lol

This has been so long......I know we've discussed some of these things before. I think we hashed the fact that he might have gone back to the hotel to get his cell phone which he left to avoid pings.
Ahhh, the cell phone.
That should be at least an entire day, especially since he called mama 28 times after the murder....not to mention ignoring LF's calls and frantic VM he listened to.
Did I mention all his calls to his money squeeze?

Hmmmm....another husband ignoring urgent cell phone calls the very day his wife is murdered.

I'm seeing more than a few parallels in these cases.

Can't wait for the computer forensics.
When did he Google: "head trauma knockout" and "anatomy of a knockout,"?
I May be disappointed, cause it was planned as a soft kill/strangulation,right?

I did learn something today - that being that one of Michelle's legs was still caught up in the comforter and partially on the bed. Kinda sounds like he did plan to strangle her but it just didn't work, she fought back. Made him mad so he knocked her down and beat her head - 30 blows worth so the ME said. Pure rage, and making sure. Still have to wonder what was used, had to have been something relatively handy.

Was the lamp intact and in its normal place? Was there any blood or tissue on it (or had he cleaned that off of it)?

  • #329
Dunno, one lamp was listed in the search warrant for the house - listed blood on it, believe it was on the shade for some reason. One lamp in the bedroom - thinking that is not likely. Have never heard anything about the "murder weapon" from official sources anyhow. Suspect it was long gone along with his clothes.

Still studying on the running water on the backside of the house. Police officer confirmed today what Meredith said she heard.

The crime scene photo I saw (after WD suit/public record), showed the decedent on the floor, moved over 1-2 feet from the original massacre (so he could open closet door), right leg pushed up against the bed.
The side table was shown, but cropped so I could not see a lamp. There was no lamp clearly visible on the floor(10' area). Could well have been the murder weapon and out of view?

You'd think Becky would have asked Meredith about another lamp. She did ask her about the jewellry box.

  • #332
So what was the murder weapon then? If he planned and obviously tried strangulation he wouldn't have entered the bedroom with a weapon. Otoh maybe he did grab one of those maglites to see his way through the house and had that in his pocket.

We've always had a flashlite and a sawed off bat in one of the night table drawers. Paranoia on my husband's part! lol We do live in a very safe neighborhood. lol

Dr Clark said "HEAVY blunt object".
Definitely not a mag lite.
If not a lamp base, aluminum softball bat from garage?

Interesting that 2 days into testimony, there are no JY is innocent folks posting or even really any fence sitters. Very different from the BC trial. Almost boring (for the forums).

JLY is such an idiot as well as a cold calculating double murderer. His reckless, juvenile behavior outside of the act - classless party "jokes", snubbing the Fishers so blatantly, ignoring investigators, etc., speaks volumes. He's a total jerk. Refused to cooperate, but LE put the truth together. It's all come tumbling down in court. Man oh man. He really, really ... really thought he was so clever "setting his stage". From his goodbye kiss to Michelle ... through to his swift escape to Momma-ville after the funeral with his FAKE TEARS. All of it ... utter BS. The hotel story is a very hard nut for the defense to crack.

Snowshuze ... *thank you* so much for your running commentary! Brilliant. Hi to everyone else. Here comes the next wife-&-own-baby killer to be give a new home for the rest of his life.

Last Q ... gorealtors ... when you were in court (or anyone else here, can't remember, sorry guys) ... did you notice JLY as pale and drained as he looks in the pics? Without sunshine, he almost looks like rickets will set in! Bleck.

OK :D ... I'm done ... ready to catch up - and thanks again to you all!

Polk

Both Deputy Erb(?) and the EMS fellow testified one leg was tangled in the comforter and still on the bed. Testified yesterday morning early about it. Deputy Erb also heard the water running in the backyard and described it much as Meredith.
