I think she meant when LE expanded the time frame from 12-5am to 12-6am when soliciting feedback from people out and about.

Interesting thought. Wonder if the guy who parked at the no-camera pump and yelled at Gracie and over-paid for the gas he pumped has come forward yet.....

Maybe he doesn't live in this state, was just passing through, or has never heard of this trial?

Since no one has come forward in either case, the jury could conclude that the two witnesses cancel each other out.

If that were the case, the problem for the state would be that since the burden of proof is on them, a big part(I would argue the only part) of their 'proof' would be canceled out.

The defense only has to create reasonable doubt.

Good point, but there probably wasn't the same level of publicity/request for info in that area (hours away), driver (if not JY) was likely not a Wake Co. resident, and the investigation re: 4 bros happened much later.

How coincidental would that be? On the night of MY's murder, someone just happens to turn around in their driveway at precisely the time this woman was leaving? It usually doesn't take more than a few seconds to turn around. And usually the lights in the house wouldn't be on for that.

How coincidental that someone yelled at Gracie at a time that fits in with the Prosecution's timeline......... What's one more coincidence - there's tons in this case.

If turning around why come fwd out of the driveway... Anytime I've had to turn around in someones driveway I pull in and back out...

Well that's a strange statement to make... basically if her story didn't fit what they needed it to fit she'd withdraw her testimony because she had other things to do.

That gives me pause...

I'm sure there were dozens of cash purchases along the same route that would have fit into the timeline as well. Makes it no more likely that it was JY than someone else.

Entirely possible! Someone with that kind of a temper for a poor gas station girl could very well be in the slammer now!!
