The jury will see the video at the Cracker Barrel and will not be able to decide what shoes are which....another lucky break for Jay.

I am talking about the pictures of the "passenger seat". This witness said he found these Kenneth Coles packed under car seat in the back or something along those lines.

Maybe it is the same pair of shoes and the defense is trying to point out an error in the detectives cataloging of evidence?

I am talking about what this guy was presenting not the same thing from before. I agree that explanation is less than perfect but its one of many you can say don't add up depending on your POV on this.

When I was a youth at the Boy's Club... the guys would call them '4 corner nabs' and would throw in a moon pie and a 'suicide' to drink for the perfect meal. A suicide is a drink with all the soda's mixed into one.

A couple days after the murder he buys replacement HP shoes. Not the exact same style or sole pattern, but similar in color. At that point investigators had not yet found the DSW evidence that proved he purchased the HP Orbital shoes a little over a year before the murder, along with 2 other pairs of shoes.

He didn't know they would find that information.

Once he found out (via seeing later search warrants) that his prior purchase at DSW had been discovered, he had to come up with a reason why he no longer had those shoes. He couldn't very well say he never owned a pair of them...

Today was mostly continued testimony of the collector of evidence from the crime scene. So most of it will most likely be talked about again by the expert witnesses who's job it is to analyze the forensic part, ie finger prints, etc.

About the only thing that made you catch your breath was when they read J's anniversary card to MY. He sent it from Florida, as he was there consummating his affair with Ms... Money. Hence, he missed their anniversary,

The card was all sappy, but when you find out the purpose of him being gone from his wife's side on his anniversary, well, it just looks more like a sinister move on the part of JY.

Anyway, that's my take on it, a Gotcha' from the pros.

Now the def is trying to bring out the shoes. You might want to look at the last 1/2 hour video of today. I believe they left us hanging.

I don't recall that bank statement ever being introduced as evidence before. I missed that part of the testimony -- did they say how much money was in the account?

Hmmm, I forgot he'd purchased two other pairs of shoes at that time. Would be interesting if LE or the pros knew WHEN he'd purchased the other pair of shoes they found in the car.
