I'm lost. Why did SS have to leave the stand in the middle of her testimony? This judge can be so quiet on my feed I miss what he says.

He was able to produce the ring first thing in the morning, so it's unlikely that he actually swallowed it.

As strange as the ring incident sounds, it was also on an episode of
"According to Jim".
Jim swallowed his wedding ring rather than to admit he lost it.

And, the magic marker incident, when we get to that one, was featured on
"Friends" as well.........Ross drew a face on Rachel while she was asleep as well.

So, while that does not excuse Jason's behavior, he did say he did not really swallow the ring.

I , and, I hope the Jurors will want more than stupid animal house antics to convict someone of murder.

Otto, when today's testimony is through, I have some questions about the bathroom photo of CY's footprints.

But didn't the ring's owner have to reschedule her flight to a later time because of his inane antics?

I don't remember, I only remember thinking that the ring came back awfully fast for having been swallowed.

I watched this case from Day 1. That 911 call was already out in the www and you could CLEARLY hear CY say 'daddy did it.'

At least that's what I heard. But then, subsequent broadcasts seemed to have removed that portion of the call. I know if you go back to the very first thread or so about this case, Weblseuths posters discussed this. I THOUGHT, LE had asked the station to cut that part out as it was part of the investigation.

Swallowing a ring and drawing on someone's face while they are asleep is not proof of murder, and no one is saying it is.

These situations provide context into the personality and character of JY. Just like cheating on one's wife is not proof of murder either. No one can or will convict just because someone is a total jerk. However, the jury will likely note these are not the actions of someone who loves, cherishes, and respects his wife. And they will likely wonder about that, as people do tend to compare someone's behavior to their own lives to determine what seems normal and what does not.

I must have missed this woman's testimony during the first trial. I didn't realize that the incident where JY stripped nekkid in front of the group was just prior to MY being murdered. I thought it happened when they were in college!

Between that, the ring incident, and the {flirting} at the get together that HE attended without MY because he'd lied and said it was 'guys only,' points towards JY being extremely immature.

Poor MY, :(

This whole 2nd trial has me lost.
I have notebooks filled from the first trial of testimony, maybe I should stop trying to compare.

:maddening:

It's obvious by JY's antics, he did NOT want to be married. He wanted to be free of responsibilities. That works into a husband who might take any way out he can.

I'm glad they brought up that it was not normal for JY to PLAN, yet coincidentally the exact night his wife was murdered, he layed out a set plan of his trip.

Like they say, 'There's NO coincidence when it comes to murder.'

just sayin'

what just happened, they took Shelly off and put Gracie Dahms Bailey on. Then she says she got hit by a coca cola truck ????
jason driving it ? j/k but i think they're saying gracie can't testify because she has been injured.
sounds like twilight zone

Just don't leave here! I find this trial so disjointed at times it is nice to hear from those that have followed from the start.

Do you know what Gracie is going to testify to or about?

My first time posting on here....

I like the way they put MeF on the stand for so long....painting MY as a person and a loving, caring mom. I think that was missing from the first trial.

IMHO, IF this witness had not previously testified as to the 'planning' part of her last conversation with the defendant, the def att is going to go after that. But to me, it's a simple POSSIBLE explanation.

She said that in hindsight, it was weird. Well, she MAY have voiced her concern of this fact to friends and family when discussing this case, and she may not have said anything to the pros prior to her testimony. Thus, it was never brought up because the pros didn't even know about it.

The saying goes that an attorney won't ask a question that he doesn't already know the answer to.

After the mistrial, the pros most likely sat this state's witness down and asked her if there was ANYTHING she could recall that she hadn't testified to, that could HELP with the pros. IMHO, that would be a simple explanation on why her testimony MAY have changed, a bit. It's not really changed, she just elaborated more.

Like often times when LE asks for the public's help, they say 'if you remember anything about that night, even something you don't think could be relative to the crime, please call us.'

I doubt you will find anyone who can or will defend some of Jason's behavior, including his own attorney's, but you can also have someone who never in their life did anything wrong and just one day flipped out and went on a killing spree.

Whoever killed Michelle was in such a rage in the moment.......that trying to say Jason left the home peacefully, stopped to eat at a country restaurant, looked normal on the hotel videos, alll of a sudden turned into this raging lunatic killer is a big leap from someone who swallowed a ring, drew a magic marker face, or went to the bathroom on someone's rug.........

And yet it happens. A planned murder escalates. This murder started as a strangulation. MY fought back (scratches on her own neck as she tries to pry off the killer's likely gloved hands). Then the killer starts beating her with some object (now missing). The rage grew as MY first fought for her life. It was a deeply personal killing. The person knew MY and wanted her dead, wanted her out of his life for good. Divorce by murder.

Think it's that rare? Here's a few names for you of husbands who did just that, while seemingly acting normally mere hours before: Scott Peterson, Brad Cooper, Josh Powell, Mark Hacking.

Remember that British guy who murdered his wife and young daughter?? Can't recall his name right now. And so many more.....

Sociopath comes to mind. I am curious what does dining at a country restaurant have to do with proof of innocence?

So did those of us whose video feed cut out at the end miss something or not? I thought they simply were taking a lunch break?
