1. He was seen on camera heading toward the door that was later found to have been propped open with a rock. He ADMITS to walking out through this door and propping it open.

2. He found out through search warrants and discovery that there were some DNA markers on that rock that matched his DNA. Not a definitive match, but suggestive.

3. He needed to distance himself from that rock, so he came up with a story that has him putting a twig in the door. Since he never spoke to anyone other than what he said from the witness stand in trial #1, the "twig in door" story was a surprise to the state.

4. The twig story is bogus. CCBI went back to investigate this door after trial #1 ended. A twig is not strong enough to hold that heavy door UNLESS it is positioned in just the right way at the locking mechanism. In every other example the door closes and locks when a twig is used.

On TTV, there is a local Raleigh attorney, named Dan Boyce, and he is saying there is not much of a case against Jason, except he was a lousy huband and liar.

:what: .. :notgood: .. :ohwow: ... :puke:

I simply cannot wait.............:yuck:

I do want to hear her answer the PT re the joint bank account.

Also wondering if she will share the adorable story of him mooning his grandmother. This was one of the "antics" she shared during the last trial.

There is video showing him leaving HI by way of that emergency stairwell door close to midnight, presented during the first trial. In his testimony he claims he propped open the door with a twig while he got a cigar from his car and then smoked cigar and tried to check sports scores in the USA today. Then went back to room 421 where he had not closed his room door, so he did not have to use his key card. He then says he stayed in room the rest of the night.
The HI witnesses testified to finding a rock propping that same door open somewhere around 5:30 AM.

Thanks Grammy Jean,
Did he ever explain why he would leave his work computer in an unlocked room?
I would assume it had very important information on it that his employer entrusted to his care. Was he still selling pharma's at that point?

The hotel excuses don't hold water to me.

The hair (one hair) found in MY's hand is her own hair.

The hair found underneath MY's body is (I believe) her own hair.

The rock expert, Shawn Weiss, is going to say the dna on the rock is nowhere near a match to JY.

Jason testified and demonstrated on the stand how he put the twig in the door and how it had to be by the lock/latch or it would fall to the ground.

Galloway yesterday testified that indeed the twig would hold, but even more importantly , that a bush was in reach !!

Remember when we were told that Jason could not reach a bush from that door, well, Galloway said he could !

I don't know why anyone thinks the twig would not hold, when clearly Galloway said it would.

I can link and timestamp the video , if anyone wants to hear him say that, at the end of testimony today.

Misrepresenting the evidence on this forum isn't going to result in a guilty verdict. In reality, the rock was found in a stairwell emergency exit door. There is no security video showing Jason Young headed toward this door or ever going through the door.

There was testimony the rock was kicked from the door and there is no conclusive proof the rock gathered by LE was the same rock kicked from the door.

I realize this trial isn't going very well for the prosecution and that jurors are probably falling asleep but that's to be expected if the defendant is innocent.

Missing shirt alibi .... "You know, I must have left that shirt in the hotel room. I remember now that I hung it in the bathroom when I took my shower before going to bed. I simply forgot to pack it"

Went back and looked at MM on the stand in the last trial. She has to fight smiling, her demeanor appears she is enjoying her fifteen minutes. IMO

And this was a friend of MY? Creepy.

Poor Michelle -- she was a great mother; a CPA for a good and good-paying company; consistently moving up in salary & status; an organized and energetic person and planner; beloved by her daughter, sister, and mother; but a lousy judge of character when it counted most.

I feel very strongly that her parents' divorce really shaped her adult life, both when she got pregnant with CY and also with her persistence in trying so long and so hard with her horribly failing marriage. It is such a waste and a really heart-breaking situation.

Why are you inventing your own facts?

There is no video showing JY leaving the HI by way of that stairwell emergency exit.

There has been no testimony that the rock was found in the door at 5:30 AM

What was the testimony about the hair found under Michelle's body? Thanks!

I'm really wondering if the prosecution wants to lose this case because that's sure where it is headed.

I am pretty sure they are going to say it is Michelle's (they are on lunch break) but they did mention the hair was forcibly pulled out from the root.

The hair in Michelle's hand was her own.

JR stated the hair was not a match with JY. I did not hear whether it is a match with MY or is an unknown hair source. This needs to be verified.

Hi Albert..:seeya:

Never thought of that, hmmm .

Although, the maid would have found it.

Thanks, Cammy. failed strangulation and hair-pulling sounds like the perp may have been a female.

guess he thought something was wrong with his phone! Called ATT twice while trying to get ahold of his mom.

Or maybe he thought his numerous calls needed an alibi as well...."My phone keeps getting disconnected, you idiot. I keep having to re-dial. Are all of the telephone support people as stupid as you are? You're as bad as another idiot I did business with last night. She was a stupid b****. Am I the only smart person on earth?"

just a thought...

I don't know, but if the comments at WRAL reflect anything on this case, wow.

So far, we learned the twig held, the bush was in reach, and Jen Remy found nothing to connect Jason to the crime scene.

180 pages of evidence were mentioned yesterday, and this case could come down to a rock and a camera.......

Jurors need to be reminded that same camera, same stairwell, was messed with before, and the nite clerk did not notice it was out for hours and hours, how do we know he did not miss other times?

That would be a reasonable excuse, except that his attorneys showed a photo of him last time wearing what they claimed was that very shirt, at one of CY's birthdays AFTER the murder. Too late to say he lost the shirt.

Not that anyone can answer this, and as horrible as it sounds, but why? He had so much rage in him, so much anger, but yet was able to switch it off for her. Note, this is really a question no matter who was the killer.

Your question strengtens the argument that it was the child's father who could display unimaginable rage against his wife, but turned it off when faced with his child. An intruder would be far less inclined to leave a witness. Much less clean himself of blood, clean and drug the child and also go in to Jason Young's closet.
