Yup, Brad Cooper. I was so hoping for Boz this time around. :( It's something when the preference is for Becky over the other prosecutor. :( Especially since she didn't do much the first time around. :maddening:

Yes, Gracie, I agree with you! This trial would so benefit if Boz were on it!!!

LOL He is boring in the way he presents his questions.

The Young residence on Birchleaf is in Raleigh. MF lives in Fuquay Varina

So even though it's outside the city limits, it's still considered a Raleigh address? Thanks. Our address is listed as a city in Wake Co., even though we are actually located in Johnston Co.

So will the jury have the 911 call available in the deliberation room. Also during the closing statements can it be suggested that the jury listen again to the 911 call.

I almost wish I hadn't watched the first trial, because they are losing me.

In my experience, if it's entered into evidence, the jury *should be* allowed to have that tape in the jury room during deliberations. Not sure about Wake Co. legal stuff. I know in other states trials, that has been the case.

I love this judge with his "be careful about your conduct" For some reason it just strikes me funny.

Morning break.

You will HAVE TO rewatch this later when it is posted online. It was very compelling IMO.

Thank you for the heads up. I will absolutely go back and find it tonight. So happy it came out and hope it wasn't lost on the jurors.

So much for trying to follow the case on TTV. :what:

They just said there were 2 two year old children found hiding under the bed in the Young's home.

Good grief...:what:

Good grief is right. If they are going to report this stuff they need to get it correct. Last week on Nancy Grace's show she got something all screwed up too. I can't remember what it was now but it was a stupid, glaring error.

Wonder why Meredith and Linda Fisher left the courtroom after she was finished on the stand this morning? There was a quick shot on WRAL of them walking toward the back?

I figured that's what you meant, Grammy. :fence:

I would imagine they needed a break and Meredith probably needed a hug. JMO
That has to be gut wrenching to testify no matter who you thought did it.

Hi Octobermoon.....:)

There are extra reasons for this though.

Juror Selection was a mess with Jurors being dismissed, and the fact this is a retrial with the first one having a hung jury is going to make Juror behavior even more scrutinized.

I could use a break, TTV has no idea what the heck they are talking about.
I feel like they are following another case in another country in another timezone in another world.

Don't they get briefed or notes or something?

Any recaps from anyone for earlier today, I missed most of it..

Thank you.

My guess would be they'd been informed that crime scene photos are going to be introduced or an autopsy report entered. Usually those closest to the victim leave the courtroom when those events occur, so they don't have to see & hear the details of what actually happened to their loved one.

You are probably correct.

This whole case is gut wrenching.

I can't figure what direction the defense is going in this time. Not looking good so far.

Yes, I watched that too, NCEast.

It was a mess, they reported that MY was five years pregnant and CY was also under the bed..

Terrible reporting on this case.

Oh, wait, they also said Jason checked into the hotel and then left right away too.

:what:

IIRC, they stayed last time for that.

Maybe they just needed a break and are already back in there.

Since this is a retrial and in all fairness to the Fisher family as well as the taxpayers, I honestly think they should have put their absolute sharpest ADA in first chair, BH in second, and HC as advisor. Even if they had to take their best sharp shooter off another case, this case is costing the taxpayers money not to mention the main participants, ie witnesses, jurors, etc. may be losing a paycheck or two. The DA's office knows all too well that they screwed up the first trial and should have paved the way for this trial to be exemplary because it's garnered so much local and national attention. I understand what John Fear mentioned about Howard Cummings but gosh, he just grates on my nerves with his down home demeanor. Does absolutely nothing for momentum.
