What was the testimony about the hair found under Michelle's body? Thanks!

Hairs (clump and single strand) recovered from MY's hands, with roots attached, 25 - 27 cm in length. Hairs are inconsistent with JY's hair.

(Later testimony will reveal, I believe, whose hair it is, Michelle's own hair.)

Thanks, Cammy. failed strangulation and hair-pulling sounds like the perp may have been a female.

JMO

That should have been hair in her hand, sorry!

The rock expert, Shawn Weiss, is going to say the dna on the rock is nowhere near a match to JY.

Jason testified and demonstrated on the stand how he put the twig in the door and how it had to be by the lock/latch or it would fall to the ground.

Galloway yesterday testified that indeed the twig would hold, but even more importantly , that a bush was in reach !!

Remember when we were told that Jason could not reach a bush from that door, well, Galloway said he could !

I don't know why anyone thinks the twig would not hold, when clearly Galloway said it would.

I can link and timestamp the video , if anyone wants to hear him say that, at the end of testimony today.
What I don't get is, why would he lie about what he used to hold the door open? He admits he propped it open, so why lie? I don't think he is.Would not make a difference.Nice to see you Cammy.

Rarely do women kill with their bare hands - usual women require some sort of advantage other than bulk (i.e. weapon, paying someone else to murder, etc).

A woman did not do this. This was not a hair pulling girly fight - hair came out in the struggle.

I understand. Hair-pulling is very painful. Sounds as though Michelle fought back and her attacker lost grip on her hair.

I am sure we are going to hear more about it,!

Hair doesn't come out in a clump unless it is yanked with force. The testimony indicates roots attached. That's a lot of force.

Women fight with their bare hands and tactics they use include hair-pulling. I believe Michelle was also hit with a weapon. Her injuries are consistent with a female assailant.

I don't see how any of this even matters, the hotel staff said a door was propped open, Jason admits propping doors open...now what ?

Has the "clump of hair" actually been testified to who it belong too? I don't recall. The jury needs to know who's hair it was..Why hasn't it been identified as Michelle's? :seeya:

Yep , I always thought she fought hard, and the attacker should have had marks..............some signs of a struggle.

Clearly, if Jason did, this would had been over.

We are going there, after lunch, for confirmation.

That will be in testimony from a different DNA expert, IIRC. Stay tuned. :)

Because a rock (that rock) was found at 5:50am propping open an emergency exit door, JY would have to explain where he was and why he left a rock in the door. By changing his story to a "twig" he can say, "Oh that wasn't me...I put a twig in the door, then removed it when I came back inside."

It's a stupid lie, but it's a clue into just how damning JY considered that rock to be to take these measures to distance himself from it.

Misrepresenting the evidence on this forum isn't going to result in a guilty verdict. In reality, the rock was found in a stairwell emergency exit door. There is no security video showing Jason Young headed toward this door or ever going through the door.

There was testimony the rock was kicked from the door and there is no conclusive proof the rock gathered by LE was the same rock kicked from the door.

I realize this trial isn't going very well for the prosecution and that jurors are probably falling asleep but that's to be expected if the defendant is innocent.

JMO

Oh but things have taken a turn, haven't you been watching ? Jason Young has been exposed for lying about a hospital meeting he never went to, his trail of phone calls is so incriminating it's not even funny, testimony stating his daughter answered DADDY when asked who had been at the house the day of the murder, the therapist testified and it was learned what an abuser he really was...it just goes on and on But, as you yourself posted, that's to be expected if the defendant is guilty !!!

It means if the twig did not hold, or a bush was not in reach, Jason would have lied on the stand...

I think the term would be "busted."

Since, Galloway confirmed both things Jason said to be true, we move on.

Major blow to the state's case......jmo

Your question strengtens the argument that it was the child's father who could display unimaginable rage against his wife, but turned it off when faced with his child. An intruder would be far less inclined to leave a witness. Much less clean himself of blood, clean and drug the child and also go in to Jason Young's closet.

BBM. In this case, the witness was a toddler. The fact that she was unharmed strengthens the argument that she was unharmed because she could not identify her mother's attacker.

I am pretty sure they are going to say it is Michelle's (they are on lunch break) but they did mention the hair was forcibly pulled out from the root.

The hair in Michelle's hand was her own.

Hey, My Belle.:seeya:

I don't think anyone would think Michelle would pull her own hair out by the roots. Sounds like it started with hair pulling which indicates, to me, a girl fight and maybe a male stepped in to kill her off so as not to be identified. MOO

Thanks Grammy Jean,
Did he ever explain why he would leave his work computer in an unlocked room?
I would assume it had very important information on it that his employer entrusted to his care. Was he still selling pharma's at that point?

The hotel excuses don't hold water to me.

His testimony on this made no sense. He said he did not want his room door to slam and make a loud noise and disturb others and so he noticed it would not close unless you pulled it, so he decided to let it be open a crack. It's so easy to see he just did not want a record of his comings and goings both for room 421 and the stairwell exits and entrances he made.

The first jury sure did not agree with you and neither do I.

His daughter is on the witness list. I look forward to her testimony.

I agree with you. It does sound like at least one of her assailants was a woman.
