That would be something....

However, all the defense needs is one friend or family member to say that they have seen him smoke a cigar.

I am afraid the smoking cigar is not the smoking gun.......:)

Yea, I am waiting on that.
I have no doubt Jay was smoking cigars all summer.

:noooo:

If all his friends knew that he never smoked a cigar, wouldn't his family also know that ... and if his family also knew that, shouldn't they have known from the time that he testified that he was lying about why he walked out the west entrance of the hotel at midnight ... and if they knew he was lying about why he left the hotel ... shouldn't they have some serious doubts about his innocence?

Love is blind?? Or he is more important to them than the fact that e murdered his wife and left his daughter alone to deal with it. Much like Cindy Anthony may have "cared" for Caylee, when it came down to defending Casey, it appears she didn't really give a flying fig about Caylee.

I thnk he's toast ... even his lawyers looked like they were defeated when the approached the bench at the end of the day. I wonder if Jason is thinking about running and if his mom is keeping him on a leash to protect her property ... I wonder what matters more to her - her son out of jail or her money.

Josh conveniently doesn't remember whether he ever asked Jason about that night? He doesnt' remember inquiring about the investigation? And then, once it was in the news about Michelle Money, Josh calls LE to share more information. Sounds like he's willing to save his own butt, but not to help with an investigation to find his "friend" Michelle's killer unless he's potentially going to be impacted. Yuk. I'd call him a subtly hostile witness.

If I'm understanding you correctly, I didn't get that impression of Josh's testimony. Certainly your view may be the more accurate one...

What he said doesn't say much for JY, IMO. JY was his friend, but apparently Josh saw a little more of him and didn't like some of what he saw. The butt protection may be there, but he also may have thought that he was holding info that he should have shared. He was a friend of MY's too.

And we don't know what Julie may have said to Josh, either.

And if Josh had asked JY about the investigation or that night, I feel sure JY would have told him that his atty told him not to discuss it. Or JY could have preempted his questions by telling him not to ask since his atty told him not to discuss it.

JMO, but I think JY has been the favorite little boy in the family a long time. And he still is family. I can't be too hard on them for loving him. Now what they know in their heads may conflict with their hearts. I don't know, but I don't expect them to voice that. IMO

Add all the wind speed that was entered into testimony it reinforces that the going outside to smoke a cigar story by JY is bogus. No guy/gal would do that if they were not a regular smoker ....

Perhaps he was considering a victory cigar after getting rid of his wife but ran out of time after all the driving and the 30 blows.

No one is around someone for 24 hours a day though.

This is a guy that took off into the mountains and hiked the Appalachian trail, who knows what he smoked??

The Pros had every shot of impeaching Jason for the last 7-8 months with his testimony.

Did they?
No.
Did they even come close?
No.

I guess that's it ... that they want to overlook the obvious. I don't see how his mom could know her son, hear the evidence and not have some serious questions about his innocence.

I am going to guess she would not only give the little imp her blessing to run, she'd aid, abet and finance the whole thing! She is as much an enabler as Cindy Anthony. Hey those two should get together and have lunch! They could setup their psycho kids! Narcissistic psychopaths of a feather should flock together!!! Casey would love the wiener tricks!!!

I missed part of Josh's testimony. What did BH ask that the defense objected to?

I assumed that Jason did an occassional smoke cigars, but did think it was a bit odd for him to do that at midnight by himself outside a hotel on a cold windy night. If he doesn't smoke the occassional cigar - then it's even more bizarre, but Pat would have known that all along.

Whether he advised him to get an attorney because he thought Jay was involved...

For the DT to bring in a witness now that would testify to having seen JY smoke cigars, I firmly believe it has to be someone from his group of friends at that time period and not a family member for anyone on the jury to give that testimony any weight at all.

IMO

I'm very curious about what Pat is thinking ... it may be a bit like Scott Peterson with the car in his mom's name, ID from his sibllings, credit cards from all sorts of people, buckets of cash ... I suspect the police will have a close eye on him while the jury is deliberating.

The WDS ruling was very damaging....imo

I don't know what the defense has planned, but they are in this until the end.

I thought Jason also said that he started smoking cigars while working at Black & Decker(or whatever company he said was his 2nd job out of college)

He could have mainly smoked at work functions so that would explain why his friends never saw him smoking.

Oh I just had a horrifying thought! Can you imagine Jackie P, Cindy and Ma Pat together?? Yikes!!!!
