My daughter is a forensic chemist. She testifies in court when needed. So from what I understand, this guy is just the 'collector,' and onsite testing. HE can only testify to what HE found and did.

The forensic person who evaluates the stuff sent to the labs, etc., will testify to the findings and HOW they came to their conclusion.

Oh, and my daughter's lab, has a separate department, just for researching and analyzing the prints, ie hand prints evidence. Each technician has their specialty.

fwiw, it was in the first trial. That was part of JY's explanation tour on each piece of dam*ing evidence, ie the computer search.

He basically, admitted he did do that search. So it won't matter if MF used the Young computer or not, JY already testified and admitted to such.

Now it's up to the DA to discredit his original testimony. I believe that's why we're seeing much more detail during this second trial. They are going out and pulling all those I's and T's and reinforcing the dots and crosses and hopefully will top it off with something that he can't get out of, and NEW 'hook,' if you will.

No, and I don't know if he will at this one.

I have not seen the witness list, but he was the friend Michelle
had lunch with a few days before she was murdered.

I think he moved out of state later.

If both your rumors are true, tells me a gay supporter of JLY may be a hint into JLY's possible bi-sexuality. Who knows?

I have not seen the list from either side.

IIRCC, that was part of his testimony that blindsided the pros and they weren't prepared to dispute it or call him on it. IMHO, it was a brilliant strategy which I doubt the def figured out to do, but the def attorney. He did a great job of def his client. HOWEVER, he didn't get the outcome he'd hoped to, rather than being acquitted, the jury was hung and now there's a retrial.

Bluff played and now the DA is gonna call 'em on it. That's why I THINK JY won't be testifying again. To think up NEW excuses will be waaayyyy to obvious, even to this new, fresh jury.

I believe they are referring to a different message board, fran. Somebody else told me the IS's references are to the 'In Session' boards. hth I've never been on 'em myself, so I have no idea what any of the 'gay friend' stuff refrences. :waitasec:

I do not know this case that well and try to keep up so I was wondering...was the child potty trained? I know if my daughter would have slept 11 hours, her diaper/pull up would have weighed 5 lbs. Now my daughter, at that age, might have slipped out of a diaper or pull up but she would have never discarded it. Anyone know? Thanks in advance.

Was the prosecution prepared for the 1st trial? They weren't prepared for JY to testify & not prepared for his explanation of computer searches??

MF's testimony is that she used the computer in the office at the Young's house to print out a document or paper she needed (I think for school possibly). At no time has there been testimony that her 'friend' (gay or otherwise) used the Young's computer.
