What are they? tia

a nab is a square cracker sandwich, say just under 2 inches a side. They come six to a pack. They can be a few different flavors. They are packed with nutrients and vital minerals, and if not that, at least something. Mostly, they are dry and salty and compliment a beverage of any sort.

Moon pies are for relaxing; nabs are for when you have a job to do.

The Kenneth Cole shoes they had in court are very similar to his Hush Puppies.
The jury will see the video at the Cracker Barrel and will not be able to decide what shoes are which....another lucky break for Jay.

I am talking about the pictures of the "passenger seat". This witness said he found these Kenneth Coles packed under car seat in the back or something along those lines.

Maybe it is the same pair of shoes and the defense is trying to point out an error in the detectives cataloging of evidence?

Did the def. explain during the first trial why Jason had a bank acct with his mother? He was a grown man with a wife and child. TIA

Hmmmm, I must be confused. I eat either one if I'm hungry and happen to have access to them. :)

Both yummy!

Nabs, definitely a southern term. We always called them cheese crackers or just crackers up north.

I can understand why they don't call them that down here in the south though lol!

I don't care what brand, style, whatever those shoes were in the back of the car. The fact is, he SAID in previous testimony that he no longer had the hush puppies, which, COINCIDENTALLY would have matched the foot prints at the murder scene.

I might be totally making this up, but I swear I heard that when cheese crackers originally appeared in the south, Nabisco made them. = nabs.

I wasn't able to watch much of today's testimony, just listened to snippets. Was there anything that's a must-see? Any of it that might foster future revelations?

I am talking about what this guy was presenting not the same thing from before. I agree that explanation is less than perfect but its one of many you can say don't add up depending on your POV on this.

I was just wondering what the defense was getting at with the line of questions about a 2nd pair of shoes.

Yep: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lance_Inc.

Many snack cracker products manufactured by Lance are commonly referred to as "Nabs". The term "Nabs" today is used to refer to any type of snack crackers, most commonly those made and manufactured by Lance, Inc. Many in the southeastern United States prefer the term Nabs to generically mean the specific Toastchee brand of Lance crackers. The term has its origins back to 1924 when the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) introduced a snack, put in a 5-cent sealed packet called "Peanut Sandwich Packet". They soon added a second, "Sorbetto Sandwich Packet". These packets allowed salesmen to sell to soda fountains, road stands, milk bars, lunch rooms, news stands etc. Sales increased and in 1928 the company adopted and started to use the name NAB, which immediately won the approval of the public. This term caught on and is still widely used today.

I think your last sentence is correct.
Kenneth Coles found in front.

These are the shoes found in the rear (low cut boot type)

When I was a youth at the Boy's Club... the guys would call them '4 corner nabs' and would throw in a moon pie and a 'suicide' to drink for the perfect meal. A suicide is a drink with all the soda's mixed into one.

Consider this:

A couple days after the murder he buys replacement HP shoes. Not the exact same style or sole pattern, but similar in color. At that point investigators had not yet found the DSW evidence that proved he purchased the HP Orbital shoes a little over a year before the murder, along with 2 other pairs of shoes.

He didn't know they would find that information.

Once he found out (via seeing later search warrants) that his prior purchase at DSW had been discovered, he had to come up with a reason why he no longer had those shoes. He couldn't very well say he never owned a pair of them...

I think if you said you had a "Peanut Sandwich Packet" or "Sorbetto Sandwich Packet" in your pocket these days, you'd probably be arrested.

Bottle Cap

Today was mostly continued testimony of the collector of evidence from the crime scene. So most of it will most likely be talked about again by the expert witnesses who's job it is to analyze the forensic part, ie finger prints, etc.

Now they're with another collector of evidence,

About the only thing that made you catch your breath was when they read J's anniversary card to MY. He sent it from Florida, as he was there consummating his affair with Ms... Money. Hence, he missed their anniversary,

The card was all sappy, but when you find out the purpose of him being gone from his wife's side on his anniversary, well, it just looks more like a sinister move on the part of JY.

Anyway, that's my take on it, a Gotcha' from the pros.

Now the def is trying to bring out the shoes. You might want to look at the last 1/2 hour video of today. I believe they left us hanging.

I don't recall that bank statement ever being introduced as evidence before. I missed that part of the testimony -- did they say how much money was in the account?

Hmmm, I forgot he'd purchased two other pairs of shoes at that time. Would be interesting if LE or the pros knew WHEN he'd purchased the other pair of shoes they found in the car.
