Just happened to easily find MF's testimony on what JLY was wearing when he arrived: dress pants, dress shoes, "thermal cut" crew neck shirt w/ a couple buttons at the neck under an unbuttoned dress shirt.

So if MF said he was wearing dress shoes and LE did not collect dress shoes from that night I really need to go back tonight and listen to JY in last trial explain why he went out and bought another pair of shoes. I gotta go out for a few hour so if anyone knows this please post or else I wll be up very late tonight searching

That was the most compelling evidence thus far, imo. I think the prosecution should've rested their case with that testimony. Even though indirectly, it was evidence from the only eye witness, a 2 year old little girl who witnessed her mommy get murdered.

Geez, this went downhill.
it is now clear as mud where that pullover was.

The jury was left to believe he could have been wearing the pullover at MF's
MF testified to what he was wearing. Nothing about a pullover.
Henley shirt underneath an open dress shirt.
She thought that was odd.

I think the computer testimony with the times of searches is crucial. The emails and affairs should be dropped now. We know he's scum and that's putting it nicely but enough is enough with the affairs. Get to the meat of this trial. How many more emails do we need to see? The lovers testified, we heard the emails.

Tie it all up nicely for this jury. If not, they risk another mistrial, imo

They lost me a couple of times.

does anyone know about how much longer this trial should last?

I read 4 weeks somewhere but not sure if that was the prosecution only. I was wondering how many more witnesses they have to go.

I understand.
Except I doubt the jury will recall that early testimony.
It was not emphasized , so I doubt many took notes..

It is up to Spivey now to recap as he did in that SW so it is clear.
They can recap MF's testimony and what he wore in closing.

They failed last time...hope they learned their lesson

nt,

what you don't understand is that within these emails, which you have announced are not necessary, are proof of lies told on the stand by MM and JY, and possibly others along the way.

Their lies (little and big) are being exposed and by getting them into evidence, the state will be able to argue that in closing.

This trial is not for anyone's entertainment. All these little, tedious, seemingly stupid, pointless items actually do have a purpose. There's no other way to get the stuff in to the record other than have someone testify to it in open court.

As posted above my previous post, the testimony shows that he wasn't wearing that particular shirt, so again, where could it be?

It must have gone to that Goodwill where JY said MY took the Orbitals. JY would have had to have taken the shirt himself, and since he's such a neat-freak and such an organized kinda guy, I'm sure he did because it's gone....

No matter, since JF replaced the shoes with the Clark's Phantom kicks he bought at DSW on Nov. 11th, just days after the Cracker Barrel/murder shoes disappeared/went to Goodwill... hmmmm, wait a minute.... now I'm confused.... just how many Orbitals did he have? :waitasec: something's not right here... anybody got any ideas???

And I think his mama got him the new shirt to wear for his daughter's birthday.

"Phantom" shoes -- think about it.... <<eerie music playing now>>

I'm looking at this as a juror. The timing of the emails is important to me. What they reveal, if anything, means nothing. The lies and more lies. We know already. His lovers testified to it.

The ILY and whatever BS he put in them is so typical of any guy that is having an affair. It doesn't mean he murdered MY. It's just one piece. Give me all the other evidence.

Scott Peterson wasn't convicted because he had an affair with Amber Frey. He was convicted because of all the other evidence putting him at the scene of the crime.

Thanks, I missed that day of MF.
Do you have the link and the time stamp?

Interesting the dress shirt was unbuttoned and over the henley sweater.
Yes, very odd.

Agree. Frankly, I zoned out during the detective's testimony. He didn't seem to have clear recall on things and was lacking confidence. But if I zoned out, who's to say the jurors would not have also. What I felt was left at the end of the testimony (rightly or wrongly) was that LE somehow screwed up in not requesting and obtaining evidence from every point they should have. I think the pros came back on redirect to clarify but it wasn't strong and forceful.

So yeah, the whereabouts of his clothing and what it means fell flat to me. And I didn't recall Meredith's testimony of what JY was wearing, so they will have to re-state that very clearly.

I can also imagine PY doing a 180 on her prior testimony to the tune of.... "Yes, I realize I said nothing was removed, but we were in shock. I seem to recall now that Jason said he spilled (pick your substance) on some clothes and I put them in the laundry hamper. I think I may have donated things to Goodwill between then and when the search warrant was executed.... you can imagine we were in such a state. How could you really expect me to remember?' yada yada yada. I would not put it past her. Turning things around to blame them on other parties might be a hereditary trait!

He did not change clothes at mama's house? Since we know he changed pullovers at the hotel, could he have put on the black pullover that they now show at the birthday party. We were comparing it to the light pullover at the front counter of HI when he checked in.

His mama had him put on a light-colored Henley-style top under his dress shirt at her house because she said she was afraid he'd go into shock on the drive to Raleigh. It was shown in court today, IINM.

If you're looking at this as a juror, then you'll need to follow the judge's instructions. Until the case is over you "haven't heard all the evidence." That's what the judge says 3 times a day.

As a juror you have no idea what else is going to be coming in until it does. You would not be reading message boards to get a preview. You would not be watching testimony from trial #1. As a juror you would sit there and take notes (or not) and listen (or maybe, not) as witnesses testify.

At the end, and not until the end, you would have been presented everything.

Just a nit, but I thought the testimony was he purchased shoes at DSW in Cary (I spend a lot of time there!) on Monday the 6th at 1:30ish in the afternoon. I thought it was odd that he went shoe shopping so quickly after the murder and as soon as he got Cassidy into daycare.

More details from Ma Pat.....this time about how he ended up with that creme henley sweater on.

(Dark pants and dress shoes)

Mama was worried he could go into shock during the ride to Raleigh

He DID leave the car when he got to his mom's. He testified he was stretched out on a lazy boy type chair when his sister came in the house to see him after he got the news of the murder.

And remember, sports fans, "he fell plumb to his knees" after he was told about Michelle when he was walking across the yard into the house. :floorlaugh:

Other than him saying he went fishing in that area what other evidence did they have? This case is so different, IMO.
