyone loves Jason, he is so much fun.
But, she wants him to live in the real world.

She cries throughout the session.

And, I am off to eat breakfast !!

says sex with jason is like when a guy tried to force himself on her in college

I wonder if she had counselling after the incident in college or whether she still had unresolved issues based on the previous assault.

So, if you were a husband with a pregnant spouse at home with a toddler... you would turn off your phone???

Something happens to spouse... the only 'everyone' that knew what/where he was was his alibi set-ups IMO. Then LE has to call the hotel, get his room, then what if he is out SMOKING cigars or something. No way he can be found.
How about leaving your phone ON to prevent such an occurance.

Life happened, women were pregnant, babies were born before cell phones were invented. A husband that was at work or away from phones while his wife was pregnant was not the end of the world.

Michelle said that Jason was a practical joker and good fun but it sometimes went too far for her ... he didn't stop when she'd had enough.

I think it matters if it was different than his normal routine, but if not it wouldn't be relevant.

JMO, MOO, I think the first time around, the first trial, Judge Stephens made those remarks about 'not dragging this trial out like the Cooper trial' because *he thought* this would be a slam dunk case. Upon reflection, he's seen that much more of the evidence in this case needs to be admitted. And this time around, he is doing so. These are my opinions only.

Oooops, last thing.
The therapist reports MY never told her of any physical abuse.

No kidding, Otto. I absolutely do not see how his phone being "on" or "off" is something to be significant in this case. MOO

Ahead of schedule for the trial, ran out of witnesses today, took less time than anticipated.

Court is going to be adjourned for today. Instructions to the jury, etc.

Short cross.

Reiterating second pregnancy was planned.

Witness released.

Judge speaks.....they are ahead of themselves and they are out of witnesses. Done for the week. Released till Monday

Although the therapist said there was no report of physical violence in the marriage, she determined MY was in a 'verbally abusive' marriage.

IMHO, if you've followed any number of these cases, a 'verbally abusive' relationship, is on 1 - 2 seconds away from violence.

Who else strongly disagrees with ending not just early but at this point in the case? I'm not too thrilled.

  • #177
Ah, the jury can go home with the last testimony presented that from the counselor. IMHO, that helps the prosecution.

On a different note, MANY THANKS to all posting updates as to what is happening for those of us that can't watch or listen. I rely on your updates to keep up!

Therapist is of the impression that Michelle is a victim of verbal abuse by Jason, and that martial (couples) counseling is not appropriate; marital counseling is not indicated for abuse victims.

Are you kidding? A pregant wife at home with a toddler, husband phone off all night... dang, I would be ASHAMED of myself if I did that to my wife!!!

I suppose you guys would leave a 10 year old home alone while you were out... hoping if there was an emergency authorities could somehow contact you if your phone was OFF.

If a female in MY's circumstances... How would feel about this 'off' phone?

If a male... would you be ashamed of leaving your wife in that state but turning your phone off?
