Yes, it is very suspicious. But the only thing is- clearing your browser history will sometimes help your browser run quicker/better. Flimsy excuse... but still a valid one.

I was just thinking of that. If he cleared out browser history on a regular basis, then it's not as powerful (the clearing part, not the look up part). Of course if it's like BC where he only deleted specific files pertaining to this particular search, he's in trouble.

Maybe the Brad Cooper fans will suggest these searches were planted by the cops?:D

We always talk about how the CSI effect causes juries to require more "a ha" evidence these days, but I think it has been detrimental on another front as well. I think it gives perps insider info they wouldn't have otherwise had--info that provides a possible roadmap for avoiding detection. Nothing is foolproof, thank goodness, but I can envision a potential perp watching CSI shows/trials like this thinking, "Hmmm, so if they can detect 'a' by using 'b,' I'll do 'x' to avoid leaving 'y.'"

I'm sure they (LE) hold back a lot of things (I hope so), but I cringe a bit at the things we learn during these trials.
This computer info is a good example. I find it fascinating, as I did in the BC trial, but if I was looking to do someone in, I now know a lot more about how info is stored than I did previously.

In another NC case that hasn't gone to trial the only thing missing from the victim's home is a laptop, murder weapon (knife) and a knife collection. What may or may not come out during this trial is that the defendant was arrested for embezzlement four months prior to his wife's murder and LE confiscated his laptop and checked his work computers. These guys pay attention to the news, they do learn from other people's mistakes, other cases and they always think they are smarter than the last "cad, crappy husband" that got arrested for murdering his significant other. I think Jason is no exception.

How can this be?? What are possible reasons??

I have no clue but that's what she said. I'm guessing it's because the files were deleted but the searches still appeared on the unallocated space.

I remember this was also discussed in the Casey Anthony trial but I don't recall if they were able to determine when the words were searched in that trial.

And at what point do the books we read start to look like how-to reading materials? I give mine to friends when I'm done so I don't have a whole how-to library for cops to find some day........

I would just have to say I am a trial addict and I have looked up so many things like even chloroform just to see what CA saw but really I feel that tech detectives are so well trained they know how to sift through extraneous information and they are looking for specific things.

BBM

Yeah, DH just confirmed that he clears his once a week, so that things run smoother. I too am curious if JY cleared it all, or specific searches.

I never clear my history. I will now though.

He already did heidi.....last trial.
Every word can be brought in by the defense....his shoe excuse, cigar, door locks, twigs and the car wreck story. All of this w/o taking the stand and answering questions.

You're right... and so far nothing new has come up that would require him to get up there and explain, right? I missed the 1st trial, but have been reviewing as much as possible. Thx

Remember the email he sent to his sister? He mentioned something about the OTHER murder in the area, and they suspected the husband or something, and they've never solved that. He went on to say 'people don't even remember the name.'

I was furious when I read that because I KNEW he was talking about Janet Abaroa.

pffft,

Jason wanted Michelle to go seek help for her sexual issues from her past and issues with her parents divorce.

Michelle wrote to him that communication was one thing they should work on.

(paraphrasing)

She's reading the email now.

As long as he gets his story (lies) in, he would be a fool to take the stand, IMO
