This is actually "refreshing" to watch. The prosecutors easily got the point across that JY is a douchebag and bad husband. I'm glad we aren't watching a parade of all her friends coming in saying he was a douchebag and bad husband. Now moving onto the hotel and that evidence. This trial seems to be moving so much faster than the BC trial. We're in day 2 and already had the autopsy results, character type witnesses, the person that found the body and the first responders. This is good.

Defense did not accuse L.E. in this case of being "inept, corrupt, not thorough."

It really helps when the perp leaves lots of blood and doesn't clean a crime scene thoroughly - people believe a crime occurred. People understand blood.

It also helps when the perp tries to create an albi that people can understand. A rock in a door. Low-tech. An unplugged camera. Low-tech.

And it also helps when the victim has been faithful in her marriage, hasn't had any dalliances, is a working adult, and doesn't spend too much money. Otherwise the victim gets painted in an ugly light, as if they are not really a victim.

So JLY came back in through the same door. He would have had to use his Hampton Inn card to scan and then open the door, yes? Because this door would have been locked and the rock had been removed. Then he moved the camera.

5:50AM...camera plugged back in...20 minutes(6:10AM) later after plugging back in....camera then pushed up to ceiling...Jay would have arrived from King NC about that time

He somehow got back in the same door he had exited. Maybe he followed a guest in? This would have been at 6:15am. But then JLY jumps up and pushes the camera so it's pointed to the ceiling. So, whoever let him in didn't see or hear this? And there's no video of him coming back in and no witness who saw him come in?

No... see my pic...the camera was behind grey door...he could have come in glass door, avoiding the camera aimed down hall

edit: he sure was "lucky" that someone came out that door that early in the morning to let him back in. I guess they never located this mystery person who left at that time?

How weird would it have been to come back, find that door closed, and then have to wait and wait and wait for someone to come out the door. Tick Tock.

Other than the side door, there is no other way to avoid video...so yes, it seems he came in the glass door as another guest left.

They don't have absolute proof he was not in his room. He was not spotted coming back in and was not seen on video and no witness has placed him at that door. Yes, we know it was HIM. But technically, there is no proof, merely inference.
