BBM. Very interesting, thanks for sharing.

I don't believe SS was invited over later, I believe SS stated she and Michelle made plans earlier that day.

MY already had plans with her friend and after CY spending all day at daycare, why would MY want her daycare provider to spend more time at their home? To me, that makes no sense at all.

It is interesting that the daycare worker knew Jason was going to be out of town. I wonder if she was ever on the suspect list.

I didn't mean MY invited SS over later, after talking to the babysitter.

I meant the babysitter was unaware that SS was coming over later.

I do as well. I hope very much that I am proven wrong. Just remember, at the time of the BC custody lawsuit, there was no criminal case against him either.

BC's children were removed from his care via court order. I don't see that case having any relevance to this case other than showing Ms. Stubbs to be a very capable attorney.

SS wasn't coming over "later" she was coming to eat dinner. I find it very strange that Michelle would make plans with a friend and then turn around and invite the daycare worker to join in.

SS and MY had made plans the week(s) prior to watch GA that nite.

I was surprised when the daycare worker/babysitter said MY invited her too, because SS made it sound like this was supposed to be just her and Michelle's nite together, because they had not seen each other for awhile and were going to catch up and watch their show ..

One of the other reasons was that Jason was to be out of town.

We also can't forget how scared SS was that nite, that she felt someone was watching them, so much so, that she asked MY to walk her outside to her car.

Actually, her testimony is that she does remember someone else (another friend) was going to be there as well. She just couldn't remember the name of the friend and she didn't remember anything being talked about Gray's Anatomy.

( I just listened to her testimony. )

She says she remembers something about pizza and we also have SS testimony that she brought Italian food.

Omgosh! I'm watching the 1st part of the DC Teacher testimony. Jason was asked if he was excited about having a baby boy and his response was "It's the only way I can get Michelle to have sex with me." Who says stuff like this to a teacher??? Ewww!

I need to see that doll demo again, was CY holding one doll and the chair in one hand, and in the other hand the Mommy doll?

Would she even be able to hold a doll and a chair in the same little hand?

I have to go look at that again.

I'm definitely going to watch this testimony this weekend.

According to links provided upthread, Deaver was involved in blood analysis in this case:

"prosecutors will have to figure out what to do about Deaver's bloodstain pattern analysis in the 2006 death of Michelle Young, a pregnant woman whose husband, Jason Young"

http://www.newsobserver.com/2011/02/21/1003842/doubt-spatters-old-cases.html#storylink=cpy

Do you have a link stating the opposite?

You are right.
Deaver was involved at some point, the Pros just cleverly went around him by calling another witness to testify instead.

This is one of the things the defense should address along with the TOD not being more precise.

I don't share your opinion that Jason's own attorney is in any way a threat to him because I don't believe Jason confessed his guilt of murder to her and that is the only thing that would cause him harm with this jury.

JMO

It isn't just an actual confession that would harm JY.

If an attorney client privilege is waived, then all discussions, strategy, work product notes, advice, etc...everything under the sun can be asked about. All of this is protected otherwise. I don't believe for one second that Ms. Stubbs was not privy to meetings or discussions between JY and Mr. Smith during this time and would have known everything going on from the criminal standpoint of the investigation and their stance on JY's position, statements, strategy with LE, etc.

IMO this would all be fair game for cross examination if she sits down in the witness chair.

I can't see anything of value that she could offer that was not already covered through cross examination with the prosecution family attorney witness.

SS testified about food at the last trial.

If the daycare worker claims to be a friend, I wonder if LE has her fingerprints.

Well they had to. Might be why couldn't get absolute proof with the bloodstain/or not on the wall handprint.

How close do you think TOD needs to be in this case? Or any for that matter?

JMO

I didn't watch the last trial nor did I watch any of SS testimony from the last trial.

I saw her testimony in this trial and she testified she brought Italian food.

This daycare worker was also their babysitter at their home so her fingerprints would be expected to be inside their home.

The SBI analyst involved in the Young case was Duane Deaver, who was fired because he fabricated blood spatter evidence in other cases.

I don't think 'false positives' for blood is the same as 'fabricating blood spatter evidence.'

Can anyone tell me how you feel the prosecution is doing in this trial compared with the last? Any holes repaired?

I think Ms. Stubbs can handle any cross examination by the prosecution team.

I'll continue to hold the opinion that the defense will call any witness they think will help their client, including Ms. Stubbs and the child's therapist.

Wouldn't it be strange if she testifies on behalf of Jason Young, yet, she was the one who was involved with the depo
against Brad Cooper ?

Thanks Talina. I suppose I wasn't clear - you're right, the babysitter didn't know it was SS specifically.

What in the world is strange about making plans with a friend and inviting someone else?

And more importantly, why are we still talking about something that was posted here incorrectly in the first place, that has caused any number of us to waste time correcting it?

The upshot of the whole deal is, CY and JY most certainly did not mow together and wash their feet together. MY picked CY up later than usual, and the babysitter was in no way confused.
