I'm sure this is important stuff....but boy this is tough to sit and listen through.

Is it just me or does the pros appear to be headed towards saying "OK, we don't know everything - there was someone else there - but Jason was definitely there"?

Maybe, they sort of alluded to that at Jason's bond hearing.

I think what was meant was asleep for 'most' of the time after the murder.

But, ya gotta admit he really enjoys talking about dna. :)

Basically, since Jason lived there, it is difficult.

But, had his handprint been found in blood, that would have done it.

They are talking about the sprinkler at the HI again, could not determine a conclusion.

Very weak dna profile in the ROCK, and no conclusion could be made.

The old phrase: "Don't tell me how to build a watch, just tell me what time it is" comes to mind. I could never be a juror. I like things netted out, bottom lines.

break for the afternoon.

I am a NC taxpayer and I am overjoyed and relieved that he is being prosecuted. I am, however, outraged that Jason Young's lack of cooperation with law enforcement resulted in such a vast use of resources. Jason Young is the one who is directly responsible for this waste of resources.

Jason didn't obstruct the police investigation or do anything other than invoke his right to remain silent. Invoking his right to remain silent is not the same as not cooperating. It's not his fault the DA can't build a case against him.

Why would the murderer put her to sleep AFTER the murder? Wouldn't it make more sense before and during? :waitasec:

Partial dna profile, only 2 of the markers out of 15 to Jason and none to Michelle.

SPOILER
But, later, we will learn that they have no way of knowing how long it had been there.

No, wait, they are doing that now.
There is no way they know how long it was there, could be up to 20 years, not like it was outside, or in a wooded area..

Fungus can eat DNA, I am learning more than I want to, lol.

I'm a little surprised that the NC prosecutor's office is trying to have such low DNA numbers validated in court ... that could certainly backfire in the long run. Another thought that comes to mind is that people that perceive Amanda Knox as innocent, because of this type (some stronger DNA evidence iirc) of DNA evidence, should certainly consider that this same type of DNA evidence cannot point to guilt in Jason's case ... if we are to have a consistent set of rules for everyone.

I thought the significance of the hand print was blood spatter all around it, meaning that the hand was on the wall during the beating. I haven't heard testimony about that yet during this trial.

The murderer would have had to do it before killing MY. That would have risked being discovered by MY.

Maybe, but much harder to slip into the house, drug the baby, THEN assault and kill your wife.

Plus she might not have been in the murder room, then awoke and had to be cleaned up some and put back to bed.

:what: Now you tell me?? :what:

Why do I have the feeling you are going to come up with some excuse like your audio went out?

I am ready for Miss Michelle Money, :)

Because he hoped she would not wake up during the murder. You know sometimes you can manipulate a kid in their sleep and they're out like a light; probably he hoped to drug her while she was asleep or at most very groggy. Because he was going to be leaving her alone in a house with her dead mother's bloody body (sorry) and had to have a way to prevent her from being up and around until Meredith could be summoned to retrieve the papers from the printer. The drugging was a 'babysitter' from ~3AM to whatever time she woke up.

  • #339
How would anyone be able to testify to that? I just heard that the DA thought she had been drugged so she would sleep, but no one knows for how long.

Seems like a way to get a rumor started, that later may be claimed as *fact* MOO
