After reading last nights posts and this morning, I was left wondering how many more blows would there have been if CY had not interrupted her mom's "spanking?" I am convinced there would have been more than 30!

I have been wondering if PY takes the stand again this trial (if defense puts on a case) will she tell that adorable imp story of JY mooning his grand mom.

I imagine he started this at an early age and was not reprimanded. WHen I was a kid, my butt would have been worn out from the spanking I received if I had done that. Perhaps that was a Transylvania thing.

IMO, I think why JY was not on any cameras that morning is because he went out of the hotel exit door.
Bottom line JY did not know what they would find on those cameras so that is why he keep his mouth shut and let the police prove what they had to prove!!

I keep going back to the other girl he was boffing at the same time he and michelle were *dating*. IIRC, lived in the same townhouse complex? I knew the family years ago, knew the parents & children. This could just as easily been their daughter. Another traditionally southern family, steeped in southern roots and traditions. How close they came to sitting at the other table here.

As I watched each of the three women, ex-fiancee and the two mistresses, that thought crossed my mind wondering if each of them felt but for the grace of God it could have been them.

If I was on that jury I would look at the fact that his (JY) defense team makes the point that there is no picture of JY moving the camera .... well then we know the camera was moved and there is no footage of anyone moving it. Its not like the police have someone else moving the camera and have a picture of that and are blaming JY. To me sometimes this looks like it hurts the pros but if you think about it makes the defense look stupid.

I have confidence in the prosecution and jury in that even though it looks like a pingpong slam from the outisde, it's well laid out.

The child's testimony was unambiguous.

I don't think that Spivey was a strong witness, but he worked in terms of getting previous testimony into evidence ... where Jason started bantering with the prosecution - an answer for everything.

With all due respect children that young DO NOT articulate spanking for hitting. CY was in day care. If children strike one another they are told "don't hit!". Parents refer to a spanking as something they do to a child. If the child does it to someone else (including the parent!) the parent would say "don't hit!". The fact that CY said mommy was being spanked points to no one but mommy or daddy. And we know Michelle didn't do that to herself so...

I disagree. CY went to daycare, even as an only she knew about hitting from being around other kids. My own 2 yo daughter says "XXXXX hit me!" (meaning one of her brothers) and has said "Daddy spanked me :*(" when getting a tap on the hand from her daddy for scratching.

I understand every child is different, it's just IMO at this age and from hearing about CY's advanced development, I think she knew about hitting and spanking.

I disagree. At that age children do understand the difference between hitting and spanking IMO. My grandson's know about 'getting a spanking'. Spankings come from mommy or daddy. Yet when they 'run to tell' on each other, they never say 'Zack *spanked* me.' They always say 'Zack HIT me.' They understand the difference between the refrences of HITTING & SPANKING. Parent's spank, the kids 'hit' each other.
