Jason said out loud to a friend he was "done" with his marriage. So why didn't he divorce MY instead? Let's see:

1. He told one friend he was afraid MY would take CY and move to NY where she was from and he'd never see the daughter again.

2. He told MF that staying married to MY was 'easier' than divorce. Divorce was the last option in his mind. Getting MY dead was #1.

3. In a divorce, he would be paying $$$, both for a divorce itself, child support, possible other payments to Michelle, he'd have to split proceeds on house, 401Ks, etc, etc. There was already significant debt.

4. He had at least a $million other reasons too. A $1M life insurance policy on Michelle. He had a $2M accidental death policy on her.

5. Another child = less time for mistresses, more financial pressure, more helping the wife, more child care time, less sports, less drinking out with the guys, less playtime, plus the ongoing conflicts, nagging, which would surely increase as his responsibilities increased.

6. His MIL looming ever closer, possibly helping with baby #2, which he so very clearly did not want.


His world was closing in and things were getting out of HIS control. He came to hate his wife, he hated being tied down, he hated having to be responsible, he didn't want to grow up, he was being forced to be a husband when he didn't want that.

If he just had CY, he could let his sister and mother parent her a large part of the time (remember the first thing he said to his sister, Heather was, "You're going to make a wonderful mother to CY") while he could gallivant around. In fact, that's just what he did!

Right. Plus, a random killer wouldn't care if the carpets downstairs got bloody. Who but the homeowner would want to contain the mess? Less carpet to have to replace to get the house ready to sell. I'm sure he was pizzed off he had to replace any of it.

I mean now we're looking at a fairly neat and considerate killer? He not only takes care of a toddler, but he also contains his mess to just the MBR for the most part? :floorlaugh:


I think he didn't want to get blood anywhere. Bad enough it was all over the MBR, a little in the hall with CY and in CY's bathroom. Not his intent whatsoever. He was intending on a clean kill, per his computer searches. Didn't go that way.



Well not quite...you can hold them in your hand and walk out barefoot or wearing clean socks, then put the clean shoes on in the car...or even drive without shoes on and put them on later when you are about to exit your car.

Dagnabbit, I had to come back and say this... BBM...if you're a random killer who's offed somebody wearing gloves, you're not gonna then walk around a house barefooted and risk leaving footprints, are you?

I don't see it....... he spends his last normal day in the home, knowing he is never coming back...

How are you supposed to act/say... if you are planning to kill someone and get away with it? Where else would he have been?

And IIRC, I think men's shoe sizes run differently than womens too. I remember years YEARS ago, when I was young, wanting to buy a particular style boot. I had to get a guys shoe, and IIRC, I wore like a six or something in men's shoes. A woman's eight and a man's eight, aren't equal, is what I'm trying to say.

Maybe this has been explained and I just missed it, but when I was looking at these photos, what jumped out at me is his change of outfits. One shirt at 11, another at midnight. Why in the world would you check in late on a weeknight to unwind and get a good night's sleep, and then commence to changing outfits? If you had to go outside, say, to read some old really tiny sports scores in the dark, wouldn't you just throw on your jacket? If you were going to get cigar smoke all over something, would you get a fresh shirt out of your bag?

He got to the hotel, took a shower, changed clothes.

Shower woke him up a little and he decided to go downstairs, get a newspaper, smoke a cigar....before he went to sleep.

He was a little nervous and keyed up about his meeting the next am, and also went out to the car to get some work related material.

That's the way I see it.

Agreed. He was apparently doing whatever he wanted already while MY was around, so why would he need to kill her? His mistresses were married so it's not like they were pressuring him to leave MY for them.

Don't you think maybe Michelle wanted to leave HIM? Divorce was not an option in his eyes.

2) If he never went to his meeting
3)If he did not come back to Raleigh that nite
4)If he had cuts or scratches on him
5)If his SUV had any incriminating evidence in it
6)If he left the SUV in Brevard, and came back in his brother in laws car that nite
7)If his daughter freaked out when she saw him again or started screaming for him to get away from her
8)If a murder weapon found was traced back to him
9)If there was a motive that made sense
10)If there was something that happened that day at the house before he left, or something that happened over the phone that nite that made him decide to kill her.

So far, nothing he has said in the last trial has been disputed.

Sadly, I think she was head over heels in love with him. And for the life of me I can't understand why.:banghead: Even if he wasn't a murder (which I believe he is), he is a PIG of a man!! There is nothing redeeming about his looks OR his character. NOTHING! I am so amazed at all of the psychopaths who wind up with such beautiful women. Michelle Young, Susan Powell, Michelle Parker, etc.

So absolutely nothing you have heard or read in this case has compelled you to believe he's anything other than innocent? Are you a smoking gun gal?

I'll give you one thing, you certainly are a loyal and unwavering supporter regardless of the voluminous circumstances pointing to his guilt. I don't follow any of your thought processes, but you always come up with your own logic to rationalize incriminating things.

You could be right Paige. Maybe she was head over heels....and heartbroken that he could not be the man she wanted and HAD no choice but to leave him. I suspect that a woman as strong as Michelle would certainly put herself and her children first and remove them all from a bad marriage which seemed to be deteriorating by the day.

I think maybe after talking to that therapist, it might have given Michelle something to think about. JMO, but given a few more weeks or months, I think she would have come to that conclusion herself. She was hitting bottom, and with a good therapist..........somebody to build up Michelle, give her some of her self confidence and self respect back....
