The defense never said it was the same shirt.
They showed some pics of Jason and Cassidy and in one of them he had on a lighter striped shirt.
No one has ever said they were the same shirts.

Wait a sec.. Why else would the defense show this picture except to imply that it was the same shirt. May not be an outright lie, but it does show deception.

it is pretty big imhoo to lie on the stand about phone calls that he made/to whom he made them when both sides had the phone records in discovery, etc.

lie about one thing (esp after you admit you suck as a husband) well, I am not so sure I believe anything else he is telling me.

:twocents:

it is big lie to me... as any lie on the stand would be to me:twocents:
I agree that Jason is a lying liar who tells lie after lie and can't be believed about anything. The prosecution has proven that, IMO.

But many of us know how well that worked for the PT down in Florida.

I hope this jury is smarter than that one.

IRA account ... money in account ... $20,000.

I guess he should have liquidated that ...

  • #424
ok, this $ part is kinda pointless because one month's worth of lawyer fees would've used the money up..... just thinking out loud.

  • #425
Jason had a line of equity ... was that supposed to be used for personal legal costs?

I guess keeping his daughter or not is "personal" :waitasec:

Love it.

I guess little Mr. Jason DID have the money to fight for CY if he had wanted to.

I know you are right Fran but I'm worried about the jury. If this is killing me, is it killing them as well? Can they even understand what dots are being connected through all of this slow and drawn out testimony and when even the tone and modulation of HC's voice never changes? I am worried--especially if this is the supposed 'good stuff'.

I attended the Samantha Runnion murder trial. I too was at first taken aback by how undramatic the pros and def lawyers appeared. But the jury isn't there for drama and they're soaking up every word. They look on it differently than we do, in the comfort of our own home or whatever. They watching every move, very closely.

JY testified he did not have money to fight the custody battle.Good job of showing JY did have such money for custody.

401K for Jason ... $32000 transferred into that account.
Balance when closed $24000

Apparently they did need two trials.

Now they proved it, among other things.

I doubt this jury will make the same mistake the first jury did. I believe they'll convict this time.

PS....of course, I could be wrong. :( because I do believe JY murdered his wife. But then, I'm not on the jury so what I think doesn't matter. fran

These are little things, though.
We know the anniversary dinner did not go well.
LF testified that MY came home upset, and then went back out to look for Jason.....

I agree ... legal fees eat up all the money available, no matter how much there is to start.

oh crap he had liquid assets. He could of easily got his daughter. 60,000.00:seeya:

JLY draining the line of equity on a monthly basis, sounds like. Chaz Schwabb account for JLY $20,000.00. Poor JLY 'couldn't afford' a custody fight. 401K JLY, $24,173.89. Man, he's a pauper. How come he's not paying off the wrongful death suit? Money available to JLY, $60,000.00.

Now they're showing the JY's excuse for not fighting for custody of his daughter, was NOT because of lack of money as he claimed.

This is all going to be tied up into a little finely distinct package in closing. The picture will be there.

This was murder, preplanned, just a vicious murder of a mother and unborn child. :(

JY had close to $60K CASH in an account. Yet he could not afford to answer a legal filing.

  • #437
To me that proves he was more worried about the depot, than Cassidy. IMO

*mock juror hat*

Well, IMO, it's not a little thing that he had the money to fight for his daughter, but instead gave her away like a puppy he was tired of.

his concern was about saving his own azz!

Well, no one ever said they were having financial difficulties.....and that has always been a possible motive.

Maybe by this time, the house had sold.......and we know the other money was his pension check.

This means crap, I am sorry.

I reserve the right to retract this if something big happens........:)

I don't know many people that cash in all their investments, retirement funds, etc for a custody battle ... just saying. It's never ending, so people usually put forth what is available in a savings and current earnings.
