There was no way they would pay out during an ongoing murder investigation, to Jason.

It was awarded to LF and MF for CY as a result of the wrongful death verdict, where JY was declared by Judge S. as the slayer of MY

Have they asked him, or has he identified, where the rock is from?

Thank you, it wasn't made clear (to me) with the testimony.

I still say his house/his DNA=nothing.

We need Allunsoz !!

This is their specialty.

Terrible question from pros. 1 in 6.8 billion chance he touched rock??? Good gosh did I hear that right?

And she stopped.

Agree, this is not earth shattering testimony as it wasn't last time.

The sheetrock could not determine how long it had been there, and
the rock is no where near being a match.

Not good testimony for the state.

Dna profile excluded both MY and JY from the sprinkler.

Why did the Pros call him?

It ended just as badly as last time.....did they think it would be different this time?

1 in 79 people would also have the same 2 markers as the person who touched the rock. JY is one of those people. He cannot be excluded. However, if you sample 79 more caucasian people, you would expect to find another person to also have those 2 same markers.

A waste.

No you did not hear that right.

The chance that someone ELSE other than JY left the finger/hand print on the sheet rock in his bedroom is 1 in 6.8 billion (in other words...it matches JY).

Alone this means nothing because it's his bedroom so you would expect that.

HOWEVER, there was some blood splatter on that wall and this splatter did not hit that finger/hand print where investigators expected a spray pattern would have. The theory is that JY had his hand on the wall for leverage as he was bent over beating his wife to death. Her blood spray went all over the wall and up to almost the ceiling, but not any on this particular finger/hand print. It won't be until closing that they point this out to the jury (as they did in Trial #1 during David Saacks closing). You may say "so what," but I think it's a very good point that needs to be made.

Alluded to another person, saying they were excluded as well.
That was a waste of time, between that and the insurance policy.
Maybe they should have rested with Spivey..

Court is over for the day.

Did anyone hear what will happen tomorrow for start time or even if they will have court?
TIA

I don't know many people that cash in all their investments, retirement funds, etc for a custody battle ... just saying. It's never ending, so people usually put forth what is available in a savings and current earnings.

In addition to cashing in every single account I have, I would sell everything I owned as well if it meant I could keep my children. They are priceless.

It seems to me, or I should say I am somewhat surprised that they found no HI transfers on his clothing. I would expect if you stayed you would at least pickup some fibers? I guess not.

  • #836

I just said the same thing...

S. Weiss said it was nowhere near being a match to Jason, which is exactly what he said the first time.

IMO, the prosecution has to present evidence like this to get it out there first. If they don't bring in everything in their case, the defense can bring it in on theirs - and that would make the state look shady. Best to get the bad facts out there and show the jury you aren't making stuff up to convict poor JY.

Are they trying to imply that the killer messed with the e-Bay papers?

Sprinkling little seeds of doubt wherever they can...

Nope, not a thing about tomorrow.

I am looking at my witness list from the first trial, and I see Jennifer Sproles has not been called yet, she was the medical director from Jason's meeting.

She helped the defense more though than the state.

And ,Keith Patterson, who they may bypass because of the undercover agent's testimony, cell phone expert.....(A T & T)

Also, Tiki Ingrams , Gracie's boss.

Custody is based on best interests of the child. Someone without a home or a job and no savings versus someone with a home (Meredith) ... custody could very well have gone to Meredith regardless of how much money was spent.
